Or such is what appearances may suggest but in reality of course the only people who pay taxes are those who cannot avoid or evade them as their income is taxed at source via their employers.Everyone else will resist the attentions of the rapacious state tax system with all the ingenuity they can muster or hire in the form of highly skilled accountants.

So why not come out and say it,admit that taxation is theft and that democracy is a criminal racket.The morality of altruism with roots in religion silences our natural protest,paralyses all resistance and renders us dumb and compliant.

Opposition to the forces of darkness in the shape of unreformed Islam will rally in Newcastle today and one hopes the Pergida movement will grow exponentially over time to counter the cancerous growth of political Islam masquerading as a peaceful religion.

We know Greenenomics doesn't add up and the leader's embarrassment at not knowing her numbers on the LBC interview - and she has past form on this sort of thing - is symptomatic of a much deeper problem with the party and movement namely its tenuous grasp of economic reality to say nothing of its far left malevolent anti freedom,anti capitalist bias.This is the most anti freedom party since the days of the British communist party and any exposure of its unsound fragile grip on reality is all to the good as this is a highly toxic ideologically nihilistic movement at its rotten core.

The vile Scottish slimeball Malcolm  Rifkind has finally got his just desserts and had his corrupt ass kicked out of politics and quite why he has enjoyed such a long career is a mystery wrapped in an enigma all of its own.

Caught in a media sting Jack Straw is seen whoring his dubious services to a Chinese company for £5000 a day and has been suspended from his party, lifting the lid yet again on the stinking corruption when politics and business end up in bed with one another.One has to struggle to get one's head around the cynicism of politicians concocting byzantine laws and regulations tying businesses up in knots and then proffering their services to said businesses to negotiate and circumvent those very  bureaucratic Kafkaesque rules.

In Straw's case it was related to the EU that very embodiment of the Kafkaesque and illustrates if that were needed that the EU is the very antithesis of freetrade and requires the likes of Straw to negotiate the tortured rules it has constructed to retard trade and entrench protectionism. For a very large fee Jack will help you circumvent bureaucracy.

These are the political class who are going to clean up the tax avoidance evasion business class.Surely the word chutzpah was invented for Straw and his corrupt political class.Why does the public continue to trust such people one wonders.

Jihadi Janes

The three so called British girls who have gone to Syria via Turkey are being presented very sympathetically by the media and the families are lamenting  publicly and choreagraphically it must be said over their trauma but I cannot help thinking the best thing that can happen is that they come to grief and certainly are not allowed back into the country.

Treachery of that sort is beyond forgiveness.Good riddance to very bad rubbish.This is how they repay the host country that has bent over backward to accommodate them.Piss be upon them.We are told they are very intelligent so at least the usual excuse that they know not what they do cannot be deployed.The hell with them.

Shades of hypocrisy

From the little I have heard about the phenomenon Shades of Grey with its depictions of stalking torture and rape its apparent popularity among women readers is puzzling to say the least.That it has now been turned into a film and advertisments for which  plastered over school buses as I witnessed in town the other day is depressing also.

Are we to read from this that many women have an ambivalent attitude about violence towards them and how  this speak to the victories of feminism god only knows.Perhpas many women covertly share the view of some men that there is rape and rape and that a woman raped in an alley by a stranger is not the same as a woman who has sexual intercourse against her will after going up to a man's appartment in a consensual arrangement.If this is what they believe perhaps they should say so as it appears to be the inference from the mass popularity amongst women of this fictional work.

Oborne Legacy

Peter Oborne's departure or self regarding flounce from the Telegraph on the  grounds of the latter's  non coverage of the left wing media contrived HSBC story is neither regrettable or surprising as this rabid left wing tory has always expressed an unconcelaed hatred of capitalism and perhaps can now enjoy a position at the Guardian or Independent where I predict he will end up and where he undoubtedly belongs.

The paper in its editorial takes a well justified swipe at the BBC and other hypocritical news outlets with their tendentious anti capitalist propaganda which in the case of the BBC of course is funded out of a State imposition of tax re the TV licence fee which people have to pay on pain of imprisonment.

Steve Hewlet the BBC's resident leftie media reporter did a critical piece on the Telegraph on radio 4 Today prog which was characteristically biased and abusive toward the Telegraph and as we are all forced to pay the lefty lickspittle's wages it is surely the licence payers who should feel justifiably aggrieved at this intolerable and morally untenable imposition.

The intellectual degeneracy of the left finds its full noisome expression in the reptilian Will Self explaining why he could not contribute to the debate after the Charlie Hebdo slaughter and the intellectual ratiocinations proffered by him as to why   would make the most accomplished sophist appear crude by comnparison.Satire  Self argued is supposed to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable and as the mohamud cartons offended all muslims it was therefor not satire and so not worthy of defence.

Beware! Slippery sophists at work

In an oldish youtube of Peter Hitchens and brother Christopher the former makes a very slippery argument which is not uncharacteristic of him to the effect that liberty if perverted into licence will produce a backlash of authoritaianism and he states it in his matter of factness tone of voice as if it were an indisputable fact rather than a very dangerous fallacy and I shall hopefully explain why it is just such.

For a start he does not define terms.Just what does licence mean,it is a purposely undefined loaded term which may well mean any action of which Peter the stern moralist personally disapproves.Who know what he intends,we can surmise it would encompass such things as pornography and drug consumption and as a matter of fact I now recall he does refer to the former in the American context of the founding fathers who when framing their document on liberty ie the Constitution were so moral they could never have dreamed that an avalanche of porn would descend on the continent a few centuries after the document had been finished.

So liberty means comporting yourself in an upright moral way and if you deviate from the path of righteousness,well liberty is not for you and it will be  taken away from you.In the guise of forestalling authoritarianism Peter Hitchens end up advocating it.A very strange way of coming at liberty indedeed.

You didn't build that, take two

To truly understand the pathology of left wing thought people could do worse than spend a day listening to radio 4 s political output but it does require a strong stomach.This from a caller to a phone in prog after the Any Questions ,to paraphrase: employers are basically criminals who not only evade and avoid tax but hire people on low wages and then keep all the profits and moreover they do not actually do any real physical work but just manipulate systems and they are ergo little more than criminals and should be treated as such.

This was pretty much the vein of the whole section on the recent tax avoidance evasion furore from the people who called in.To the gulags with them,send them off to the fields.North Korea and Cambodia invocations.Not one whimper of objection to this moral intellectual outrage and obscenity from the vacuous female presenter was forthcoming.

We should at least be grateful to be given such a terrifying  but instructive  and vital ventilation of the left wing view of the world.

Living in a Political World

Everything is political and that is a pretty good definition of the totalitarian.Yet the clamour never ceases for more politics,more political solutions,the refrain the government should do this or that is never far from any conversation and this should be a cause of grave concern and alarm yet it is not.The personal is the political was always an ominous statement and now we begin to see its ghastly and sinister implications.

The politicisation of every thought word and deed is a poison that will corrode our liberty and we really need to examine how we have strayed so far from the concept of individual liberty and freedom and how creeping statism has now insinuated its way into every nook and cranny of  human existence and actually changed our use of language,the way we think and our culture.The abolition of the personal and the part that religion and philosphy has played in this process is something of utmost urgency to examine and there is not that much time left to do it.

The Psychopathology of Faith

Watching Roy Masters for my sins I came across a comment he made about Steve Jobs Apple creator of the I Pad. The reason he died according to Masters is because re his invention he did not give acknowledgement of the achievement to God.He worked too hard he added.Is this the essence of religious faith I wondered.Apart from the sheer malice and contempt towards Jobs,the insult is instructive in illustrating the mindset of believers.

One wonders what achievements of the human race along the slow halting and tortuous path to civilization were ever arrived at through meditation ie sitting in a straight backed chair and being aware of the moment.The religious scientists who did achieve anything of note did so by keeping faith well out of their labours and only giving a craven and perfunctory namecheck to God at the end  a la Masters.

Religion stood at the gates of science and barred all from entering on pain of torture and death,it  gave us the barbarity of the dark ages and the enlightenment and the dawn of civilization only came with the defeat of the religious establishment and the unseating of its votaries by the sheer force of reason and its application in science.The technology that Masters cynically avails himself of whilst disrespectfully abusing   only came about through the defeat of the kind of medieval religiosity he lauds.

There are not many countries that go from communism to fascism without  missing a beat but Russia has achieved this illustrating perhaps the fundamental commonalites between the two collectivst ideologies.The common characteristic of kleptocracy are key.As Russia slides inexorably towards full blown fascist dictatorship its borders seek to expand exponentially as it demands more territory to feed its voracious appetite for human and natural resources and to deflect attention away from its totalitarian internal policies by creating a common enemy of the other which is the eternal appeal of nationalism.

