Democracy and its solution

The disease we have found, is democracy.So what is the cure? Liberty,founded on individual rights!In all the talk of protecting minorities the one minority democatarians have no time for whatsoever is the individual.His rights can be trampled on because he does not belong to any group,or tribe or gang,he is not part of the identity politics that gives advantages based on a person's collective association or pressure group.

If an individual's rights are violated in the process of giving rights to some group or gang whether it be black people,the poor,women etc you can be sure that the one thing that is not being observed is  the principle of justice and rights.

Dimocracy

How telling is it that almost half the electorate cannot decide who to vote for.It is the same non existential dillema one faces when confronted by two seemingly identical products in different packaging in the supermarket and there appears to be no way of determining which to purchase.

The public's frustration with the political system democracy  has not been correctly analysed in this election as the last thing the intelligentsia and media want to do is identify the elephant in the room and risk the whole system collapsing around them.So I will do it instead.The problem gentle reader/s is democracy itself.You are all frustrated because you have a sense of powerlessness but that is precisely the intent of those who designed the thing we call democracy.It is called in classic terms the divide and rule strategy.

Democracy is designed to suck the independence from the individual whilst appearing to empower the same .This ingenious construct has fooled pretty much all the people all the time and continues to do so to this very day as no one is saying the fault lies not in us but in democracy itself,they are merely saying something has to be done to make democracy work effectively.Profound error!


And what absurd solutions to this problem they proffer: compulsory voting,proportional representation,public funding of political parties.Apart from anything else if you fail to identify the problem correctly you will be putting forward solution to a problem that does not exist whilst ignoring the actual problem.

Do not think for one moment that this is some sort of accident.Those coming up with all the false analysis and false solutions are the same people who are behind the democracy scam and want it perpetuated to infinity.

Vox Populi Scam

Have you noticed how the putative vox populi put forward by the media to hold forth for minute or two all seem to be droning from the same liberal hymn sheet ?A very selective vox populi indeed with the same depressing unthinking dull pro establishment views.These dullards are about as independent thinking as a BBC audience.

So we can put the vox populi with the rigged dodgy polls with their flawed methodlogy as a joint conspiracy designed to demoralise the public with a sense of futility and helplessness -in this case with the absurd message that nothing can stop the SNP taking over the world when it could not even win an independence vote in the recent referendum -and which result as I  pointed out just recently those brilliant predictors of the future the pollsters got so abysmally wrong.

And how on earth can the opinion polls be predicting a hung parliament when it now emerges that almost half the electorate have not even made up their minds yet?!

The sinister name of the game is to skew the polls to the desired end of a liberal victory and make people think it is inevitable,what do they know,if the majority are voting for that particular party they must know something they themselves do not so they will vote that way too.Such dodgy polling is nothing short of  scandalous voter manipulation.

The Left. Rule of Unreason

What the left has done to civilization over the last hundred years plus cannot be undone overnight.Co opting as it has, education, philosophy,politics,culture, law, science, maths,physics psychology,art ad nauseam lol its penetration is all invasive and pervasive and the battle against it has to be joined on all those fronts.The work required therfor is on an olympian level but in order to be undertaken an anlysis of the root of the problem is essential or the battle will be lost before it has started.Random sorties into enemy territory with nothing but arbitrary concretes as targets will be worse than futile.

Identifying the enemy is therfor the main objective and it is the pure hatred of reason and therfor reality of the left - that has to be where the focus lies.

Opinion Polls: Lying tools of biased media

First they lied about the Scottish Independence referendum and predicted a very narrow finish which I knew at the time was wrong.The No vote won by sizeable 10% Now they are talking up Splurgeon and the SNP Socialist Nihilist Party and telling us they are going to end up running the country after the election.I predict a tory win and UKIP advance.Don't beleive the polls.They seem to be in symbiotic connivance with the liberal media.

Perversion of welfare!

The Liberals say the tories will cut child benefit and working tax credits -and what an Orwellian jumble of confusion is contained in that last absurdity - but it does highlight how the last labour gov deliberately spread the welfare net far and wide to encompass even working people which is a perversion of welfare's original intent namely to give succor to the unemployed.As flawed as that original plan was even the architects of the misbegotten welfare state did not intend for it to suck into dependency those in work.This was a cynical ploy to gain voters by Labour and it has distorted the wage price discovery of the employment  market as has the unemployment benefit system itself.

It is to be hoped that if the tories get back in which I predict they will getting rid of child benefit and the tax credits for working people  will be one of their early objectives.

Australia must act

The murder of 2 Australians in Indonesia by its government for drug smuggling should be treated by Australia as an act of war and retaliation should be swift and ruthless.Withdrawing some bureaucrat from an embassy is worse than doing nothing.This is state terrorism and Indonesia needs to feel the full wrath of the Australian state with a military strike.It should have given forewarning to Indonesia that if it murdered two of its citizens it would be regarded as an act of war and retaliation would follow.This it failed to do and its response is woefully inadequate and pusilaminous.

Instead of bleating on about how the smugglers were repentant,going to church and doing voluntary work to reform themselves the Australians should have said no crime was committed,it beleives in decriminalising drug consumption and selling and that it does not accept the barbaric medieval moral religious system of Indonesia and will not tolerate its imposition on its citizens.

It was reported that Australia actually sends welfare Aid to Indonesia.Lets hope that is brought to an immediate end and it starts getting tough with this subhuman country.

ideology and the left

The left ascribes virtues to the tories that they do not possess when it accuse them of being ideological.Most tories do not have an ideological bone in their body,they are pragmatists through and through who just lean to the right.The left sensing that people are distrustful of ideology seek to smear the tories in the public mind with this ideological tag when in reality if it belongs round anyones neck it is theirs with their big state agendas.

A biographer of Cameron said recently that when some of his speechwriters tried to inject abstract concepts pertaining to freedom and capitalism into his speeches he crossed them all out so distrustful is he (and I would argue as are all tories) to ideas and ideology.One need look no further as to the real cause of the tories being just neck and neck with Labour in the opinion polls at this late stage in the election campaign.

The lesson is clear.The politician with no ideolgy will always be defeated by the politician with one no matter how bad or immoral it may be.And let us not forget that an anti ideology is an ideology.Its called nihilism.

Food banks are good

Food banks are contrary to what we are told, a good development taking charity away from the State and back to the private sphere where it belongs.Instead of the state stealing money from people in taxes and very often giving it to the undeserving so called poor the work is done by churches or other charity outlets and less prone to corruption although we do see abuse of food banks by people who do not really need them.

The left hates food banks because it robs them of their political power base but it is they who have destroyed the whole concept of charity by nationalising it thus subverting it and creating social alienation as people's charitable impulses have been atrophied by state co option.It is the left that has a cynical view of human nature and effectively believes that unless a gun is pointed at the head of people they will not give and be charitable but the whole point about charity is that it has to be voluntary.To impose it by force is to destroy it.

The success of food banks should lead to the only conclusion that all welfare should be privatised and taxation abolished over time so that natural human instincts can come to the fore with the additional benefit that individuals are much better at determining who needs help and who is playing the system than the politicians who more often are motivated by shoring up their power base and being elected to office with all the emoluments and financial advantages that therby accrue.

