CBB Update (More Intellectual Slumming 'Fraid..)

Dirk made an interesting observation. All the strife in the BB house has been caused by the women. They edited him out sharp after that. No doubt he would have ellaborated. But it sufficed. That man is so smart. He is a typical American who in a few words can sum up the whole situation with wit and panache. A Brit would take half an hour to do so and not be half as trenchant.

Virgin On Greatness

Just had a guided tour of Richard Branson's Desert Island (on TV! - Cribs). He pointed out that as he had a successful hit from Janet? Jackson or the Rolling Stones he would add new buildings to his retreat. He built his citadel on Rockn' Roll... But it got me thinking about the money- making personality and what it requires. Obviously drive and ambition. But what ingredient is so present in Branson and his ilk but is so absent in all others? Don't pretend to have any answers but spirit of adventure would come into it. Upbringing. He got lots of encouragement from his family who were all somewhat eccentric individuals. Single mindedness, tick.

Personality also. I think he is a people-person. Someone sent me a business flyer and on it is a quote from Jim Rohn. " You cannot succeed by yourself. It's hard to find a rich hermit." Howard Hughes? But he became a hermit After.

Thinking 'outside the box'. Tick. Restlessness. What is that man running from?! I don't think he sits still for that long.. A sort of nervous energy. An antipathy to formal education. Was regarded as a bit of a dunce academically and 'dyslexic'. Imagine if he had gone to university! It trains out all the entrepreneurial spirit.

Informality He is not a suit. Unconventional. Contemptuous of sclerotic business institutions who seek via legislation and big government to elbow out competition. Delegation. Faith Healing?

Another blogger has cheekily suggested that aetheist get preferential treatment on the NHS becuase not believing or anticipating a afterlife this present life is all they will be getting and so they deserve the best here and now. Their religious counterparts will get their reward in paradise.

I responded by pointing out that the aetheists probably get the lion 's share of NHS treatment already as being Godless, faithless and wordly they will be more subject to worldy diseases. Just consider. The believer is far less likely to need NHS services for alcohol, nicotine or drug related ailments.

If he truly understands his religion he will be less prone to anger and violence thus avoiding its attendant injuries. He will not have high blood pressure, suffer diabetes, strokes, heart attacks. Opportunistic stress related disease like cancer will be far less likely. Being more conscious the believer is less likely to have accidents car related or otherwise. Being of sunnier hoepful disposition depression will not be so probable, or mental illness. Not being pervert sodomites believers will not require expensive drugs to keep their well earned HIV Aids at bay. Nor will they have abortions .

In short the NHS is for the walking wounded, the aetheists sick in mind and spirit. Let them pay for it.

Prison Reform

1. Don't call 10 years 'Life'. The word must be banished. At sentencing transparency must be paramount. Call it 10 years or whatever. Not 'Life'. This Alice in Wonderland approach to language in the criminal justice (ahem) system is part of the cancer that corrodes public trust.

2. NO OXYMORONS! ie, 'Open Prisons'. (This is really connected to 1. It that pesky language thing again). Murderers are placed in these 'open prisons' - and guess what? THEY ESCAPE! They rape, murder and they have offences of telephone number proportions. They haven't even served half their 'life' sentence!

3. Don't talk about 'returning criminals to civilian life'. THEY HAVE NEVER LEFT IT! They have more home comforts that your average tax paying Brit. (Ian Huntley has a DVD player. I don't!)

4. Don't talk about taking into consideration 'good behaviour'. Hello? Lets see if we can 'unpick' this. If Mr Criminal doesn't smash up his cell and attack other prisoners or wardens he wil be let out early? Where I come from we call this blackmail.

5. Get the psychobabblers and social worker wet nurses/enablers out of the judicial system. Their job appears to be to rationalise and excuse criminal behaviour with social worker mumbo jumbo. They are parasites on the system. What used to be called evil behaviour is now excused away as an illness.