There are as ever always useful idiots among the perpetually aggrieved pseudo  intellectual classes who will lend their voice to the totalitarian beast in this case Putin's Russia and will protstitute what little intelligence they have to the service of the propaganda lie machine and these can be seen whoring their dubious talents on State run Soviet RT broadcast throughout Western Europe spewing out a steady stream of anti Western anti American propaganda and notable amongst these are the  noisome oleaginous soviet lickspittle George Galloway and Max Keiser,and Stacy Herbert and a whole host of pro Putin votaries towing the party line for financial emolument.

Russia's incurson into the Ukraine and its brazen annexation of Crimea are Hitleresque in scope and kind but do not warrant NATO involvement,the latter organization well past its sell by date but moral opprobrium heaped on Putin and ostracism will be a far more effective tool against this maladroit 20th century gargoyle.

The sophist argument for taxation

The pro tax statists argue that those who avoid paying taxes are criminal because they have used the health,education transport and other state services and not paid for them.They go on to say that the people they employ in their businesses have benefited from the education service etc and so indirectly, have their tax avoiding employers. This neatly avoids the fact that in all those interactions one thing is entirely absent namely individual volition.In all these instances there was no voluntary engagement in those services,they are entirely state coerced,with individual choice totally absent from the equation.

It is the height of absurdity  immorality and disengenuousness to say that one owes any duty to participate in one's own servitude by paying tax and that one should be grateful to receive services one had no choice in selecting and was forced to pay for under duress by the state.To demand that a person so deprived of their liberty owes a duty to comply with this arrangement is to demand a sanction of the victim which no self respecting person could possibly give.

Politicans/glass houses/stones

Politicians trade on the public's short memory.This comes in useful with the tax avoidance evasion furore as they can present themselves as the people who are going to solve the problem and crack down on the guilty when it was only a few years ago the whole political class was in the dock for fiddling their expenses and the system was exposed as rotten to the core.Now it has been ostensibly reformed and their opportunity for malfeasance has been curbed they now want to present themselves as on the side of financial probity,going after the avoiders and evaders.If there was a Nobel prize for chutzpah they would all be sure fire contenders.

Tax avoidance and evasion is Moral

The sheer scale of tax avoidance and evasion in the UK is proof positive that the tax levels are  prohibitive and punitive and gives the lie to the gov propaganda that they are competitive and reasonable.The thriving black economy further illustrates this with people who have little disposable income having to resort to avoidance and evasive methods to circumvent the greed and insatiable appetite and invasive depradations of the British tax system.

The tax zealots who see taxation as a  weapon to punish the productive and industrious seek to position themselves on the moral highground but it is the twisted perverted moral inverted universe occupied by all mafia outfits and criminal gangs who seek to justify their parasitic predatory operations with a pseudo moralistic front.

There is nothing moral whatsoever in the State stealing and plundering from the producers via taxation to redistribute to the non producers in order to grub for votes from the non working welfare classes to gain political power.This is corruption and extortion on an industrial scale by a ruling kleptocratic class all done through the poisoned channels of the democratic process and the ballot box illustrating once again the essential amoral depravity at the rotten heart of democracy.

At both ends of the income scale there is a covert revolt against the political taxing  elites and they should join together in commonality and begin an organised revolt against the parasitic predatory political ruling class of thieves and bandits all seemingly united and driven by a pathological ideological hatred of trade,commerce,industry success and capitalism.

As the SNP has pledged to go on an  anti austerity spending orgy with the full expectation that it will be English taxpayers bailing Scotland out when it goes  the way of Greece it is surely incumbent on the British government to let the Scots know now that there will be no such bailout before it hurtles down its self destructive socialist path.

The liberal media deliberately talked up the prospect a yes vote during the Scottish referndum which forced the hands of a panicking coalition to offer the Scots incentives to vote no and which has left the English taxpayers with  the financial burdens of a defacto independent Scotland which has been granted  all the advantages of gov but none of the liabilities.

This will only cause resentment in England and hasten the inevitable day of its dissolution as a nation state.

Atheism next to godliness

 It is interesting to note how many atheists are liberal socialist in their politics including the late Christopher Hitchens.They may believe they have shaken off their religious heritage but in their very political positions ie socialism the root of which is altruism they are simply manifesting it in another form. As the heart of Christian faith is of course altruism, in advocating socialism they have in effect merely substituted the power of the state for the power of god.

Hitchens  argued that human goodness and a sense of right and wrong are innate - hence his rather astonishing claim  that a young child knows the difference between right and wrong without being taught, rather than being born tabula rasa and that it is perfectly possible to have a moral philosophy without any ties to religious thought and to suggest otherwise was an insult to all decent non believers.Whilst the latter is undoubtedly true the idea of innate goodness is of religious origin.

It was no accident  that the early socialists called their brave new world of socialist planing the New Jerusalem acknowledging thereby the religious foundations of altruist thought.

The vile and noxious Giles Frasier C of E bigmouth is a good argument for disestablishment and on Today prog he was vomiting his usual totalitarian Marxism about taxation but with a Christian twist.The money we earn does not really belong to us but to God and taxation is simply an acknowledgement of this 'fact' and ergo politicians are merely carrying out God's work by taxing us.

 No one could have drawn a more graphic illustration of the straight line between faith in an other dimensional deity and secular collectivist  thought.The choice for man is therfor simple: bow the knee to a totalitarian God or its secular equivalent, the State.

As shocking and as obscene as Frasier's views undoubtedly are it is good to have them laid out so bare, in plain sight so one can see what one is dealing with. All the better to counter them with reason and show therby how such views are in existential conflict with individual rights and liberty ie the very requirements for human existence , survival, material prosperity and success.

The pitiful response from the Conservative Right to all this is to say yes, this celestial dictator does indeed own the human race but like a loving father he wants his children to be responsible and not dependent layabouts so he subjects them to tough love and discourages welfare  dependency.This is to face both ways and represents an existential contradiction:   man is born a slave and commanded to be free.

The only correct and consistent position to adopt is to say that man must be free from all coercion whether it come from another dimension in the form of a mystical entity or some earthly dictatorship of the state. No one appears to be doing this which represents a philosophical vaccum at the heart of political discourse.

Tax and the mafia state

Tax avoidance is a normal human response to physical force.Since when did it become illegal.Just as an individual would cross over the road to avoid a mugger the natural reaction to a predatory state is to take action to circumvent it. Everyone who can  does it hence the maligned black economy.If governments crack down on this perfectly rational behaviour there will just be another flight of business out of the country,the much famed braindrain of old.Instead of jumping on the anti business Labour bandwagon the gov should defend businesses from protecting their profits and pledge not to wage a vendetta against them.

The vile socialist witch bitch Margaret Hodge of the Public Affairs Comintern star chamber tried  on the radio 4 Today pro to equate tax avoidance with benefit fraud  seemingly unable to distinguish between an attempt by business to keep hold of its earnings and a welfare troglodyte gaming the system. Apparently the businesses in question  in her twisted universe are somehow, depriving the taxpayers although even in her crazy pretellogic this is surely  a cognitive contortion too far.

Chalked mesages on the pavement outside a local library included such gems as 'books not war' and 'keep books free' and other such doggerel serving to illustrate  one of the salient features of the left namely its sloganeering that succeeds in bipassing the conscious   part of the brain which is a key part of its attraction for those who prefer to emote than reason.

Such an approach leaves the door wide open for demagoguery and downright lying of course -' keep books free' being a case in point.Someone is paying for them,they are not free.This is not just sloppy language but intentional deception.The essential infantilism of the left is exposed as like children they demand things imperiously and will brook no dissent.Ends are divorced from means and instant gratification is demanded accompanied by histrionics and threats if the demands are not met.A self righteous tone of course goes with the territory.

The eternal appeal of the demagogue is to make the unreasonable sound reasonable.Leftism, will never go away, alas.

Labour and the politics of hate

Under Labour will business people have to wear some insignia on their clothing to identity themselves as its anti business campaign morphs into  the new anti semitism? There is for sure something of an ugly persecution of business in Labour's recent pronouncements that are ominous enough.

Tax havens are excoriated and Milliband is going to be on their case.A proper response from the latter should be stop persecuting your business people who are the backbone of any nation,stop plundering them of their resources in taxation and they will not have to take their money out of your country to protect it from your parasitic and predatory policies designed  to reward your political base with welfare and handouts.

A meek response is the more likely one but we should not forget that first they came for the businessmen......

Liberal Larceny

It is easy to forget that it was the liberal party at the turn of the 20th century that ushered in the collectivist state we know today,prefiguring the welfare state and its punitive tax base and redistributive follies.The father of the welfare state was Lloyd George and the Gladstone reform acts were the pathway along the tortuous road to welfare serfdom.