Politicans indulge in cheap at no cost to themselves pseudo virtue by giving other people's money away and this vicarious philanthropy,charity by proxy is the worst kind of moral corruption as it invests them with God like powers,their appetite for other people's money grows with the feeding and the public is robbed blind as they direct the monies to their electoral client base,effectively attaining power thru pork barrel politics,the very essence of political corruption.

Lets hear it for food banks then as they return power back to the people and away from the corrupt political classes.

What will be the repercussions of UK EU withdrawal?

We are given dire warnings by the Euphiles that if Britain leaves the EU it will seriously harm its industry and cripple the economy but one has to take such warnings with a truck load of salt when one bears in mind the politics of those making the claim.They are hardly the defenders of business and love the EU precisely because it is Not business friendly and has imposed social charters and regulations and taxes on it to the point of strangulation.To hear such people express concern about British business should make anyone suspect their motives and treat them with the utmost skepticism.

But there is another clue as to the real motives for the EU philes making such an argument when one follows it to its conclusion where they claim that a UK outside the EU would be cut off from all the trade deals and agreements with the other EU members and it is here that they give the game away because what they are effectively conceding is that the EU is not about free trade at all but is in fact an insular inward looking protectionist bloc bound in by restrictions tarrfiffs bureaucracy laws regulations - which is why they love it so much!

Austerity,what austerity?

The tory's idea of austerity is the equivalent of Mr Cresote denying himself a wafer thin mint.The chancellor's shiftiness when asked where the future cuts are to come from is telling and it is a puzzle why he cannot see how evasive and shifty he sounds when he persistently ignores questions about it and goes off on one of his characterstic divagations interlarded with vague generalities.But then again it relects the contempt that the political class have for their dumb electorate as they know the latter do not really want to be told the truth about the country's dire economic situation -mankind cannot take much reality as TS Elliot put it.

This sort of complicity between politicians and voters reminds me of the old joke in the Soviet Union when a worker said of his State employer 'they pretend to pay us and we pretend to work'.We know how that one ended and Europe now is  not in much better shape.

In the end such dishonesty does not really pay off however as Ed Milliband is apparently ahead in the polls and is predicted to win and when a politician cannot defeat Gordon Brown or Ed Milliband it is really time for him to go and do something else which is what most people are saying Mr Cameron will do.

HSBC exit of UK prefigures braindrain

Reading the writing on the wall re regulation,taxes and the dire prospect of an overtly Marxist Labour government red in tooth and claw HSBC statement this week that it was considering leaving the UK should not be seen as an idle threat.It did mention the uncertainty of UK s relationship with the EU as being another factor but no one has any realistic figures about what the repercussions of such an British exit from the EU would be so that is not the main issue here.

He caused a bit of commotion arguing with the ridiculous Helena Kennedy last week but the main outrage which went completely unnoticed was David Starkey's incredible statement that the people accepted the Magna Carta which secured their liberty by agreeing to taxation.Think about it.They bought their liberty with chains around their necks,allowing the government to extract monies from them in perpetuity,rendering them slaves of the state.I know,it is rather hard to get your head round such a complete contradiction and this from a renowned and accomplished historian.

With his announcement of rent controls if  Labour wins it is becoming obvious that milliband is a threat to the country that should not be countenanced.If Labour  win I favour a military coup to overthrow it.He and his cabinet should be thrown in the tower of London,tried and executed.It must be remembered that democracy can lead to dictatorhip as it did in Nazi Germany where Hitler was elected thru the ballot box.Democracy is no protection of tyranny but rather a facilitator of it.

Pathology of modern politics

There is something about the run up to a general election that brings the whole rotten corrupt system of democracy into sharp relief with its faux debates on concretes,its militant avoidance of principles and articulation of ideology and underlying philosophy and the implicit agreement amongst the supposed rival parties to fake disagreement where none exists as all share the same collectivist statist premises which they connive to conceal from their hapless electorate voting fodder.

This sordid and tawdry spectacle would shame a banana republic but in what is supposed to be the heart of a supposedly free highly advanced modern state it is nothing short of a catastrophe and a moral disaster.

The Statism we're in

There is a much publicised disillusionment with modern politics in democracies generally but no one appears to have got to the core of the problem or even aprroximated the cause of this profound phenomena.An obstacle to finding the cause I believe lies in the sacred reverence in which democracy is held by its advocates and defenders.To question it is to invite opprobrium down on one's head and to be roundly excoriated . I should say  if anyone dared to attempt such a transgression for so hypnotic a thrall  has democracy cast over even the most astute of commentators no one even dare attempt such act of iconoclasm.

Unless we can break the spell that democracy has cast over people's minds, to cooly examine the  sacred cow we will continue to stumble around in the dark unable to get to the heart of the national frustration with politics.

If you want to know how liberals 'think' then BBC Radio 4  Points of View is essential listening. This week it was the turn of the comic jewish novelist Howard Jacobson and  he pedals the familiar line of other earlier guests to the programme like John Grey that all ideology is suspect and  the antithesis of art and that anyone who posits a system of thought based on a consistent philosophy of life is the equivalent of intellectual poison which will lead to the gas chambers and Gulag or at the very least bore everyone to death.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater Jacobson makes the common mistake of concluding that the answer to bad philosophy and ideology is no philosophy or ideology at all. A distrust of intellectualism is however a perfectly understandable defense mechanism except for the unfortunate fact that it is no defense whatsoever against bad ideas because in rejecting the field of ideas completely it is left wide open to the bad philosophers and ideologues to co opt it to nefarious ends unchallenged, which is why having the field to themselves they wreak so much havoc in our culture and polity today.

The unilateral intellectual disarmament that Jacobson articulates is an abject surrender to the field of ideas and can only lead to the rushing in of a monstrous regiment  of amoral knaves and collectivist hobgoblins of the mind who will willingly occupy that empty space where reason and rational philosophy has fled.The sleep of reason brings forth monsters indeed.

What part of No don't the SNP understand?

The Homeopathic mentality

The war on reason takes many forms but the growth of interest in alternative medicine and homeopathy is surely its most virulent.A person does not have to be of a mystical bent to subscribe to this phenomena but it certainly helps.If someone can accomodate the concept of an entity that has created the universe from another dimension then believing in homeopathy which has never been scientifically proven in any objective analytical tests is a walk in the park.

Accompanying an interest in alternative medicine is invariably a distrust of the pharmaceutical industy -'big pharma' as it is pejoratively called which borders on the paranoiac and feeds in to the whole conspiracy theory industry for such it now is and which narrative is, to compress: there is an unholy alliance between big business, government and the drug industry whose objective is to poison people with toxic pills and to divert them from from natural cures,such as herbals and various snake oil confections which now poliferate.

The solution to this problem in so far as it exists is to have a complete separation of medicine and State and people will be free to avail themselves of either conventional medicine or alterantive medicine and no taxes will fund either or the research thus eliminating the claim of such alarmists that the whole research field has been co opted by 'big pharma' and the regulators to boot.Conventional medicine and alternative can then fight it out in the market and no one will be forced to subsidise either one.

Reality check time

If a burglar broke into someone's house brandishing a knife or gun would the homeowner sit him down with a cup of tea and discuss the philosophical and social advantages of non coercion in human affairs? Absurd question maybe but if so how much more absurd it is to think that one can have a similar conversation with the state about its coercive criminal depradations on life and property and to suppose that going from podium to podium lecturing on freedom and capitalism is going to make a wits difference to the power elite with the full might and force of the state behind them and all the vested interests in statism they represent.