6. No conjugal visits. (I don't get them!)

7. No drugs. We can send men to the moon but we can't stop criminals taking drugs?

8. No studying for sociology degrees. Let them sew mail bags.

9. No vists from imams for muslim criminals. (It reinforces their criminal mindset.)

10 Purge the judiciary of liberal judges.

11. NEVER allow criminals to vote!

12 Build more prisons! Use the money that is at present squandered on 'the Arts'. Or lottery money. Or sack some government bureaucrats.

Why We Don't Need Coolie Immigration

We have, by this government's own admission one million people sitting idle on 'disability' benefits. What a disgrace. Same thing happened with immigration in the 50's which opened the floodgates. Taxman

Can't put it off any longer. I have got to do my tax return. (On Monday!) Or rather get an accountant to do it for me because I cannot understand the forms. That'll cost me £80. Even though I barely worked that period I've still got to have the thing filled in. (That's if I am not too late for the deadline when there will be a fine of £100 I think.)

Although I worked for a company they made me self employed. So they don't have to fill in the forms. Why don't all companies do that? It would save them a lot of bureaucracy. Perhaps it was because mine was commission only. Whatever. I don't blame the company for doing that. I do of course blame the government for making me do their work for them. I am not a bureaucrat. Perhaps they would like to come and dig my garden? Oh I forgot. They don't work. They prey on those who do...

Socialism Cannot Be Reformed

The great Doctor Crippen thinks it can on his NHS blog. He might just as well try to put a plaster on a tumor. The Thatcherite atempts at reform were a mistake precisely for this reason. Methadone In Their Madness

Following on from the previous post there was another reality prog last night, on I think ch 4, (can't rember the title) that perfectly illustrates the points made on said post. Here they had a Big Brother scenario where people are placed in a hermetically sealed controlled artificial environment and promised a large sum of money. They all have to give reasons why they think they most deserve to get it.

I only saw a fraction of this odious prog but got the gist of it. A homosexual (token -actually there were two) insisted that a Lapdancer was the most deserving and the group then proceeded to have bitter arguments over the issue. High moral postions were assumed and no one had the ethical perspective to recognise that not one of them deserved this unearned largesse. Morover they were incapable of seeing what a corrupting effect the mere hint or possibility of receiveing the unearned had had on them and their behaviour.

The fact that TV companies are prepared to place people in such compromising and degrading situations for pure greed and larcenous motives and that they can find willing participants in such a degrading dehumanising excercise is a sad commentary on the moral state of the nation eh what?

Secret Millionaire

They go undercover posing as Joe Public eking out a living on the dole, mixing with the underclass whilst really being multi millionaires. Their objective is to find worthy recipients of their dough. A reality programme I find engrossing and instructive. At the end of their stay they reveal their true status and hand out largish cheques to their chosen recipients.

This week the chap was a plain speaking Conservative voting businessmen who dismissed all of the doleites as the parasites they undoubtedlty are. He was not going to give them any more unearned dosh. Just like Government huh?

He eventually found a few deserving hard working people, one a recent refugee and also, (perhaps dubiously), he contributed to an asylum refuge. The point is clear however. Where individuals can discriminate between the worthy and unworthy, deserving and undeserving poor, benevolence has true value and purpose. When governments get in on the act the results are almost always deleterious not to say catastrophic - socially, economically, politically and morally.

They must be tortured to death! I have been thinking since yesterday of different forms of torture that would be befitting them. Something that lasts for years. Creative suggestions are welcome. We can all remember teachers who seemed to relish making us feel stupid with their 'superior knowledge' ( all got from books and learned parrot fashion of course).

Children can be scarred for life from such malign influence. Very often the teachers are little more than Socialist change-agents engaged in robbing the child of its spirit, soul and individuality under the dark satanic sway of Socialist mind control. Their job is to instill doubt in the minds of their young charges, filling their heads with useless and pointless knowledge, raping their souls with perverted sex education and politcal correctness - polite communism/groupthink.