So it was no surprise given its ideological provenance that Clegg announced yesterday part of the Liberal manifesto for gov involving taxation of the wealthy as this is par for the course for liberals who think human beings exist soley to service the rapacious state in its egalitarian socialist ends of larceny and wealth redistribution.This despite the liberal's ceaseless efforts to position themselves to the right of Labour, as the moderate point between the latter and the tories.

They love to play good cop to the tories bad cop but it is all window dressing as the Liberals are the most illiberal when it comes to seeing human beings as the material means to socialist ends of big government.

Is this all there is?

It is often said by those of faith that man cannot live by bread alone and needs a spiritual side to his nature and not just an arrid materialism.This is to misrepresent those who live by reason as the spiritual and transcendent for them can be expressed in art,music,literature,relationships etc.One can marvel and appreciate nature in all its manifestations without thinking it is the creation of a mystical entity from another dimension.

For those governed by reason the spiritual is the mind and all that can be achieved by it and its unlimited potential and capacity.There is a certain malevolence and belittling of human achievement in the religious whine of 'is this all there is' as if all the vast possibilites of the human conciousness were somehow of naught and to be derided as the pathetic attempts of human beings to be the architects of their own destiny,to be beings of a self made soul which is manifestly what we are.

Mythologising Left

How many times do we hear the phrase global capitalism trip glibly from the lips of the left as if it were an actual fact rather than a created myth.It seems incapable of honest debate and has to conjur up fictions and pedal misrepresentations to gain support from an already credulous public.

It is no accident that the economic crash of 07/8 occurred in the most heavily state regulated markets namely banking and housing.It was gov that strong armed the banks into lending to those who had no visible means of paying back the money and even had an agency in Fannie May expressly designed to that end.When everything fell apart the state then declared there to be a failure of capitalism and unleashed another avalanche of regulation!

Global capitalism, another paper tiger of the left that is ripe for the shredder. For such a defintion to be accurate there would have to be a total absence of taxation and regulation rather than the mixed economy confection we see globally.

And let us not forget that the cause of the housing shortage in the UK and many other countries is again down to state interference as the planning laws are so onerous,the bureaucratic paper trail so tortuous that an artificial shortage has been created, compounded by green belt preservation restrictions and the state monopoly of land which it has no business owning.If such restrictions were lifted and a truly free market of land and property unleashed there would be an abudance of housing for all who required it rather than the present state induced scarcity.

Labour macht frei

To Labour business is organized crime and no amount of anathema poured over it is ever enough.A flight of capital and business out of the UK seems inevitable with the very real threat of a Labour victory at the polls in May.With a Marxist leader way to the left of Michael Foot who seems like a social democrat in comparison business has every right to feel threatened by a Labour government.

With no understanding of business the only achievement of a Miliband gov is another brain drain as was witnessed in the 1950's and the only business that will remain will end up in a Gulag of tax and regulation, nationalised by stealth to pay for the Greek like expansion of the state and the public sector all organised and controlled of course by Labour's paymeisters the unions.Back to the future as the old labour dog returns to its gromit.

Reflections on democracy...

A whole programme devoted to democracy on radio 4 recently manage to spend its entirety discussing process without questioning democracy itself.What does it matter if 33% get to vote your liberty away or 99%,when the end is identical -a denial of liberty? If one man's liberty is taken from him liberty is denied.The democracy pardigm is utilitarian,what the majority want.Nothing could be more illiberal.To vote to abandon democracy is a contradiction itself so logically anyone who opposes democracy should not go to the ballot box to do so as to do so would validate democracy.Unless I am missing something...

Conservative anatomy

A Conservative Telegraph journalist Kate Maltby I think on Question Time last week prefaced her comments by saying: 'I am not a socialist'. She then proceeded to give a long emotive speech in defence of the NHS.Working on the premise of never underestimating the stupidity of a BBC audience she of course got away with it but it is illustrative of conservative 'thought'.

Perhaps I am being too generous toward the woman in question.She could be so confused and muddled in her thinking that she really believes that one can support the   NHS and Not be a socialist. As the NHS is a political ideological socialist construct through and through it is hard to see how this could be the case however especially as the woman was introduced as a historian! So I think it is safe to say she knew exactly what she was doing, namely to completely deceive her audience which is hardly the behaviour one would expect from a historian.

Looking at recent Conservative history this practice of deceit is one of its most salient characteristics -one only has to take a cursory look at how it has systematically misled and lied to the public about the UK's membership of the EU for decades and indeed continues to do so.

So dissimulation is one of the Conservatives sine qua non. As it professes to be anti ideological,pragmatist,non philosophical this gives it an awful lot of wriggle room which is an essential  requirement for political office or so it thinks

This sorry state of affairs does illustrate one thing perfectly and that is the inpossiblity of being ideology/philosophy -free.The quaint/bizarre thing about Conservatives is they truly believe that if you do not explicitly name the premise,ideology and philosophy that is driving your policies that will mean you are not being guided by them.

Although this is hard to comprehend it is of course possible that a person can be so divorced from the conceptual realm of thinking they can put forward policies that are based on an ideology and philosophy that they have never identified so that policies become floating concretes to be applied arbitrarily completely separated from their conceptual provenance and such is the nature of conservatism.

Greece, the EU and the UK Left's Hypocrisy

Funny how here in the UK anyone who dared to challenge the supreme wisdom of the the EU and all its works over the decades has been branded variously by the British Left establishment as the devil incarnate,'little Englanders,racists,bigots,'anti Europeans' and altogether socially, morally and intellectually beyond the pale.Yet when a bunch of extreme Left/Communists/ hooligans in Greece decide to confront and challenge the EU grand   project  there is not a peep from the UK left.Suddenly its the brave and plucky Greeks against  the cruel apparatchiks of Brussels.Albeit self awareness has never been one of the Left's strong points,the rest of us are surely entitled to marvel and reflect on the sheer brazen hypocrisy and double standards from them on this issue.

Hostage to fortune

Some debate over whether an individual or State should do deals with hostages but my provisional rather than definitive view is that they should not as it gives sucor and financial aid to terorists who will be emboldened to carry out yet more hostage taking so that in paying ransom to free one's loved one or State's citizen it is tantamount to aiding and abetting terrorists,contributing to future hostage taking and it is therfor a criminal act of collaboration and collusion.

There is more than one way to support the enemy and it makes no difference whether the support is material and financial or spiritual/intellectual.A prisoner swap whilst not adding any direct financial benefit to the hostage takers gives them cachet,emboldens and empowers their cause and leverages their influence and therfor their ability to wreak destruction and terorise in order to achieve their stated objectives.(It is for this reason that the famous broadcasters nicknamed Lord Haw Haw who contributed propaganda to the Germans during world war two was rightly considered a traitor to the West and who when he was apprehended was put on trial and executed as a defacto enemy combatant as he had lent intellectual succor to the Nazi war machine which was hell bent on the destruction of Britain).

Teachers overreach pay grade

Teachers in the state schools are government employees,not employers but you would not know it to hear them hold forth about school education policy.No employee in the private sector would be able to set terms and conditions and to effectively shape the business policy of the company which employed them yet time after time we witness the arrogance of the teaching profession demanding a free hand in the classroom to shape curicula and determine the examination process.

Heaven forbid any timorous attempt is made on behalf of the schools minister to shape the agenda and determine the educational direction, ethos and practice of the state education system which after all as the representative state employer he or she has the remit to do -for good or ill, as I of course do not advocate any state involvement in education and propose a totally free market,unregulated laisez faire privatised education system which alone will bring rigor,innovation to the sclerotic non achieving union dominated closed shop of state education.

But just witness the highly organized wailing and gnashing of teeth when any attempt is made to reform the corrupt union controlled state education system with its jobs for life ethos of mediocrity and dumbing down,where at a teacher's conference years ago the rational practice of teaching reading,phonics was dismissed as 'right wing,' and you see the extent to which the teachers have organized a defacto putch in the classroom, co opting the curicula with their own leftist agendas and so inflating grades that any pass is rendered meaningless and redundant which means condemning generations to the scrap heap of unemployability replete with a full compliment of a's and b's.

So the gov attempts to stop all this nonsense by refusing to recognise any exam results that are the product of multiple sittings which in the real world is eminently sensible.If Man Utd played West ham and lost would they be able to replay the match  as many times as it took to get a result in their favour?To ask the question is to see the insanity of the whole thing but of course the teachers are up in arms about it and why? Because bad results reflect badly on them and rightly so. Better by far to have the pupil take multiple shots at the exam until they get a half decent result.And give them dumbed down Micky Mouse courses that no one can fail and then equate them with academic work that actually requires the accumulation of knowledge and the application of effort and thought.This is the equivalent of a food company adulterating its product and passing it of as quality provender.Fraud in other words.Such is the sorry state of State education and no amount of tweaking and tinkering is going to address the fundamental malaise and corruption at its heart.