By the time a burglar is hoving into view with knoife and gun and the state is plundering and committing wholesale larceny on an industrial scale through its taxation programmes it is way too late to sit down with a nice cup of ta and debate and reason with the parties concerned which is why the objectivists have made zilch progress in reducing the power of the state despite the thousands of debates and lectures they have given to the cause and will no doubt continue to do  ad infinitum.

A better way

Imagine a world with an absence of coercion in human affairs,where no state initiates force against its civilians in the form of taxation and regulation.Such a world is possible but not being offered because a corrupt morality is keeping people enslaved namely altruism,the philosophy of sacrifice,self immolation and its roots are in religion which preaches the primitive tribalistic crude corrupt ideology of human sacrifice.

Until the human race abandons this inhuman philosophy implicity or explicity exressed in its cultural mores human beings will continue to view others and means to their ends and the results will be destruction of all human life,hope aspiration happiness and existence itself.

A new morality needs to supplant the old inhuman one of altruism and when this is done the welfare states based on coercion and state tyranny will disappear into the dustbin of history.

Can a post election capitalist party emerge in the UK?

There is a political vacuum at the heart of British politics that none of the extant parties are addressing being as they are in various degrees statist in constitution.The emergence of the Greens is the most extreme of this tendency going along a continuum with Labour,Liberal,conservatives and then Ukip at the end where it comes to a screeching halt and this is the party that has just endorsed the continuation of the socialist behemoth NHS. 

Here the vacuum begins and nature demands this abhorrence be corrected with a capitalist party that takes an uncompromising position against state coercion in the form of taxation and regulation.Now is not the time to fathom the mystery of why this vacuum exists other than to posit that statism has sucked the energy and creative possibility of any alternative amongst the intellectual academics and left the field barren and open for anyone who so chooses to occupy it with new radical revolutionary ideas of freedom liberty and individual rights in a delimited state.

As it is not April 1st one has to assume that the ridiculous and obscenely fat Pickles was not having a joke and that it is actually a serious proposal in which case he has clearly taken leave of his senses.Even the liberal BBC s Justin Webb sounded incredulous as he quizzed a very defensive and uncomfortable sounding Pickles over this statist imposition.The fat one wriggled, answered defensively, shiftily evasively and resorted to abuse of the interviewee but the one who clearly came across as a prize plonker was Pickles himself for surely the most absurd proposal the conservatives have ever put forward.

It can surely only be confused thinking and a desire to be seen as a good person in the eyes of the public when of course it is an abject unforgiveable betrayal of all the principles Ballantyne applied to be the success he is :independence of mind,rugged determinism,entrepreneurialism, non-dependence on state assistance.

This sorry episode is a salutary reminder that when it comes to defending liberty and the limited state there will be no assitance from the very people who depend on it most,the businessmen and entrepreneurs who are totally schizophrenic in these matters,applying as they do logic and reason in their business life and throwing them away in their politic affiliations in an unfocused orgy of altruistic sentiment.

The news that red ed Militant wants to remove domicile status from foreigners living here is of course no surprise and is par for the labour cause which is out and out theft of private income and property.The fact that Blair has come out in support of Milliband is again no surprise as he is another EU zealot with totalitarian impulses and they both share an unwillingness to let the British people decide the matter in a referendum.

Ukip Bringing it all back home

It is a bit rich,ironic and highly insulting for the Conservatives  to be urging their one time supporters who  have defected to Ukip to come home again like some repentant prodigal errant when it is they themselves the tories who have wandered too far from home and abandoned their values and went whoring after the EU and did everything in their power to fob the British people off when it came to confronting that evil organization.

They have been dragged kicking and screaming due to the rise of Ukip into offering a referendum which they think they can fix to a yes vote with some cosmetic EU reforms.Mixing delusion with arrogance they will find in May that their former voters are not to be bought by empty hollow promises and that they will stick to Ukip and kick the tories into the dustbin of history.

The Statism we are in

It is quite bizarre to hear the Greens being presented as something radical and new when it is just the rump of the old British communist party reconfigured and the SNP which the BBC is bigging up night and day are cut from the same cloth and are offering up statism on steroids for the witless Scots and any idiots south of the border who seek collectivism with the Splurgeon pint pot Nolan sister.

But the good news is that the SNP may wipe out Labour in Scotland which has been their petty fiefdom for too long and little sympathy for them when it was they who let the Scottish independence genie out the bottle with the setting up of the Scottish assembly  and they are paying the price for that folly.

Where does that leave the small minority of us who say to all parties a plague on your statist house and wish for the minimalist state? Because he talks in byzantine sentences and is master of the prolix one has to be able to deconstruct (to use one of his poncey words) the drivel that comes out of Will Self's mouth but in the service of humanity I step forward to perform that onerous task.Just recently he was opining that our politicians are not being honest with us as they are limited in what they can do because of the global market.Translated what this means is it would be nice if our government could control the rest of the world and impose its mad statist collectivist welfare policies globally but because it cannot we will all just have to make do with liberty instead,its regrettable but there we are.

Religion and its Malcontents

The late great Christopher Hitchens once said that religion makes good people do bad things but I am wondering if he got that one right.Many jihadists started off their path in life as small time hoodlums and members of gangs,sexual abusers,drug takers involved in violent crime.So I am begining to think that religion allows bad people to do bad things.

These people are already psychopaths and converting to Islam merely allows them to act out their psychodramas on the world stage rather than in their local hood.What better justification and rational could any such delinquent thug have than that their criminal barbaric subhuman acts are directed  and sanctioned by God?

I have been critical of guru Roy Masters but on this one I think he was right on the money when he said that most people join religions not to deal with their anger and hate but to validate it.They actually join the religion to give their rage intellectual validation,to in effect sanctify their anger.For evidence I give you Islam in its current incarnation where anger seems to be the leitmotif alone.

In forever frothing at the mouth Islamists are only taking their cue from the prophet  - piss be upon him - who was let it be remembered an epileptic.Go figure.

The Banality of evil

The suicide is always an interesting study in pathology.Many suicides have the desire to take someone with them.This was done on a large scale in the French Alps last week.But whether it is motivated by pique,being jilted or because the suicide/homicide heard God telling him to so do the act of murder is the evil and not the motivation/excuse behind it.

All those innocents taken last week would be just as dead  whether the homicide was jilted or a jihadist,there are no degrees of evil here.Murder is the evil,not the motivation,rationale and excuse behind it.

In the case of the co pilot it is pure narcissism and self esteem deficit rather than as someone illogically claimed, an act of selfishness.This was self destruction married with homicidal intent -the very antithesis of selfishness which is about the preservation of the self  and not its anhiliation.

The publication of Prince Charle's letters to politicians will shine a spotlight on the slobbering dauphin's meddling involvement in politics and the violation of the rule of strict political neutrality of the monarchy it represents, thus proving the total unsuitability of Charles to be king.It will furthermore reveal the mental instability of the man and the bizarre causes that animate him.

Bravo to the Guardian for doggedly pursuing this matter to the furthest legal extent which will hopefully lead to a reexamination of the British monarchy itself and start a long overdue debate on its abolition.

Would you buy a second hand religion from this man?

If  Iwas touting some business scheme that postulated that there are hidden treasures in the ether that only have to be mined to bring great wealth and that if everybody just sends me a cheque I will share with them the access to this undreamt of wealth I would probably end up prosecuted and in jail.