People who send their children to government school should know that there is a very real possibility that they are the hapless charges of classroom Himmlers.

Truancy rates higher than ever - tens of millions of pounds spent on programmes to cut truancy notwithstanding, children being stabbed and murdered in schools, bullying rife, subjects and exams dumbed down, drug culture within schools burgeoning, police called in to keep the peace, teachers drowned in bureaucracy - who said the State can't get things right?

Homes schooling is on the increase and small wonder. The sound of liberal chickens coming home to roost is deafening. And what is the government's solution? (Wait for it, roll of drums) Raise the school leaving age to 18! And send even more illiterate innumerate youths to university.

Why do people drink was the question posed and one comment - that the drinker is seeking to drown his inner gremlins came pretty close to an answer. Victims of past abuse can temporarlily blotto out painful memories but they end up pickling themselves in a agonised protracted slow motion suicide rout. Others resort to different forms of self medication such as legal or illegal drugs -all with the same woeful result: chemical psychosis, disease and death.

Denial may be a river in Egypt but its pellets of posion are flooding our waters and there is always payback time when the chickens of denial come home to roost.

The cost to the NHS in hospitalising these walking wounded scarred human beings is phenomenal and the institution is at the sharp end, left to patch up as best it can the car wreck lives of people unable to address their inner demons.

What is old peculiar to the British people that makes them so prone to this insane solution and failed salve to the human condition? Could it be the social autism, residue of the stiff upper lip repressive anal conditioning that renders the average Brit tongue tied and awkward without the liquid sollution to oil the social wheels?

Moreover, what deeper causes lead people to act in such a self destructive fashion in the first place? People do not suddenly become drunks over night. Childhood issues and bad parenting obviously play a key part. Very often the most intelligent people are alcoholics and cannot stand the phoniness of the adult world, its hyposcrisy and plasticity. They seek refuge from the horrors of 'reality' in alcoholic haze. As the great Keith Moon once said drink 'gives you a pleasant blur'.

An improper resonse to the stress of human cruelty - which is really another fancy word for evil - is a capitulation to that evil whereby the victim becmes an extension of the will of his tormentor - usually a 'loving' parent. Now the victim is seen to be the one with the problem and the people who projected their problems onto him the innocent party. What a fiendish and devilish plot!

Rewind the tape at this point of the psychodrama and imagine a scenario whereby the victim is given to know that such a dynamic is in play and doesn't respond to the temptation of doubt and hate and resentment in the face of such cruelty but remains unmoved and unfazed. Where does the projected poison go but back to its source - the poisoners who are thus hoist on their own peturd.

Human beings are thus the battle ground upon which the ancient struggle between good and evil are fought. Free will gives us the choice to decide whether we shall be the victims of evil or its vanquishers.

How Do They Do It?!

So Radio Four does a programme ostensibly about a woman whose child was brutally raped. Feargul Keane is the host and the series is about brave people who make a decision to stand up and be counted in the community. So far, so fair. But here comes the twist. In the town where the heinious crime was commited by foreign youths the BNP used the story in their promotional literature to highlight the problem of crime cuased by immigrants.. The mother of the victim is outraged and decides to stand in the local elections to challenge them.

She is not outraged at the perpetrators of this obscene crime. She is outraged by the BNP. Here is a story the BBC cannot resist and has no doubt done its part to spin. Foraging around for sticks to beat the BNP with is hardly within the Reithian remit but that was violated a long time ago. Fresh from its ignominous defeat where it tried to expose the BNP by secretly recording their speeches in a pub recently the BBC remains undaunted and is back on its mission to smear the only political party that has some ideas about giving this country back to its owners.

In yet another radio4 prog with Andrew Marr the chap was slavering over David Frost who is working for Al Jazeera. Pity Bush didn't land a hit on the station -when Frost was in it. That would have been the week that was. Also one on Bush House please.