Drug Prohibition Folly

It has been said that politicians usually do the right thing after exhausting all other possibilities but quite often they end up doing the right thing for the wrong reason. The call in some liberal quarters for drug legalisation is a case in point.Its advocates argue for it not on moral grounds of liberty of the individual  but on the utilitarian grounds that it would reduce crime.They also see it as a great tax revenue raising exercise and seek through heavy regulation to have a state monopoly over its distribution.

Although it is true that the prison population would be drastically reduced were drugs legalised it makes no sense as an argument for on those grounds one could advocate de-criminalising rape murder and burglary and close the prisons down completely.

The lesson of prohibition and its repeal was never properly learned and stems precisely from this wrong thinking whereby prohibition was abandoned   on utiltarian grounds of stopping crime rather than on the grounds of a defense of individual liberty.

A proper defense of liberty would be to abandon drug prohibition as it represents a violation of individual rights.This is in no way to endorse drug taking as it clearly impairs the cognitive faculties but a true test of a belief in liberty  occasionally involves a willingness to defend  some of its least attractive applications.

Imprisoning Ideology

It has been a long know fact that today's prisons are run by the inmates not the authorities and this was illustrated in a ch 4 piece yesterday where the prisoners had downloaded from their mobile phones videos of them openly drug dealing and flourishing  wads of fifty pound notes.The usual excuses were made about staff shortages but the obvious solution is to privatise the prisons as they are at present run by corrupt union officials who have a stranglehold on the service and many of whom appear to be in collusion with the drug dealers.

The prisons are just another of a long line of failed state institutions ruined by monopolised union control and a complete shake up of the system is imperative.The introduction of private companies would introduce rigour,innovation and provide employment for the inmates so they are not  left idle at the expense of the taxpayers  who are the victims twice over in the equation having been impacted by crime and then forced to subsidise the criminal's leisurely lifestyle with drugs computers and all the pleasures of the outside.

As unions are traditionally on the side of the underdog it is clear why the present situation prevails.The wardens appear to have more sympathy for the prisoners than their victims and the liberal regimes they have established in the state prisons have created the anarchy in the system. (A similar thing happened in the State schools) Introduction of privatisation of the prisons system will correct this very sorry and tragic state of affairs.

Greek debt of ingrattitude

There is nothing wrong essentially in a country defaulting on its debt under certain conditions.The UK for instance could default on its huge debt that threatens to bankrupt future generations mortgaging the yet unborn but it would only be appropriate if it repudiated the whole state spending,borrowing-welfare splurging construct and pledged to never do such a thing again by having a written constitution to that effect.

This is not what Greece has in mind of course.On the contrary it wants its debt written off or euphemistically restructured so that it can launch into yet another orgy of state spending to buy off its client electorate in the public sector with lavish pensions,jobs for life,benefits galore - in other words to engage in the very prodigal delinquent state spending that got it into its mess in the first place.

No one despises the EU more than me but I am actually beginning to feel a bit of sympathy for it in its tortured dealings with Greece and think rather than doing deals with the degenerate and decadent Greek state it should kick it out of the Euro and the EU.Obviously the EU is the architect of this mess as it encouraged the Greeks to indulge in their creative accounting and turned a blind eye to its parlous unsustatainable economic state in order to expand its borders in its ambitious hegemonic vision of a united states of Europe and now the Greek chickens are coming home to roost.I guess they deserve one another.

Labourtory specimen

The absence of any libertarian voice in the run up to the election is not surprising as the UK may well have reached a tipping point of no return re the statist direction of travel but it is to be hoped that Farage and co may embrace their inner libertarian and move the needle slightly away from the country's present position and the murmurings about the NHS among some UKIPers gives a tiny shard of hope in that regard if nothing more.

It is wrong of course to think that the conservatives are pro markets as the only reason they are cutting back a little on the state is purely pragmatic.A narrow, utilitarian, anti philosophical expedience- driven attitude governs their policy and they are just as prone to massive state vanity projects like HS2 etc and huge state partnership with business proving that Conservatives and Labour  are sisters under the skin and that the tories are indeed at heart, collectivists.

Little Green men

There is an apparent surge in support for the Greens in the UK partly caused by their proposed exclusion in the upcoming pre general election debates but they have raised their profile and have a sizeable following which should be of concern to all those who value individual freedom which if they had their way would be radically curtailed as they are to the left of old Labour in their statist objectives.

Wholesale nationalisation swingeing taxation,curbs on growth and energy use,the only possible outcome is poverty,which taken to its logical conclusion would be an anti industrial,anti technological retreat of Cambodian dimensions,a return to nature where man of course cannot survive and his carbon footprint is removed as human existence becomes impossible.This,the true end and objective of the environihilists.

Small wonder Cameron is keen to have the environmentalist in the debate as he himself and his party have been captured by their agenda and is sympathetic to their cause so successful have they been in their assiduous campaign to infiltrate and co opt public discourse.

Beware of Greeks demanding gifts

So the Greek people have voted to take a permanent vacation in la la land,to take a pass on reality and send us the bill.They after all cannot be expected to work beyond the age of 55 and they need their lavish pensions and siesta lifestyle,their bloated corrupt parasitic public sector which includes just about every greek 'worker' -that's why they joined the EU in the first place - so the Germans and the Brits could keep them in the manner to which they had become accustomed via huge infusions of taxpayer's dough through the EU cash dispensing service.

A reminder if one were needed why we in the UK need to take the EU exit door and leave the whole sorry collectivist mess behind us.

Faith v Man

One of the first of the religious radio call in hosts in the US, Roy Masters claims on his youtube recordings that man's greatest crime is playing God.I am wondering who actually does that as to play God one would have to claim an omnipotence of knowledge,indeed to be the source of all knowledge and moreover,to be able to perform miracles and have access to another dimension.Clearly only lunatics and people under medication would lay claim to such supernatural powers.Obviously Roy Masters does not have such people in mind but rather all or most human beings (other than himself of course).So what does he mean to play God? To think independently,to rely soley on one's own mind and independent judgement,one's 'mere' intellect.

This is the essence of mysticism,a dismissal of the intellect as a tool of cognition.Yet in order to convey this idea the intellect has to be used or communication of such an idea would not be possible. Roy Masters claims we should speak from the heart but I have never heard or seen a speaking heart.

Surely the person who is 'playing God' is the one who claims to have a mystical connection with a supernatural power from another dimension which is not accessible through the intellect.But in any case what is the condition of someone who abandons their intellect and relies as Masters advocates on a non sensory,non rational,non intellectual power that will direct their actions and thoughts via  the meditation he teaches which requires that a person sits in a straight backed chair,becomes aware of their hand and concentrates on the centre of their forehead? Surely not one of a sentient thinking being but rather a mindless schmoo receptive to any amount of mystical mush of which mystics like Roy Masters seem to have in abundant supply.

Sordid Arabia

Saudi Arabia the very cesspit of the muslim world,the source from which the toxic ebola-like virus of Izlam has spread across the middle east to contaminate the globe leaving a trail of destruction in its wake,this is the country the UK is honouring by hanging its flags at half mast in 'respect' of its deceased monarch.

Just a week ago a blogger was being flogged for daring to host a forum on free speech and here we are toadying up to a vile Arab dictatorship whilst at the same time saying we are at war with extreme Islam  and that UK citizens have to give up their liberty privacy and freedom in order to fight it.

Surely proof if proof were needed that the west is not at war with this evil ideology and its exponents but is busy in Chamberlainesque appeasement of  it and is using the pretext of the phoney war on terror to rob us of our liberties and freedom on the installment plan.

You cannot be Syriza

It is risible for the international media to characterise the far left party Syriza as a radical departure in Greek politics.They are offering the same stale crackerbarrel left wing politics that got Greece into its mess in the first place albeit in more extreme turbo charged form.If the party does win at the weekend and sticks firmly to its suicidal policies it will exit not just the euro but the EU and will hasten the demise of this sclerotic and corrupt construct.

Conversely if Syriza is granted its effective ransom demands this will create a domino effect from other similar basket case economies such as Italy Spain Ireland and that too will send the tottering EU empire into a vortex and spiral of self destruction.Either way it is good news for all those who loathe the EU evil empire and wish it to be buried in the trash can of history.

Philosophy drives politics

 Our philosophy of life determines our political allegiance.Whether we think man is an end in himself or a means to the  lives of other men frames our politics.The left clearly sees man as a means to the  ends of  other men,with each sacrificing to each and this informs their social policy of tax and wealth redistribution.