But how is this any different from what all the religious organizations are doing other than the sheer scale of their operations that go into the billions.They tell their followers that they have a direct line to the creator of the cosmos and if  everyone sends them a cheque they will intercede for them and bring them great peace and prosperity.

They also use fear and warn their listeners that if they do not heed their word they could end up in  a very dark place for all eternity.Is there anything more wicked and evil than this I ask you gentle readers.

This is certainly what the guru Roy Masters has been doing for half a century and it has brought him wealth indeed.He once decried the way Plain Truth religious group suckers people into funding them but whenever I listened to Masters he was forever begging for money on air and playing on people's unearned guilt for more cash.

It is rather difficult to  bring christianity into disrepute but this guy achieves it single handedly.

The Employer strikes back

We all know of unions for employees and all their rights but where is the union of employers? No, I do not mean the socialist CBI or chamber of commerce and other pathetic toothless paper tigers but a real union for employers and the first piece of business for such would be to call a General Strike! Not as in  tools down but a Tax Strike.And assert the right to run your business how you see fit,to hire and fire ditto,to pay your workers what the market will stand not what some jobsworth government bureaucrat with socialist agendas thinks is a fair price in mythical egalitarian la la land.

For centuries the mediocre have asserted the right to strike and withdraw their labour and now its time for the movers and shakers to do likewise.Lets see who needs who the most.It will not take long to determine.The sleeping giant of business needs to awake and assert the right to its life for all our sakes.

Ukip latest,So what?

Fiddling EU expenses is no big deal and is on a moral par with fiddling mafia expenses as the whole EU is one big criminal racket.So no Atkinson should not have been sacked for seeking in her words to repatriate some UK money.

My second piece of advice to Ukip following on from a previous post would be to forget trying to seal UK borders and having immigrant quotas to protect British jobs and approach it from the other end and take welfare away from the indigenous people so they would have to go out in the fields and work and do the immigrant jobs they grandly dismiss as being beneath them.

Immigrants are not stealing jobs from British workers,they are doing the jobs the latter will not do.In the absence of free money of welfare British people would have the option of working or starving.Problem solved. This would be a huge vote winner for Ukip and I urge them to adopt it forthwith.

What Ukip should be saying but isn't

Ukip does come in for a lot of negative media scrutiny which is an indication of its success in rattling the establishment but also undoubtedly a lot of the controversy around its candidates is due to the fact that as an anti establishment party it does by its very nature tend to attract individualistic mavericks who tend not to be on message in the controlled and cynical way the main parties are.So far so good but there are some important aspects surrounding the emergence of this political phenomena where I think in its policies Ukip is in serious need of radical rethinking.

Some of Ukip analysis is just plain wrong, take for example immigration.It claims there have to be caps because otherwise the public services will come under intolerable and unsustainable strain.Note it does not say with the large influx of immigration the shops,cafes,restaurants will not be able to cope with the additional customers.It is only in the public service that the problem will arise such as schools and hospitals.The logical step would be to remove the latter from the state ministration and allow them to operate in the market where innovation and money would flow and there would be more than enough schools and hospitals offering their services for all who wished to use them.

Rationing only exists in the public sector.If shops and restaurants were run by the state we would not have enough of them to service the immigrants and they would be complaining  about how their resources were being drained by immigrants.

So instead of saying we will free the public sector from its privations by turning it over to the free market Ukip seeks to solve the statist caused problem of finite public resources by another statist measure of closing the country's borders!

There are indications that within the Ukip ethos there is a fairly strong libertarian strain and maybe overtime this will become more dominant and the unfortunate more statist element as illustrated above will diminish.

Rand's alleged hypocrisy

It is claimed that Ayn Rand was a hypocrite because she allegedly used her hubbie's medicare when she was diagnosed with cancer whilst of course being all her life a passionately avowed anti welfarist.This is quite incredible.First she had her wealth stolen from her in taxes to pay for an unsolicited healthcare system and when with depleted reserves due to said depradation she could not consequently avail herself of quality private healthcare in the  market and  was forced to use  the inferior state care she was condemned for it!

This is like saying to a person you are a hypocrite because you claim to be passionately opposed to highway robbery but when that hoodlum pointed a gun at your head and demanded all your money you gave it to him!

Are her critics really saying that she should have not used the healthcare system she was forced at the point of a gun to finance?Like I say,incredible..

Your victory has illustrated something that we in the UK should pay closer attention to namely how innacurate opinion polls are and more seriously how they are being manipulated for political purposes.We saw that in the recent Scottish referendum and I fear we will have the same manipulation and propaganda if there is an EU referenda.

Another UK Brain Drain on the way?

The most successful achievement of the coalition is to convince people that it has engaged in a programme of austerity when it has done nothing of the sort.It has consequently suffered all the vituperation and anathemisation for a  policy that it wasn't even following whilst reaping no financial dividends whatsoever. But the greatest condemnation of the Conservatives in the person of George Osborne is his suicidal course  of victimising and persecuting the wealth producers with his tax policies.

If this does not result in a massive haemorrhaging of business activity and an exodus of businesses to more economically favourable climates this will be a reversal of all known historic economic business principles namely that business flees from statist countries that have oppressive burdensome taxation regimes.It is a classic case of a relatively succesfull country commiting ritualised self slaughter on the altar of an unnamed creed namely that of collectivism and altruism.

Minimum Wage: Most evil of all Government legislation?

The contender for the worst piece of government legislation in recent times has to be the introduction of the minimum wage.If Ukip care as they profess to do about the plight of the unemployed indegenous population they would pledge to scrap this wicked evil legislation forthright.This pernicious law has deprived millions of young people and others of ever getting a foot on the employment ladder and condemned them to a wasted life of idleness and moral depradation.

The next time you hear the left or anyone else crying crocodile tears over the unemployed or indeed of people languishing on unpaid internships and zero hours contracts bear in mind that none of these things existed or were even a twinkle in the eyes of any employers until the introduction of the oppressive job destroying minimum wage.Unable to hire people on below minimum wage they were forced to hire them for nothing! Or on time limited contracts to preserve their profits through flexibility which via a market level wage rather than an artificially legislated one of the minimum wage they would have been more able to do.

And spare a thought as well all you bleeding heart liberals who are prepared to sacrifice the welfare and lives of millions of young people on the altar of your collectivist creed that existing employees are suffering directly from the minimum wage  as well.Staff shortages: I hear from young people working in a very well known retail store that they are effectively being forced to do the work of 3 people as less people are being hired because of the above market priced minimum wage.

And lastly but perhaps most importantly there is the issue of individual rights and how the minimum wage wipes them out with one legislative pen stroke.If a young ambitious person wants to work for 4 50 and hour as opposed to nothing via internship   why the hell should some bureaucratic political nonentiy living parasitically off the taxpayers deprive them of their right to so negotiate with any prospective employer  to their mutual advantage?What successful millionaire entrepreneur did not start off at the bottom working on low wages and then rising through the ranks on their excellence and talent?

The minimum wage stands like a dark menacing oppressive Berlin Wall blighting the aspiration of millions and locking them in to a  despairing life of misery and hoplessness and represents the ultimate indictment of statism and its cruel and anti life collectivist premise.

Ukip loses its way

People should vote Ukip by all means to get us out of the EU but their other policies are disappointingly wrong headed.Protectionism for starters.Wanting to control immigration to keep out unskilled labourers who compress wages and undercut the indigenous population is statism at its worst,a socialist policy that is not worthy of Ukip.