Ian Hislop had an interesting prog about going in search of Middle England. He met some chavs hanging around a street corner with the obligatory pittbull straining at the leash. They were asked their opinions of the local grammar schooll pupils and one of the chavs complained that they thought they were superior and looked down on them. Well if you choose to dwell in the gutter dear chavs, people will look down on you. Why not try and ape your betters by raising your game and applying yourselves to life instead of hanging round street corners getting into trouble.

At least the Middle Classes do something with their lives and give something back - apart from extortionate taxes, they give their time to help the less advantaged - and as the Hislop programme made abundantly clear, have been doing so for centuries.

The only mistake they made - and it was a colossal one - was to allow the State with their collusion to take over the humanitarian impulse and Stalinise it via the Welfare State. Misguided middle class intellectuals created a rod for their own backs and now it is all but broken.

Using your own civilians as human shields is just about as low as it is possible to get in a war situation. The Palestinians did it at the weekend by herding men women and children to the home of a known terrorist after Israel announced in advance by phone that his house was going to be destroyed. What other so-called aggressor would give prior warning of attack?

Israel of course, being a human and civilised State, called off the attack as it was not prepared to countenance the death of innocent parties.

The way this story was reported on the World Service BBC was of course very different. It was presented as a victory for the Palestinians who were again presented as the victims even though there have been apparentloy 900 attacks by them on Israel this year.

It seems there is now no depths to which the MSM will not sink in order to portray the Palestinians in a positive light, no pretzellogic it will not indulge in, no moral summersaults or hare brained ratiocinations it will not deploy to invert the simple plain truth, namely that the Palestinians are an artificially created construct, pawns in the pan Arab game of destruction of Israel and for that cause it is quite prepared to sacrifice the welfare, existence and survival of the very people it claims to have most concern for: the 'palestinians' themselves.

On another R4 prog yesterday I discovered a new virulent strain of political correctness which I have coined 'Gender Cringe'. Michael? Dobbs and some left wing 'comedian' were running down men - all it seemed to me - to cravenly curry favour with a fellow female guest. It was embarrassing and an inverted form of sexism or gender stereotyping whereby in order to show your right-on feminist credentials you masochistically run down your own gender.

Rather than making women think men are becoming senesitive it is more likely to have the opposite effect and make them even more contemptible in their eyes.

Imagine if you are walking along the street and see a man who was responsible for butchering your family or friends and he had a car and a good job,walking around a free person. Figes - Near Flawless Masterpiece

I have just read Orlando Fige's classic history of the Russian Revolution, The People's Tragedy. I wanted to give a brief comment review on Amazon but after doing so and attempting to post it I found out I had to register by giving my credit card details so as I do not trust online credit dealings I have decided to post it here instead rarther than bin it:


This is a classic - as big as its subject but well worth the long haul (over 800 pages). Having just finished it I almost want to start all over again...

My only caveat is that the author is handicapped by his left-leaning sympathies and is prepared to give the architects of Sovietism the benefit of the doubt vis a vis their good intentions whilst not extending the same to their Janus faced collectivist counterparts of Fascism. (Neither of course deserving such 'understanding')

Such a horrible lesson of history should be read by all those who still hanker romantically for collectivist solutions to human problems. One fears such people driven as they are by blind and near theological love of Statism will alas be immune to this monumental exposure of human stupidity.

Radio four did a programme the other day about Communism and the Jewish connection. True that many jews were early adherents perhaps in the misguided notion that it was all about humanitarianism. Red Ken said on the Today programme Radio Four that views should be discarded when coming from 'White Old Males'. In one short sentence he mangaged to be Racist, Ageist and Sexist.By his own perverted PC creed he has committed three heresies in one sentence.

After yesterday's story about the girl thrown in a prison cell for her complaint about being placed in a school group where the other children coudn't speak English, Livingston's broadcast to the nation should result in throwing away the key.

This specimen of fecal matter should be hoist on his own peturd and newtered once and for all.

Is This The Nadir?