This is implicit,rarely explicit for if they had to say whether they believe man is an end himself or a means to the ends of other men they would be very reluctant to admit the latter and would feel the need to rephrase the question as put in those stark terms it would make people feel uncomfortable.It is the premise that dare not speak its name -the idea that man is a sacrificial animal,a means to the ends of others whose wealth is to be appropriated for the common good,to provide for the improvident.It has to be dressed in coded language with emotive buzz words and mantra -like stock phrases that are designed to bipass the cerebral cortex such as the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

 Political discourse on poverty starts in the middle, on what should be done about  it with all the above premises explicitly excluded but implicitly informing policy decisions.Such premises are never challenged,the left has somehow won the argument without ever having it and the blame has to go to those who have allowed all these collectivist assumptions to go unchallenged.The unspoken enemy is of course altruism with its religious roots that are so embedded in our culture that to challenge them is to place oneself in the position of a heretic,anti Christ,beyond social discourse.No one has the temerity to stand up and point out that the collectivist emperor is wearing no clothes.

The very idea that the individual is nothing but a social construct,a human resource to be harvested for the good of mankind should be regarded as so abhorrent and anti human as to be beyond discussion yet such is the betrayal by the intellectuals this view is everyday currency and shapes policy across the board.Cannibalism of the individual is the dystopic endgame of democracy and from the intellectuals there is nothing but a deafening silence.

Constitutional Insania

The LSE has commissioned a written constitution via crowd sourcing and some of its preliminary findings should come as no surprise when its remit, parameters and premises are  characteristically collectivist and statist. With the stated objectives the common good, the  vox populi participants have risen to the challenge with relish producing a Santa Claus wish list of goodies  which they deem as their birthright including all the usual suspects  such as free healthcare,a living wage ad nauseam.

Ends divorced from means,a written constitution comprised of a list of demands, hanging in a void - and just how and where you might ask, is all the money is to be found for this bounty and largesse? Somehow, some way,let someone else figure that out,only our needs are paramount.

The LSE looters charter is a grim joke unless it is ever implemented and the producers are forced to provide for all the vocal needy who have helped draw it up.

DON'T Mind the Gap

The mantra of the left that the gap between rich and poor is growing is of course supposed to bipass the cerebral cortex and it is very successful in so doing but it should be  countered by saying that the gap is actually a good thing because it is accurately measures the distance between competence and incompetence, success and failure,good performance versus bad,excellence versus mediocrity.To fill in that pay gap,to shorten the distance between those two points with government legislation will not eliminate mediocrity and failure but merely enshrine, reward and entrench it.

The gap between rich and poor argument reveals the profound misunderstanding on the left of how wealth is made  and how economies actually function as it sees the economy as  finite size like a pie whose portions have to  be fairly distributed ( by the state of course) to ensure an equality of outcome and moreover that wealth is  a given,a natural phenomenon that simply exists and then has to be doled out equally which completely bipasses the cause of wealth which is individual effort and achievement,an extraordinary expenditure of ingenuity,effort and intellectual work.

It is this,the product of individual minds,independence and achievement that the collectivists seek to appropriate  to the egalitarian end of providing welfare to the non achievers,the non productive,those who merely perform by rote the actions of others.In other words, the productive are to become the slaves of the non productive to achieve this noble end of closing the gap between rich and poor.

Starkey raving mad?

I was disappointed to hear the usually sensible David Starkey on Question Time last week advocating protectionism to counter globalisation.Perhaps he had caught socialism by osmosis sitting as he was next to Labour's Douglas Alexander.Just before that he had given a cogent analysis of Islam's travails caused by its insularity and its decision to turn inwards centuries ago and here he was now suggesting a fortress like Britain with tarriffs in a futile attempt to keep reality and world markets at bay.

I would suggest that it is over regulation taxation and tarriffs that have caused whatever economic problems this country has  and that no nation has ever secured long time economic prosperity by indulging in self defeating protectionist statism.

The mad mad world of john Humphries

Craziest statement of the week has to go to John Humphries on the Today prog radio 4 where I go to get my daily dose of liberal speak who excelled even himself when interviewing a spokesman from the gas industry who was complaining about the, in some instances, 80% tax on gas and urging for a reduction and Humphries  countered  surely that would be a a subsidy from the British taxpayer?( I shall pause while you grapple with the sublime  twisted logic of that statement gentle readers.) The interviewee to give him credit swiped that statement away with justified contempt.How can a reduction in a swingeing tax by the state be presented as a subsidy from the taxpayer??! Do these liberals go to a special school or what.

Democracy the God that failed

If democracy is a religion then most people would appear to be aetheist as membership of political parties has plummeted,voter turnout has declined over decades and there is a febrile disontent amongst a majority of the electorate which is expressed in an admixture of cynicism  hostility comtempt and indifference.

The political establishment is nervous and expresses alarm and dismay but it is the narrow pecuniary vested interest concern of a class facing possible extinction.The only thing they can offer by way of a sop is more devolution,regional self rule which will just result in more layers of local government  bureaucracy and a reduction of the nation state to petty Balkanised fiefdoms.

Instead of challenging the philosophical root of democracy more tinkering is proposed which will not address the frustration of the wider public who for the most part do not understand the cause of their discontent themselves which is of course the destruction of liberty and individual rights implicit in the democracy paradigm itself.

Needless to say the main benefactors of democracy ie its administrators will not be enlightening them on the matter as their very existence depends upon the democracy scam continuing into perpetuity.The proverbial turkeys will be voting for christmas before that happens.

Secularised Christianity

 Archbishop Sentanous socialist speech this week about poverty rather highlights a post I did on the C of E a few days ago pointing out that the de spiritualised church is now reduced to spouting secular collectivist nostrums that whilst they have their philosophical roots in the altruist base of christianity have been stripped of the other worldliness of a bygone age.

Their kingdom is now  of this world and so they have to get down with the secular masses and make the same noises as the political establishment.They will as a result be treated with the same indifference.Economic illiteracy characterises their pronouncements in particulary their advocacy of a living wage all interlarded with sugar coatings of altruist babble and babytalk.

Such pronouncements hasten the day of disestablishment as the church has been reduced to a political  pressure group that has abandoned its historical position as an institution ministering to the nation's spiritual needs and above the fray of sordid party politics.

No one should be at all surprised at the contents of the pope's speech yesterday attacking freedom of speech as Rome has the most to fear from the exercise of free speech with its dark history of institutionalised paedophilia and support of fascism in the last century.It is clear that with the waning of the Roman catholic faith he is rather envious of the spiritual muscularity of unreformed Islam and would like catholicism to have back its similar tyrannical power of old.Freedom and liberty poses a threat to all religions so no one should be surprised by the pope's  defence of Islam and attack on liberty as shocking despicable and obscene as it was.

Green Bogeys

Clearly Cameron is in a funk over Ukip re the tv debates and is using the Greens and their exclusion from the event as a human shield to protect him from the shafting Farage  has in store for him.Even Cameron knows the greens are fruitloops who believe the climate can be nationalised and controlled through taxation.A look at the chaos they have wrought In Brighton is a salutary warning of what they would do if they got power nationally.

The Privatisation Myth

A regulated market is not a free market and we see this in the energy arena with Labour wanting to force gas companies to lower their prices to British customers in line with lowered wholesale gas prices.Privatisation was supposed to remove the state from meddling in price fixing etc but of course it has done no such thing and what we have is the typical mixed economy model, distorting prices through regulation, and swingeing taxation which in the case of gas is as much as a staggering 80%.

What you will never hear from Labour or any of the other parties is the promise to reduce the eye wattering 60% taxation on petrol and gas which is hobbling the economy and which proves that their concern for  struggling middle England is mere rhetoric and cynical politiking.

Milliband's incursion into gas prices arena is further illustration of his economic illiteracy as only half the profits of gas companies is down to the wholesale price of gas and the rest is impacted by infrastructure spending,taxation,regulation and it purchases  in the wholesale market two years in advance to protect against price volatility ie long before the recent fall in gas wholesale prices.The Mad Marxist Miliband who thinks he is more intelligent than he is venturing in areas way beyond his pay grade.

Kill those who hurt our feelings

Salman Rushdie once referred to muslims who cannot brook criticism and react violently to satirists as 'thin skinned rats' and one was on radio 4 Today prog this morning,a muslim businessman no less saying many muslims felt the Charlie hebdo journalists had it coming and were not sorry they were killed and more such things would happen because of the publication of that journal today featuring the prophet - piss be upon him - on its front page.

UK muslims like the abovementioned who have the emotional intelligence of a three year old should either go on an anger management course or leave the country but they have been emboldened by years of multicuturalism/excuse making for their delinquent attitudes and a compliant poodle press and media that even in the wake of the Paris atrocities refuses to print the cartoons. This despite such UK journalists complaining about the French poodle press in the past and priding itself on its courageous take no prisoners journalism.

The kindegarten world  the thin skinned muslims seek to create for themselves in ghetto like retreat from any criticism should be challenged head on, and they should be told in no uncertain terms that their emotional fascism will not be tolerated,their offence seeking whining self pity and taking offence at every perceived slight is their problem to solve through therapy but will not be the basis of any legislation , protection or censorship and if they cannot live in an open liberal society and if they cannot accept such then they should take themselves off to another country where such values are absent.