A points based quota system like Australia to attract specialised skilled workers may seem appealing but it is based on the notion of the national good, ie what the country needs in terms of scientists,doctors etc - a statist premise which is the very essence of collectivism rather than the correct position that the state  should exist to protect individual rights, one of which being the right of employers to hire those people who are best and most suitable for the position from whatever country they choose.

Then there is its support for the NHS.Nothing needs to be said about that other than this is a base populist appeal to what UKIP mistakenly believes the public want -a clapped out health system  predicated on the discredited theory and practice of socialism.

When I listen to the budget address it reminds me of the mafia handing out turkeys at Thanksgiving. Yes,its a giveaway but its your money they are giving away.The democracy scam is so blatant only the wilfully blind cannot see it as such.Or its a racket on so large a scale no one can see it.I wonder whether the public at large will wake up to this con trick or will it just go on forever.There are it seems no limits to human credulity.

There are countless examples to illustrate that Western governments are not serious in fighting Islamist terrorisim and the latest is the British authorities release on bail  of the three youths caught heading off from the UK to fight with Isil after the Turkish authorities intercepted them at the airport and sent them back.

Nothing more needs to be said really except the next time we hear the government explaining why it needs to have blanket surveillance of all British citizens hopefully people will remember this incident and treat their comments with the contempt they so justly deserve.

The hysterical reaction by the left is of course predictable but the libertarian argument that Farage promotes is more sound and just than their collectivist policies which are illiberal and violate property rights at their core.

But Farage ruined his perfectly coherent stand by then saying employers should hire British only workers rather than foreign workers when he should have said employers should hire the best workers regardless of race or ethnicity,thus leaving him vulnerable to the charge he is chauvinistic and nationalistic.

The recent revelations about the sheer scale in volume and time  of the phone hacking by the Mirror makes a mockery of the whole anti Murdoch crusade engaged in by large swathes of the media and the persecution of the man as it now emerges that the Mirror was doing something of comparable venality.

Fallacy explosion

One of the most misleading nay mendacious expressions of the left is 'giving something back' as in reference to some businessman who does charity work which by such inverted logic amounts to expiation of sins - the sin  of course that of being a successful businessman.The implication of the expression is that something was taken by the businessman and he now has to give something back.But what has been taken?

A successful business employs many people who would otherwise not be employed in that position,it provides a service that people want and for that the business enjoys a profit -a win - win situation.No one has lost,nothing was taken and no consequent reparation is required to anyone.Only the acceptance of unearned guilt would prompt any businessman to assert that he was doing charity work to give something back,like some common criminal compensating his  victims via community service.

It would be good to hear this toxic canard and pernicious peice of leftist sophistry challenged once in a while but the only people around to do that are the Conservatives and they of course alas  share the same altruist premises as the left and remain shamefully guiltily and therfor collusively silent on the matter.

A Labour candidate out canvassing for the election told a reporter that an argument he used at the door was that Ed Milliband was prepared to stand up to Murdoch.The pathetic smallness and vacuity of such a boast is patent and craven as it completely conflates political with economic power.

A newspaper tycoon has only persuasion as a tool to increase readership but politicians have the full power of the state behind them to enforce their arbitrary dictat up to and including stealing from its subjects in taxes and sending them to jail.In such a context what on earth does 'standing up to Rupert Murdoch amount to? A lion standing up to a mouse is about the size of it.

Obama is clearly helping Iran with its nuclear programme and should be impeached for collusion and treachery.Like democrat Carter before him who facilitated North Korea's nuclear prog it is clear Obama is working for the enemy.The republicans are right to send the letter warning Iran that Obama's promises will be torn up if they assume power after the election.This is a socialist muslim change agent and America and the world is in dire peril whilst he remains in office.Israel should take the necessary action very soon if this Iranian threat to world peace is not neutralised.

Cannibals should be able to elect the candidate that represents their best interest and he or she should offer the best services  and infrastructure required for a healthy productive cannibal life.The Conservative candidate will advocate eating fewer people per week and the liberal candidate will be more generous with flesh provision as befitting the liberal ideology but all opinions will be represented in the democratic process and the ballot box will ensure that cannibalist principles are accessible to all in the democratic tradition assuring  equal  race age and gender - neutral opportunities in  the excercise and disemination of  cannibalist values.

Protest too much

The plan to have protest groups who stage events in public places pay for the policing costs and having private companies to do the policing is long overdue.Why should such groups block the public highways to begin with as they are violating the rights of all those who wish to go about their business and are being prevented from doing so by inavariably left wing groups who are vile,smelly,anti freedom, obnoxious arrogant,deluded evil commie scumbags.

If they wish to protest and until all public property is privatised as it should be let the disruptive,protesting detritus foot the bill for their obstructive protesting and not the hapless taxpayers who pay twice so the leftist lowlife can parade their silly views and block the highways preventing business and trade in the process.

Then again the state is engaged in burglary itself with its massive tax and grab redistribution programmes which rob the citizens of their wealth to fund welfare programmes for their electorate hence its lenient attitude towards the small time crooks.It then gives some of its stolen money to other countries re foreign aid so we are dealing with a kleptocratic state with no more legitimacy than the mafia.

We know Greenenomics doesn't add up and the leader's embarrassment at not knowing her numbers on the LBC interview - and she has past form on this sort of thing - is symptomatic of a much deeper problem with the party and movement namely its tenuous grasp of economic reality to say nothing of its far left malevolent anti freedom,anti capitalist bias.This is the most anti freedom party since the days of the British communist party and any exposure of its unsound fragile grip on reality is all to the good as this is a highly toxic ideologically nihilistic movement at its rotten core.

The vile Scottish slimeball Malcolm  Rifkind has finally got his just desserts and had his corrupt ass kicked out of politics and quite why he has enjoyed such a long career is a mystery wrapped in an enigma all of its own.

The welfare entitlement mentality of him and his kind is the very reason people have had it with politics which is no bad thing as the rot set in a long time ago and people may now be more receptive to the idea of smaller limited gov where such creeps and criminals are cut right down to size and their scope of corruption is severely curtailed.One can but hope.

Caught in a media sting Jack Straw is seen whoring his dubious services to a Chinese company for £5000 a day and has been suspended from his party, lifting the lid yet again on the stinking corruption when politics and business end up in bed with one another.One has to struggle to get one's head around the cynicism of politicians concocting byzantine laws and regulations tying businesses up in knots and then proffering their services to said businesses to negotiate and circumvent those very  bureaucratic Kafkaesque rules.

In Straw's case it was related to the EU that very embodiment of the Kafkaesque and illustrates if that were needed that the EU is the very antithesis of freetrade and requires the likes of Straw to negotiate the tortured rules it has constructed to retard trade and entrench protectionism. For a very large fee Jack will help you circumvent bureaucracy.

These are the political class who are going to clean up the tax avoidance evasion business class.Surely the word chutzpah was invented for Straw and his corrupt political class.Why does the public continue to trust such people one wonders.

Jihadi Janes

The three so called British girls who have gone to Syria via Turkey are being presented very sympathetically by the media and the families are lamenting  publicly and choreagraphically it must be said over their trauma but I cannot help thinking the best thing that can happen is that they come to grief and certainly are not allowed back into the country.