C of E,New Statesman at Prayer

The reason people tolerate the non separation of church and state in this country is because the church is so self neutered,has become prey to every politically correct position, a sort of liberal party in frocks that no one could possibly see it as a threat to anyone or thing.It is so bland it has  effaced itself and when whoever the archbishop is makes a speech larded  with bromides and melifluous vacuities it barely registers in the public mind.

 This is in sharp contrast with Islam where a literal interpretation of the Koran is the norm.If the archbishop of the C of e stood up today and announced that he did not actually believe in God no one would be that surprised as none of his bretheren have sounded like they do for many a year.Catholics too have trooped hynotically to church for decades not believing there is anything wrong with contraception,women priests or even abortion in many cases and what they do is pay lip service,their eyes glazed over repeating the mantra like responses in what is essentially a social gathering rather than anything of deep spritual significance.

So Christianity has been de fanged in a way Islam has clearly not. Were it to be similarly transformed we could look upon it in the same indulgent way we do modern christianity rather than seeing it as the very real existential threat it is at present.

Labour's Hollande Source

If anyone wonders what a Labour government under Ed Milliband would look like they would only have to cast their gaze across the channel at the People's Republic of France to get a picture of what they can expect.The economic basket case of France,a country run by the unions is the endgame of such statist policies and if anything Milliband is to the left of Hollande.

As the unions over here limber up for yet more mindless public sector strikes called on a tiny minority of votes we can get a glimpse of what state the country would be in after a few years with the mad Marxist Milliband at the helm.Perhaps it is time the people who pay the wages of these public sector parasites through their taxes went on strike.It would then at least make it clear to everyone who makes the country function and pays the bloated moribund inefficient featherbedded public sector.

French Cojones v British Cowardice

France is to be applauded for its determined stand against Islamists re the cartoons.We here in the UK have already given up the fight and no publication will carry the depictions of the prophet (shite be upon his head). Islam is such an existential threat to civilization that it should be a near to  duty to ritually abuse,lampoon and satirize it on a daily basis but instead we cower and bend the knee to the tyrant and of course this just drives it into a frenzy of contempt and fuels its rage and its adherents up the ante and behead a British soldier in the street by way of thanks

It is far easier to glibly proclaim Je suis Charlie than to actually put it into practice be reproducing the cartoons and thus the justified charge of hypocrisy can be levelled.I have been critical about France re its claim to be defender of liberty but in this matter such a claim is more than justified.It has banned the burkah,another symbol of oppression and tyranny whilst we baulk at the idea on the totally spurious ground of civil liberties when the burkah is itself a hateful symbol of the crushing of civil liberties by reducing womankind to slavery and incarceration behind the veil.

France has complained for decades that the UK has been a safe haven for islamists,we have harboured toxic clerics and allowed islamist cells to grow like bacilli in our prisons,universities and mosques and now the chickens have come home to roost.We protected Rushdie from the fatwah but too many people who should have known better criticised him for writing Satanic Verses and this sent out a clear message that we would not stand up and defend free speech.

The reason France is better equipped to stand up against the Islamists is because it is a secular state with a constitutional protective wall between the state and religion.We have not and as a consequence we have a blasphemy law in all but name and the Christian establishment in the UK seeks the same protection from satire as the muslims do and the state has copped out to both of them on the ground of non discrimination of faith.

So they may march in solidarity today re the terrorist attacks but the above would indicate that the biggest threat to the liberty of France is not some stray Islamic head cases but  France itself.                    

Islam and Liberal Folly

The villains of the piece apart from Islam itself and the cause of its growth like a malignant cancer in the west is multiculturalism and political correctness.The left wing establishment has cow towed to minorities giving them effective untouchable status,has protected them from criticism with hate laws and curbs on free speech all in the name of tolerance and diversity.

As if all this were not bad enough we are now being told that the cause of terrorist atrocities such as in France is Edward Snowden for daring to expose what the state is doing to our personal data!We must give up yet more of our liberties in order to fight the terrorists whilst the authorities eschew profiling and put us all under suspicion.

Meanwhile toxic preachers inciting violence and fomenting terrorism are allowed to stay in the country in plain sight spewing their bile with impunity.

 

Islam the Untouchable

In Islam there is no separation of religion and state and as such Islam is a political as much as a religious construct.The fact that there is no separation of church and state in the UK complicates matters and it is shameful that this is so and disestablishment should have happened but Christianity has been through a reformation and does not pose the threat to civilization as unreformed  Islam does.

The point is that in Islam we are not only dealing with a deranged religion but a deranged political construct and whilst we may mistakenly make excuses for the first most people would not tolerate a political group with such fascist views but under the cloak or religion Islam gets away with it.This must no longer happen .It is flying under false flags.The creeping shariaisation like a slow moving cancer through Western liberal countries should have woken people up to this danger a long time ago and there are no excuses for burying our heads in the sand any longer.

The conclusion is obvious,namely that as long as Islam is unreformed it is incompatible with civilization let alone liberal democracy which puts it beyond the pale politically. In my next post I will highlight the reason we have got in this sorry mess with Islam in the West.

Empty Vassals make most noise

Islam is an assault on the mind,anti civilization,anarchic nihilism and it saw its full anti human expression in France this week.Its crazed advocates are a living contradiction in that they use the very products of the mind and civilization ie the intellectually conceived modern technology of the internet to destroy those values.They are fully cognizant with social media and use it to facilitate the havoc they wreak.They do not as the defenders of 'true' Islam seek to argue camouflage their obscene acts with religious parlance  but use the very moribund concepts of their faith to drive their actions.They are the true Islam which is why nothing but a full frontal assault on Islam will turn the tide of human misery it has set in motion.

Islam is an assault on civilization,on the human mind and until we recognise it, name it and call it out it will continue its deadly rampage in our midst and ultimately destroy us.

Taxation: Of Human Bondage

As a postscript to my Magna Farta piece a few days ago it now emerges that the document was agreed upon by the authorities on condition that taxation would be levied and accepted so we see that the much famed document on liberty that has been drooled over in hushed and sometimes noisy reverence over the centuries was no such thing as it allowed the slavery of taxation to be codified in law and so it is to this day,lending it legitimacy by association with such a hallowed document.

The longevity of a practice or tradition does not or should not lend it moral justification but as with Islam so too with taxation we find that this is far from the case and that the long passage of time does indeed furnish suspect practices with a public respectability and inviolability from criticism, acquiring the public's acceptance and acquiescence which makes the job of those who would question the morality and ethics of such things exceedingly difficult as one is fighting against centuries of entrenched custom,tradition,received wisdom and of course the powerful forces of vested interests and corrupt morribund institutions.

Widespread dissemination of facts about Islam ie Mohumud was a paedophile who would be in prison if he were alive today as he slept with an eight year old girl.He was a schizophrenic who heard vocies and beleived God was talking to him.He had epilepsy,a form of mental derangement and most of his followers seem to have the same thing.

In the wake of the atrocity in Paris yesterday comes a veritable media tsunami of cognitive dissonance,weasel words and moral funk.Already we are told that the perpetrators were doing unislamic things in the name of islam, that there must not be a backlash,Marie le Pen must not be allowed to capitalize on this tragedy -in other words the very self-same craven cowardly pusilaminous,politically correct,defeatist masochistic expressions of cultural cringe that has led to this atrocity in the first place.

This moral decadence,this wailing and gnashing of teeth,this empty show of of resistance, this flight from reality and refusal to confront the evil in its midst will be the death of western liberal society and the capitulation to the forces of darkness, the triumph of Islam in its pure unreformed evil state is the only possible outcome.

Hitler,the EU and the birth of the 4th Reich

It has been evidenced that Hitler had drawn up detailed plans for a European Union and this should be born in mind on the day Mr Cameron goes Chamberlain-like to Her Merkel in Germany to try and squeeze some pathetic concessions out of her re EU powers.He will no doubt come back waving a piece of paper saying peace in our time as Mr slippery has past form in hoodwinking the British public over the EU but it will be the usual smoke and mirrors as he has already stated that he wishes the UK to remain in the EU and this is not a credible bargaining position.

Not that we should be seeking any bargains with what is essentially a profoundly illiberal construct,a pan European quasi socialist project that strips powers away from nation states and sucks them in to a supra national centralising power with the obvious objective albeit covert of creating a super state with a totalitarian reach.

In light of German arrogance it is more likely that Herr Jackboots will send Cameron home with a flee in his ear as she knows most EU countries resent the UK for its relative success and will expect her to give him short shrift.The cold hard facts are that the hegemonistic ambitions of Germany  sees the EU as a fitting vehicle for it mission creep of regional supremacy and its desired destination of a defacto Fourth Reich .

General Election.Its Shroud waving time

5 months to go before the election and  the scare mongering, threats, and warnings have begun as the two main rival gangs trade insults over who is best to run the criminal racket called democracy and who will get to decide how to spend the plunder taken from the taxpayers.Only a masochist could derive any pleasure from such a gruesome immoral spectacle.To complete the grizzly scenario is some ritual shroud waving by Labour over the dire fate of the NHS if the tories are allowed to continue with their austerity programme.People will die!This is the best political system devised by man,underpinned by the Magna Carta apparently.Three jeers for democracy.We can do better than this.At least a vote for UKIP will shut these morribund parties up and drag them towards something approaching reality.It will not solve the problem but it will be a step in the right direction.

The Cancer of Altruism

One of the arguments people use for altruism is that respectable scientific research has shown that those  who practice it have better self esteem,are happier and healthier.From this the inference is that such a benign activity with such beneficial outcomes for both the practitioner and the recipient of altruism should be implemented by governments in the form of taxation and redistribution of wealth to provide social care and support for those in need.

 This argument musters other research that shows that people with vast wealth are not even happy and therefor to remove some of the material things that lead to unhappiness amongst the wealthy would actually benefit them as well.Leaving aside the arrant sophistry and amorality of such an argument those posing it find themselves hoist on an internal contradiction and it is this: if being altruistic makes people feel good about themselves and provides them with moral uplift then they are obviously not practicing altruism since by definition altruism is the sacrificing of the self to others and this by its very nature cannot but be painful,unpleasant,incurring loss and suffering to the person who has sacrificed their well being to others.If it makes them feel good about themselves it is contrary to the very spirit and essence of altruism and is thus clearly not altruism as there is a selfish motive behind it namely to make the doer of good deeds feel good about themselves.

As altruism is clearly impossible to practice without complete anhiliation of the self it is obvious what the motive of those who argue for it is, namely, nihilism,the destruction of all values,the dehumanisation of man,the enslavement of all to all in an infinite spiral  of self immolation and death.

Magna Farta

Magna Carta, what's all the fuss about? It sounds like it was some stitch-up with monarchy that had precious little to do with defense of individual rights which was an alien concept back then and is given scant regard now.Expect to hear loads of liberals extolling its virtues which is a sure sign that it had not much to do with liberty as they all favour a big state that smothers the life and independence out of the people.

The dead give away is the reference in the Magna Carta to taxation as something that must not be levied except with 'common consent'.What the hell does that mean? It is the get out clause to raise taxes as long as some people agree that taxes will be raised which is exactly the liberal argument for taxes today.Weasel words,common consent have allowed governments down the centuries to tyrannize at will always claiming it is what the majority want.The Magna Cart has blighted the country by pretending to be a document securing the rights of the people thus making a written constitution redundant.We have seen the results as the last vestiges of our freedom have been wittled away.

What is the greatest threat to the human race

Is it ebola or islamism, two admittedly deadly viruses? Whilst they  pose a serious danger I believe the  threat they present pales into insignificance compared to that of the deadly philosophy of altruism and its concomittant, statism.This threatens to bring about a descent into global totalitarianism as all the pieces are in place - from the erosion of liberty,political correctness and an ever encroaching state which effects every so called free nation on earth to varying degrees and levels of progression.

 Just as it was philosophy which created civilization and allowed mankind to crawl out of the darkness of superstition and irrationality to rise towards the sunny uplands of the enlightenment, it will be bad philosophy that will destroy it and push it back into the pit of darkness,slavery and oppression.Whilst mankind rose upwards via the enlightenment it remains a fact that the baleful effect of religion casts it shadow on his ascent and in its secular version of altruistic statism threatens to drag him backwards into the self immolation and slavery of totalitarianism.

Unless man can break the bonds of serfdom by throwing off the shackles of an atavistic altruistic mentality he will again hurtle back to the past of the dark ages where mankind dwelt,in the black pit of slavery, reduced to the pitiful choice of being devoured by others or seeking whom he may devour.

Can't Pay? Take it anyway

The US reality show Bait Car where police entrapment of auto thieves shows them leaving a car unattended with keys in the ignition and waiting for an opportunist criminal to hop in to the driving seat and take off is instructive in revealing the moral wasteland inhabited by the crooks who only hesitate to seize the vehicle long enough to ensure that they can get away with it.

The range of the moment instant gratification mentalities of the criminals who are being videoed in the car has a  comical side especially when the police sirens start wailing and the looks on their faces turn from thrill and elation to glum and stunned surprise as it dawns on them that they are headed for another spell in jail, but it illustrates the unthinking impulse driven delinquent entitlement culture of the criminal underworld.

This same entitlement culture is on display in a UK prog entitled Can't Pay?We'll Take it Away about enforcement officers who collect unpaid debt but in the prog I saw about squatters who had taken over a large office complex and caused 100,000 of damage the interesting aspect was how they believed they had a right to do what they were doing,because the welfare state had taught them that they were owed a living and sheltered accommodation.They had none of their own so it was perfectly natural that they should seize someone else's property and claim it as their own.The shocking thing is that they were allowed to walk away presumably to find another property to ransack and appropriate when they really should have been arrested for theft and criminal damage and thrown in jail.Proof if proof were needed that socialism and the welfare state teaches people that they should be paid for existing and if they do not have what is their god given right they should seize it from others.

Churchill's U turn

Although excoriating socialism in all its works in 1945 Chuchill like a true conservative decided to accommodate this Nazi like evil and by 1951 when his party won back power from Labour he more or less continued with the socialist experiment on the British people, even increasing spending on the NHS and no attempt was made to reverse all the nationlisations that had occurred under the previous administration.It had to wait till 1979 before a tory leader in the shape of the redoubtable Thatcher reversed some of these catastrophic state controls, the intervening years seeing successive conservative governments continuing this appeasement and accommodation of socialism.

If ever proof were needed that in order to confront an ideology you need an ideology to do it this was it.The cowering tory pragmatists of the 50s and 60s were no match for the rabid ideologues of  Labour.So terrified of being accused of having an ideology to this day the tories will insist on being pragmatists as if this were any virtue when in fact it is responsible for destroying the freedom and liberty of the British people by refusing to offer an alternative to the toxic socialism of its supposed opponents.

This timorous cowardly refusing to confront the evil of the Left has had disastrous consequences in particular re the NHS and State education to this very day and continues to corrupt the polity.  

Public FArt

It is always grimly amusing to pop in to my local 'art' gallery to see the displays of vomit on the walls and the public earnestly trooping though to gawp bemusedly at the embarassing apoligies for art.Some of it is mild lefty agit prop,almost all of it is the product you would expect to see adorning the walls of a lunatic asylum.

At the foot of these visual excrescences is invariably some text by the artist by way of  intellectual justification or explanation and these make as much sense as the work itself and fittingly are right out of pseud's corner.All this may seem innocuous enough, a sort of employment programme for those with special needs but it is really a serious assault on cognition, cultural vandalism and tyranny.This is what happens when art is subsidised at a point of a gun directed at taxpayer's heads.It is the art nobody wants and hence the coercion to make them pay for it.

The Thatcher Frit

Recently opened government papers under the 30 year rule have revealed that the Margaret Thatcher revolution came to a juddering halt at the gates of State education and one paper dealing with possible privatisation or radical reform of the state system was marked in favour of maintaining the nationlisation of education.

This may have been the greatest failure of her rule as if real change is to be effected in a country's culture it begins with education and as a result of her unwillingness to confront the issue more generations have been blighted by the bankruptcy of the state education system which should have been completely opened up to the market to bring innovation  and academic rigour into the schools and to smash the union ideological hegemony in the classroom with the catastrophic results that have accrued.

We see the same hesitancy and loss of will over the NHS which Thatcher avowed was 'safe in her hands' and the disasters which that failure have brought in their train to know that the much famed radicalism of Thatcher had its severe limitations and that her tenure was more often characterised by caution than is generally appreciated.

The Black Racism of Lenny Henry

There is something redundant about inviting left wing personalities to guest produce the radio Four Today programme as it is clearly produced by such types the year round but anyway Lenny Henry went the whole hog and insisted that all the journalists on his watch today would be, as it is preciously put 'of colour'.

The programme was a predictable ghoulash of political correctness.But here is the thing.What the positive discrimination arguers like him fail to recognise is that hiring someone because of the colour of their skin is just as racist as Not hiring someone because of the colour of their skin.Such black racism is actually worse than the common garden racism because it is perpetrated by the victims of racism themselves - an almighty own goal of epic proportions.At a stroke the moral high ground is abandoned and the ugly face of racism and its roots in collectivism is exposed and one injustice is substituted for an another.