Treachery of that sort is beyond forgiveness.Good riddance to very bad rubbish.This is how they repay the host country that has bent over backward to accommodate them.Piss be upon them.We are told they are very intelligent so at least the usual excuse that they know not what they do cannot be deployed.The hell with them.

Shades of hypocrisy

From the little I have heard about the phenomenon Shades of Grey with its depictions of stalking torture and rape its apparent popularity among women readers is puzzling to say the least.That it has now been turned into a film and advertisments for which  plastered over school buses as I witnessed in town the other day is depressing also.

Are we to read from this that many women have an ambivalent attitude about violence towards them and how  this speak to the victories of feminism god only knows.Perhpas many women covertly share the view of some men that there is rape and rape and that a woman raped in an alley by a stranger is not the same as a woman who has sexual intercourse against her will after going up to a man's appartment in a consensual arrangement.If this is what they believe perhaps they should say so as it appears to be the inference from the mass popularity amongst women of this fictional work.

Oborne Legacy

Peter Oborne's departure or self regarding flounce from the Telegraph on the  grounds of the latter's  non coverage of the left wing media contrived HSBC story is neither regrettable or surprising as this rabid left wing tory has always expressed an unconcelaed hatred of capitalism and perhaps can now enjoy a position at the Guardian or Independent where I predict he will end up and where he undoubtedly belongs.

The paper in its editorial takes a well justified swipe at the BBC and other hypocritical news outlets with their tendentious anti capitalist propaganda which in the case of the BBC of course is funded out of a State imposition of tax re the TV licence fee which people have to pay on pain of imprisonment.

Steve Hewlet the BBC's resident leftie media reporter did a critical piece on the Telegraph on radio 4 Today prog which was characteristically biased and abusive toward the Telegraph and as we are all forced to pay the lefty lickspittle's wages it is surely the licence payers who should feel justifiably aggrieved at this intolerable and morally untenable imposition.

The intellectual degeneracy of the left finds its full noisome expression in the reptilian Will Self explaining why he could not contribute to the debate after the Charlie Hebdo slaughter and the intellectual ratiocinations proffered by him as to why   would make the most accomplished sophist appear crude by comnparison.Satire  Self argued is supposed to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable and as the mohamud cartons offended all muslims it was therefor not satire and so not worthy of defence.

Moral cowardice rationalised as a principled postion indeed.

Beware! Slippery sophists at work

In an oldish youtube of Peter Hitchens and brother Christopher the former makes a very slippery argument which is not uncharacteristic of him to the effect that liberty if perverted into licence will produce a backlash of authoritaianism and he states it in his matter of factness tone of voice as if it were an indisputable fact rather than a very dangerous fallacy and I shall hopefully explain why it is just such.

For a start he does not define terms.Just what does licence mean,it is a purposely undefined loaded term which may well mean any action of which Peter the stern moralist personally disapproves.Who know what he intends,we can surmise it would encompass such things as pornography and drug consumption and as a matter of fact I now recall he does refer to the former in the American context of the founding fathers who when framing their document on liberty ie the Constitution were so moral they could never have dreamed that an avalanche of porn would descend on the continent a few centuries after the document had been finished.

So liberty means comporting yourself in an upright moral way and if you deviate from the path of righteousness,well liberty is not for you and it will be  taken away from you.In the guise of forestalling authoritarianism Peter Hitchens end up advocating it.A very strange way of coming at liberty indedeed.

You didn't build that, take two

To truly understand the pathology of left wing thought people could do worse than spend a day listening to radio 4 s political output but it does require a strong stomach.This from a caller to a phone in prog after the Any Questions ,to paraphrase: employers are basically criminals who not only evade and avoid tax but hire people on low wages and then keep all the profits and moreover they do not actually do any real physical work but just manipulate systems and they are ergo little more than criminals and should be treated as such.

This was pretty much the vein of the whole section on the recent tax avoidance evasion furore from the people who called in.To the gulags with them,send them off to the fields.North Korea and Cambodia invocations.Not one whimper of objection to this moral intellectual outrage and obscenity from the vacuous female presenter was forthcoming.

We should at least be grateful to be given such a terrifying  but instructive  and vital ventilation of the left wing view of the world.

Living in a Political World

Everything is political and that is a pretty good definition of the totalitarian.Yet the clamour never ceases for more politics,more political solutions,the refrain the government should do this or that is never far from any conversation and this should be a cause of grave concern and alarm yet it is not.The personal is the political was always an ominous statement and now we begin to see its ghastly and sinister implications.

The politicisation of every thought word and deed is a poison that will corrode our liberty and we really need to examine how we have strayed so far from the concept of individual liberty and freedom and how creeping statism has now insinuated its way into every nook and cranny of  human existence and actually changed our use of language,the way we think and our culture.The abolition of the personal and the part that religion and philosphy has played in this process is something of utmost urgency to examine and there is not that much time left to do it.

The Psychopathology of Faith

Watching Roy Masters for my sins I came across a comment he made about Steve Jobs Apple creator of the I Pad. The reason he died according to Masters is because re his invention he did not give acknowledgement of the achievement to God.He worked too hard he added.Is this the essence of religious faith I wondered.Apart from the sheer malice and contempt towards Jobs,the insult is instructive in illustrating the mindset of believers.

One wonders what achievements of the human race along the slow halting and tortuous path to civilization were ever arrived at through meditation ie sitting in a straight backed chair and being aware of the moment.The religious scientists who did achieve anything of note did so by keeping faith well out of their labours and only giving a craven and perfunctory namecheck to God at the end  a la Masters.

Religion stood at the gates of science and barred all from entering on pain of torture and death,it  gave us the barbarity of the dark ages and the enlightenment and the dawn of civilization only came with the defeat of the religious establishment and the unseating of its votaries by the sheer force of reason and its application in science.The technology that Masters cynically avails himself of whilst disrespectfully abusing   only came about through the defeat of the kind of medieval religiosity he lauds.

Russia the new Fascist frontier

There are not many countries that go from communism to fascism without  missing a beat but Russia has achieved this illustrating perhaps the fundamental commonalites between the two collectivst ideologies.The common characteristic of kleptocracy are key.As Russia slides inexorably towards full blown fascist dictatorship its borders seek to expand exponentially as it demands more territory to feed its voracious appetite for human and natural resources and to deflect attention away from its totalitarian internal policies by creating a common enemy of the other which is the eternal appeal of nationalism.

There are as ever always useful idiots among the perpetually aggrieved pseudo  intellectual classes who will lend their voice to the totalitarian beast in this case Putin's Russia and will protstitute what little intelligence they have to the service of the propaganda lie machine and these can be seen whoring their dubious talents on State run Soviet RT broadcast throughout Western Europe spewing out a steady stream of anti Western anti American propaganda and notable amongst these are the  noisome oleaginous soviet lickspittle George Galloway and Max Keiser,and Stacy Herbert and a whole host of pro Putin votaries towing the party line for financial emolument.

Russia's incurson into the Ukraine and its brazen annexation of Crimea are Hitleresque in scope and kind but do not warrant NATO involvement,the latter organization well past its sell by date but moral opprobrium heaped on Putin and ostracism will be a far more effective tool against this maladroit 20th century gargoyle.

The sophist argument for taxation

The pro tax statists argue that those who avoid paying taxes are criminal because they have used the health,education transport and other state services and not paid for them.They go on to say that the people they employ in their businesses have benefited from the education service etc and so indirectly, have their tax avoiding employers. This neatly avoids the fact that in all those interactions one thing is entirely absent namely individual volition.In all these instances there was no voluntary engagement in those services,they are entirely state coerced,with individual choice totally absent from the equation.

It is the height of absurdity  immorality and disengenuousness to say that one owes any duty to participate in one's own servitude by paying tax and that one should be grateful to receive services one had no choice in selecting and was forced to pay for under duress by the state.To demand that a person so deprived of their liberty owes a duty to comply with this arrangement is to demand a sanction of the victim which no self respecting person could possibly give.

Politicans/glass houses/stones

Politicians trade on the public's short memory.This comes in useful with the tax avoidance evasion furore as they can present themselves as the people who are going to solve the problem and crack down on the guilty when it was only a few years ago the whole political class was in the dock for fiddling their expenses and the system was exposed as rotten to the core.Now it has been ostensibly reformed and their opportunity for malfeasance has been curbed they now want to present themselves as on the side of financial probity,going after the avoiders and evaders.If there was a Nobel prize for chutzpah they would all be sure fire contenders.

Tax avoidance and evasion is Moral

The sheer scale of tax avoidance and evasion in the UK is proof positive that the tax levels are  prohibitive and punitive and gives the lie to the gov propaganda that they are competitive and reasonable.The thriving black economy further illustrates this with people who have little disposable income having to resort to avoidance and evasive methods to circumvent the greed and insatiable appetite and invasive depradations of the British tax system.

The tax zealots who see taxation as a  weapon to punish the productive and industrious seek to position themselves on the moral highground but it is the twisted perverted moral inverted universe occupied by all mafia outfits and criminal gangs who seek to justify their parasitic predatory operations with a pseudo moralistic front.

There is nothing moral whatsoever in the State stealing and plundering from the producers via taxation to redistribute to the non producers in order to grub for votes from the non working welfare classes to gain political power.This is corruption and extortion on an industrial scale by a ruling kleptocratic class all done through the poisoned channels of the democratic process and the ballot box illustrating once again the essential amoral depravity at the rotten heart of democracy.

At both ends of the income scale there is a covert revolt against the political taxing  elites and they should join together in commonality and begin an organised revolt against the parasitic predatory political ruling class of thieves and bandits all seemingly united and driven by a pathological ideological hatred of trade,commerce,industry success and capitalism.

Nicola Splurgeon's Greekenomics

As the SNP has pledged to go on an  anti austerity spending orgy with the full expectation that it will be English taxpayers bailing Scotland out when it goes  the way of Greece it is surely incumbent on the British government to let the Scots know now that there will be no such bailout before it hurtles down its self destructive socialist path.

The liberal media deliberately talked up the prospect a yes vote during the Scottish referndum which forced the hands of a panicking coalition to offer the Scots incentives to vote no and which has left the English taxpayers with  the financial burdens of a defacto independent Scotland which has been granted  all the advantages of gov but none of the liabilities.

This will only cause resentment in England and hasten the inevitable day of its dissolution as a nation state.

Atheism next to godliness

 It is interesting to note how many atheists are liberal socialist in their politics including the late Christopher Hitchens.They may believe they have shaken off their religious heritage but in their very political positions ie socialism the root of which is altruism they are simply manifesting it in another form. As the heart of Christian faith is of course altruism, in advocating socialism they have in effect merely substituted the power of the state for the power of god.

Hitchens  argued that human goodness and a sense of right and wrong are innate - hence his rather astonishing claim  that a young child knows the difference between right and wrong without being taught, rather than being born tabula rasa and that it is perfectly possible to have a moral philosophy without any ties to religious thought and to suggest otherwise was an insult to all decent non believers.Whilst the latter is undoubtedly true the idea of innate goodness is of religious origin.

It was no accident  that the early socialists called their brave new world of socialist planing the New Jerusalem acknowledging thereby the religious foundations of altruist thought.

God of taxation

The vile and noxious Giles Frasier C of E bigmouth is a good argument for disestablishment and on Today prog he was vomiting his usual totalitarian Marxism about taxation but with a Christian twist.The money we earn does not really belong to us but to God and taxation is simply an acknowledgement of this 'fact' and ergo politicians are merely carrying out God's work by taxing us.

 No one could have drawn a more graphic illustration of the straight line between faith in an other dimensional deity and secular collectivist  thought.The choice for man is therfor simple: bow the knee to a totalitarian God or its secular equivalent, the State.

As shocking and as obscene as Frasier's views undoubtedly are it is good to have them laid out so bare, in plain sight so one can see what one is dealing with. All the better to counter them with reason and show therby how such views are in existential conflict with individual rights and liberty ie the very requirements for human existence , survival, material prosperity and success.

The pitiful response from the Conservative Right to all this is to say yes, this celestial dictator does indeed own the human race but like a loving father he wants his children to be responsible and not dependent layabouts so he subjects them to tough love and discourages welfare  dependency.This is to face both ways and represents an existential contradiction:   man is born a slave and commanded to be free.

The only correct and consistent position to adopt is to say that man must be free from all coercion whether it come from another dimension in the form of a mystical entity or some earthly dictatorship of the state. No one appears to be doing this which represents a philosophical vaccum at the heart of political discourse.

Tax and the mafia state

Tax avoidance is a normal human response to physical force.Since when did it become illegal.Just as an individual would cross over the road to avoid a mugger the natural reaction to a predatory state is to take action to circumvent it. Everyone who can  does it hence the maligned black economy.If governments crack down on this perfectly rational behaviour there will just be another flight of business out of the country,the much famed braindrain of old.Instead of jumping on the anti business Labour bandwagon the gov should defend businesses from protecting their profits and pledge not to wage a vendetta against them.

The vile socialist witch bitch Margaret Hodge of the Public Affairs Comintern star chamber tried  on the radio 4 Today pro to equate tax avoidance with benefit fraud  seemingly unable to distinguish between an attempt by business to keep hold of its earnings and a welfare troglodyte gaming the system. Apparently the businesses in question  in her twisted universe are somehow, depriving the taxpayers although even in her crazy pretellogic this is surely  a cognitive contortion too far.

Chalked mesages on the pavement outside a local library included such gems as 'books not war' and 'keep books free' and other such doggerel serving to illustrate  one of the salient features of the left namely its sloganeering that succeeds in bipassing the conscious   part of the brain which is a key part of its attraction for those who prefer to emote than reason.

Such an approach leaves the door wide open for demagoguery and downright lying of course -' keep books free' being a case in point.Someone is paying for them,they are not free.This is not just sloppy language but intentional deception.The essential infantilism of the left is exposed as like children they demand things imperiously and will brook no dissent.Ends are divorced from means and instant gratification is demanded accompanied by histrionics and threats if the demands are not met.A self righteous tone of course goes with the territory.

The eternal appeal of the demagogue is to make the unreasonable sound reasonable.Leftism, will never go away, alas.

Labour and the politics of hate

Under Labour will business people have to wear some insignia on their clothing to identity themselves as its anti business campaign morphs into  the new anti semitism? There is for sure something of an ugly persecution of business in Labour's recent pronouncements that are ominous enough.

Tax havens are excoriated and Milliband is going to be on their case.A proper response from the latter should be stop persecuting your business people who are the backbone of any nation,stop plundering them of their resources in taxation and they will not have to take their money out of your country to protect it from your parasitic and predatory policies designed  to reward your political base with welfare and handouts.