Martin Luther King's invocation to judge people not by the colour of their skin but the content of their character is forgotten and the ugly face of black racism is enthroned in its place.It is to be hoped that most people will reject the backward black quota ideas of Lenny Henry for the vile irrational immoral racist policies that they are.Shame on the BBC for sinking to new lows.

Liberty and its false defenders

Watching a  a speech David Davies gave on the history of British liberty I was struck by his omissions and his conflation of liberty with democracy.This is really one to watch as it is common and cannot possibly be accidental as it is so patently erroneous.

A system where a man can vote to have his neighbour's property and income purloined through taxation is one where liberty has long fled and yet repeatedly the liberty /democracy conflation is articulated in the correct assumption that this package deal will go undetected so embedded through repetition are the democracy worshiping incantations, inducing in the listener   the effect of near hypnotic subliminal programming.

Mr Davies completely omitted from his near hour long discourse any mention of taxation - in a speech on liberty!God, or someone defend us from false defenders of liberty such as he.

The Living =Dying Wage

The fantasyland inhabited by the Living Wage protaganists is brought into sharp relief with economic reality this week as the package firm City Link announced it is closing down and the unions are predictably seeking government bailout of the beleaguered firm.The idiotic Vince Cable has been appealed to and asked to intervene but as his grasp of economics and business is practically zero there will be no  enlightenment from that quarter.

The cold hard facts are these,namely that companies are weighed down by taxes and regulation and the result is not a living wage or even a minimum wage no but no wage at all.The unions will continue to huff and puff and no doubt Mr Cable will make all the sympathetic noises and stand on his hind legs and bemoan the capitalist system but it is his statist policies which have driven City link and many others to the wall.1970's style state intervention in the economy via wage fixing and government second guessing the economy was a bad bad failed policy then and it is being replicated now and the only solution is free market capitalism with no government intervention in the economy which alone will give companies like City Link a fighting chance. (But no one hold their breath of course).

Islam the cult of death

A religion founded on a plagiarism of a plagiarism of a plagiarism,that urges its members to kill others of the same religion but who follow a variant therof,blows up mosques,beheads people,rapes and pillages across the world and whose founder was an epileptic shepherd who slept with an 8 year old girl,Islam the cult of death deserves no respect and deserves only contempt but is treated sympathetically  by the very people who claim to be fighting a war against terrorism.It would take our freedom away with mass surveillance whilst tolerating in its midst those who would seek to destroy us.The war on terror is a lie and Islam the cancer that seeks to devour us all is allowed to flourish unchecked.2015 and the age of barbarism is upon us.

Socialism and its true intent

When people are prepared to sacrifice liberty for security they end up with neither.This much repeated quote reminds me of a letter Churchill's daughter sent him in response to his attack on socialism as referenced in my last post.She argued that as state control had been so effective in winning the war against Hitler why should it not be mobilised to win the peace and bring social security to the British people?

 I do not know what his response was if any to this but for my part I would say that when socialists draw a picture of what they would like to do for people in their interests it always sounds benign and innocuous as it is couched in such terms but this conceals to the untutored the means by which such a 'fair' and equitable state of affairs will be achieved,namely through state coercion,erosion of liberty, the trampling of individual  rights and a mass leveling down by which the most competent and able are  reduced to the same level of helplessness via state incursion on their freedoms as that of the most helpless individuals in society.

So to say that  Miss Churchill's comments were  disengenuous about the intentions of the socialists is too generous and that what the left do in general is seek to conceal their totalitarian impulses under a sugar coating of bromide euphemism and baby talk.

Churchill's Warning

In 1945 after  leading the victory against German socialism Churchill warned the British people of the dangers of English socialism via a general election win by the Labour party but they were drunk on victory and brushed aside his prophetic warnings.Chiefly he asserted that socialism was totalitarian in nature and that a socialist win would necessitate a stripping away of much fought for liberties going back centuries and that a police state eg a gestapo. would be required to maintain it.

He was scorned and Labour, led by the appropriately Lenin lookalike  Clem Atlee won a landslide victory and proceeded to nationalise all privately run businesses:energy,coal mines,health service etc.The State grew alarmingly and exponentially bigger than any time in Britsh history,taxes rose and liberty became a long distant memory.Gulled by a hideously distorted romantic view of Soviet Russia the Britsh people slowly but surely became socialised subjects,supplicants of a burgeonining state efectively selling their souls for a pair of nation health spectacles.

By the time people realised the horrors and truth of the Soviet system they were hoplessly ensnared in a socialist web of their own weaving and it was impossible to extricate themselves.Soviet invasion was not required for the British people had done it to themselves.

May the British people finally wake up to the absurdity of having a monarchy in the 21st century and divest themselves of this parasitic institution with its hangers on and  cease its fawning over this degenerate dysfunctional family with its entitlement welfare mentality.Selling off its possession and property bought with blood and tears and plunder over the centuries would pay off 7 billion of the national debt and free the country of its oppressive history and its forelock tugging obesiance to tyranny which the monarchy  is a symbol of today albeit in its delimited  form today. The mad would be king Charles with his eco obsessions and pro muslim sentiments has spent most of his adult life meddling in British politics and must not be allowed to assume the throne so it is essential for the monarchy to be dissolved before this happens.

Religion and its philosophical base

If a religious leader makes a speech on world affairs pretty much without exception its contents can be predicted as they follow a familiar trajectory unchanged for centuries and will contain certain elements varying only in minor deviations and detail as befits the events of the day.The unerring message will be that the problems of the world can only be addressed by unselfishness,self sacrifice,charity,love and that, translated into politics, this will entail:collectivism,socialism,redistribution of wealth,repudiation of profit, and all of this will be interlarded with an assault on private enterprise,attacks on individualism,materialism and the intellect.This was pretty much the message that the pope delivered in the EU parliament recently and needless to say it was met with rapturous applause.This phenomenon described can be the cause of only two things.Either this is a misrepresentation of the true message of Christianity on the part of the pope and this seems unlikely as he is a learned man or the very essence and philosophy of christianity is pure unadulterated evil.Assuming it is the latter then we need to examine what is at the heart of this philosophy which is common it must be said across all the main religions and probably all the other lesser known religions as well.The essence or base of this philosophy is of course altruism -the idea that humans beings exist not for their own hapiness and fulfillment but for that of  others who they must sacrifice  to and this and this alone is the only purpose to their life.And the only possible political translation of this philosophy is collectivism,the common good for whom individuals are to be sacrificed.All goverments justify their social programmes by the altruist code of self sacrifice invoking its religious roots and it is the prevailing ideology of the age and indeed most past ages.This is the moral evil that has to be confronted and it can only be done on philosophical grounds as this is the battle ground the collectivist have chosen to wage their war for centuries on man and the individualism that stands in their way to complete tyranny.

Statism versus the non- coercive State

When discussing the evils of statism with folk the standard response is 'so you are an anarchist then?' as if the only solution to an over bearing state were no state at all.The majority of such respondents say this out of genuine confusion but others deploy such an argument as a smear to deter people from exploring alternatives to statism.The answer to statism is a limited state,a capitalist system under the rule of objective law and moreover - and this is the essential element of the dynamic - a state funded by voluntary contribution,voluntary taxation if you will, thus removing the coercive element of taxation which is theft by the state.The state is not a necessary evil but a necessary good.Unlike most libertarians and anarchists the state is not viewed with hostility as something to be abolished but as the essential safeguard of freedom liberty and the rule of law within a capitalist system.The state has a monopoly of force and without it the anarchy witnessed in some african states and parts of the middle east would prevail.Imagine rival police forces and militias and rival legal systems fighting it out on the streets and you begin to see the anarchy and mayhem that would result from competing legal and police forces.

Torture. So What

The liberal's much ventilated and public angst over the torture by western governments of suspected islamic terrorists speaks not to their virtue but their moral decadence.In war the objective is to win as expeditiously as possible in the shortest amount of time with the least number of casualties to one's own side by whatever means available including torture.The notion of applying queensberry rules to Isis is beyond the absurd.The goal should be to terrorise the terrorists.Even friends trot out the argument that to use the same methods as the enemy is to be no better than the enemy but even a cursory examination of this argument is to expose its fallacious not to say immoral nature.It is immoral because it covertly and sinuously seeks to obliterate the moral distinction between the perpetrator of violence and the victim.By the very act of daring to retaliate against the perpetrator the victim condemns himself to moral equivalence with the perpetrator.One only has to ask who benefits from such a rationalisation to see the evil of it.If by the very act of retaliating against an agressor the victim is rendered   automatically immoral the only outcome is paralysis of the victim and the triumph of the criminal.Hence the moral evil and depravity of the liberal argument that to fight the terrorists with their own weapons is to be no better than the terrorists.The only possible outcome can be victory of the terrorists and the end of freedom which is what we can observe on the world stage today.