A meek response is the more likely one but we should not forget that first they came for the businessmen......

Liberal Larceny

It is easy to forget that it was the liberal party at the turn of the 20th century that ushered in the collectivist state we know today,prefiguring the welfare state and its punitive tax base and redistributive follies.The father of the welfare state was Lloyd George and the Gladstone reform acts were the pathway along the tortuous road to welfare serfdom.

So it was no surprise given its ideological provenance that Clegg announced yesterday part of the Liberal manifesto for gov involving taxation of the wealthy as this is par for the course for liberals who think human beings exist soley to service the rapacious state in its egalitarian socialist ends of larceny and wealth redistribution.This despite the liberal's ceaseless efforts to position themselves to the right of Labour, as the moderate point between the latter and the tories.

They love to play good cop to the tories bad cop but it is all window dressing as the Liberals are the most illiberal when it comes to seeing human beings as the material means to socialist ends of big government.

Is this all there is?

It is often said by those of faith that man cannot live by bread alone and needs a spiritual side to his nature and not just an arrid materialism.This is to misrepresent those who live by reason as the spiritual and transcendent for them can be expressed in art,music,literature,relationships etc.One can marvel and appreciate nature in all its manifestations without thinking it is the creation of a mystical entity from another dimension.

For those governed by reason the spiritual is the mind and all that can be achieved by it and its unlimited potential and capacity.There is a certain malevolence and belittling of human achievement in the religious whine of 'is this all there is' as if all the vast possibilites of the human conciousness were somehow of naught and to be derided as the pathetic attempts of human beings to be the architects of their own destiny,to be beings of a self made soul which is manifestly what we are.

Mythologising Left

How many times do we hear the phrase global capitalism trip glibly from the lips of the left as if it were an actual fact rather than a created myth.It seems incapable of honest debate and has to conjur up fictions and pedal misrepresentations to gain support from an already credulous public.

It is no accident that the economic crash of 07/8 occurred in the most heavily state regulated markets namely banking and housing.It was gov that strong armed the banks into lending to those who had no visible means of paying back the money and even had an agency in Fannie May expressly designed to that end.When everything fell apart the state then declared there to be a failure of capitalism and unleashed another avalanche of regulation!

Global capitalism, another paper tiger of the left that is ripe for the shredder. For such a defintion to be accurate there would have to be a total absence of taxation and regulation rather than the mixed economy confection we see globally.

And let us not forget that the cause of the housing shortage in the UK and many other countries is again down to state interference as the planning laws are so onerous,the bureaucratic paper trail so tortuous that an artificial shortage has been created, compounded by green belt preservation restrictions and the state monopoly of land which it has no business owning.If such restrictions were lifted and a truly free market of land and property unleashed there would be an abudance of housing for all who required it rather than the present state induced scarcity.

Labour macht frei

To Labour business is organized crime and no amount of anathema poured over it is ever enough.A flight of capital and business out of the UK seems inevitable with the very real threat of a Labour victory at the polls in May.With a Marxist leader way to the left of Michael Foot who seems like a social democrat in comparison business has every right to feel threatened by a Labour government.

With no understanding of business the only achievement of a Miliband gov is another brain drain as was witnessed in the 1950's and the only business that will remain will end up in a Gulag of tax and regulation, nationalised by stealth to pay for the Greek like expansion of the state and the public sector all organised and controlled of course by Labour's paymeisters the unions.Back to the future as the old labour dog returns to its gromit.

Reflections on democracy...

A whole programme devoted to democracy on radio 4 recently manage to spend its entirety discussing process without questioning democracy itself.What does it matter if 33% get to vote your liberty away or 99%,when the end is identical -a denial of liberty? If one man's liberty is taken from him liberty is denied.The democracy pardigm is utilitarian,what the majority want.Nothing could be more illiberal.To vote to abandon democracy is a contradiction itself so logically anyone who opposes democracy should not go to the ballot box to do so as to do so would validate democracy.Unless I am missing something...

Conservative anatomy

A Conservative Telegraph journalist Kate Maltby I think on Question Time last week prefaced her comments by saying: 'I am not a socialist'. She then proceeded to give a long emotive speech in defence of the NHS.Working on the premise of never underestimating the stupidity of a BBC audience she of course got away with it but it is illustrative of conservative 'thought'.

Perhaps I am being too generous toward the woman in question.She could be so confused and muddled in her thinking that she really believes that one can support the   NHS and Not be a socialist. As the NHS is a political ideological socialist construct through and through it is hard to see how this could be the case however especially as the woman was introduced as a historian! So I think it is safe to say she knew exactly what she was doing, namely to completely deceive her audience which is hardly the behaviour one would expect from a historian.

Looking at recent Conservative history this practice of deceit is one of its most salient characteristics -one only has to take a cursory look at how it has systematically misled and lied to the public about the UK's membership of the EU for decades and indeed continues to do so.

So dissimulation is one of the Conservatives sine qua non. As it professes to be anti ideological,pragmatist,non philosophical this gives it an awful lot of wriggle room which is an essential  requirement for political office or so it thinks

This sorry state of affairs does illustrate one thing perfectly and that is the inpossiblity of being ideology/philosophy -free.The quaint/bizarre thing about Conservatives is they truly believe that if you do not explicitly name the premise,ideology and philosophy that is driving your policies that will mean you are not being guided by them.

Although this is hard to comprehend it is of course possible that a person can be so divorced from the conceptual realm of thinking they can put forward policies that are based on an ideology and philosophy that they have never identified so that policies become floating concretes to be applied arbitrarily completely separated from their conceptual provenance and such is the nature of conservatism.

Greece, the EU and the UK Left's Hypocrisy

Funny how here in the UK anyone who dared to challenge the supreme wisdom of the the EU and all its works over the decades has been branded variously by the British Left establishment as the devil incarnate,'little Englanders,racists,bigots,'anti Europeans' and altogether socially, morally and intellectually beyond the pale.Yet when a bunch of extreme Left/Communists/ hooligans in Greece decide to confront and challenge the EU grand   project  there is not a peep from the UK left.Suddenly its the brave and plucky Greeks against  the cruel apparatchiks of Brussels.Albeit self awareness has never been one of the Left's strong points,the rest of us are surely entitled to marvel and reflect on the sheer brazen hypocrisy and double standards from them on this issue.

Hostage to fortune

Some debate over whether an individual or State should do deals with hostages but my provisional rather than definitive view is that they should not as it gives sucor and financial aid to terorists who will be emboldened to carry out yet more hostage taking so that in paying ransom to free one's loved one or State's citizen it is tantamount to aiding and abetting terrorists,contributing to future hostage taking and it is therfor a criminal act of collaboration and collusion.

There is more than one way to support the enemy and it makes no difference whether the support is material and financial or spiritual/intellectual.A prisoner swap whilst not adding any direct financial benefit to the hostage takers gives them cachet,emboldens and empowers their cause and leverages their influence and therfor their ability to wreak destruction and terorise in order to achieve their stated objectives.(It is for this reason that the famous broadcasters nicknamed Lord Haw Haw who contributed propaganda to the Germans during world war two was rightly considered a traitor to the West and who when he was apprehended was put on trial and executed as a defacto enemy combatant as he had lent intellectual succor to the Nazi war machine which was hell bent on the destruction of Britain).