A girl complains to her teacher that she has been placed in a group of children to discuss a topic in class and none of said pupils can speak english. The teacher cries racism and the girl ends up in a police cell for three hours having been told to take off her jewelry and shoelaces.

Outrage of course. Probably the very worst story I have ever heard about abuse of police powers. So much so that I am grappling for words to express the sheer insanity of this case as reported in the Mail today.

I'd like to think the school authorities and the police in question would be publically pilloried and thrown out of their jobs. But unless there is a concerted move by all parents it will probably be forgotten and by default tolerated. One more step on the long path to totalitarianism which we seem to be treading in somnambulism.

The latest legislation making it illegal to hire or fire according to age is another nail in the coffin of the so called private sector. There is nothing private about it, it has become the public property of the Corporate Fascist State.

But what is her background? Pure corporate. She has never run her own business, unlike the now maligned winner whose name escapes me who was sucessful at 24 with said business. No, she has climbed the corporate ladder, ( no doubt Badgering her way up the slimy pole),and then gone on TV. No Branson she. She may go on to great things, but we are in danger of confusing reality TV show fame with entrepreneurism and that can only be harmful.

Yesterday his listeners on Talksport were invited to 'look back in anger' over the Thatcher years. They duly obliged. And then some. At one point amongst the many catalogued failures of Thatcherism Gorge included the tories 'care in the commnunity' programme. As many of those released from mental hospitals onto our streets semed to be phoning in and sending him texts and emails , perhaps he was right on that one.

Still, it is not a good look. No sir. Listening in last night was like being a fly on the wall of a mental asylum where all the inmates think they are Napoleon. A hermitically sealed 'conversation' was going on with its own internal logic, rules and language than which nothing could penetrate. Horrifying yet strangely fascinating.

Of course, as someone here recently pointed out, one takes one's sanity in one's hands just listening to this sort of thing. But someone's got to do it. Like keeping the sewers clean, scraping human remains off motorways, the twitching corpse of leftism has to be observed and monitored and the findings subjected to analysis for the health and future survival of the human race. Tesco: Why Some Hate It

The anti Tesco brigade were out in force on radio 5 this morning. The same tired old arguments were trotted out in what was obviously an orchestrated campaign of phoning in.

A profile of the antis would probably go like this: lefty, Guardianista, anti capitalist/ free market/ enterprise/ pro -managed socialist economy. Except of course the antis never come clean about their true agendas. They throw up a smoke screen of false manipulated bogus economic figures and sophistries.

Fortunately there was a strong spokesman for Tesco who was able to rebutt the nonsense they were spouting despite some failed attempts on their part to shout him down. The aggression and hostility coming from these callers was the tell- tale sign of their leftist disposition, the desperate resorting to hooligan tactics.

The same Leftist suspects operate in the US with their remorseless hate campaign against Wallmart. I think the general public which supports Tesco and the amazing shopping experience it provides are beginning to see through these activists and their real ugly motives.

Look at what happens when the State runs things -NHS and Education. The above described people would like to see Tescos run similarly. Wating lists for basic foodstuffs, Moscow Soviet breadlines. Apples and pears? Come back in six months.....

Bi Polar Bears No Scrutiny

Stephen Fry, who I have to acknowledge is quite the most charming and greatly gifted fellow has been on a two part BBC documentary about manic depression, now called bi polar disorder. Most patients of this condition are on permanent medication with lithium etc to keep the extreme manic symptoms at bay.

I am not so sure deploying psychobabble terms such as bi polar, attention deficit syndrome etc to mental states is at all helpful. Very often it obscures the matter and renders it harder to address.

What in the past would have been understood as common garden anger, rage, resentment, self pity, petulance is given a pseudo scientific name and thus excused. The person is no longer responsible for their infantile regressive delinquency and becomes a victim. Thus is a vice transformed into a virtue.

This is good business for the legions of psychobabblers and quacks and the legions in pharmaceutical industry pedalling their chemical coshes but it is nothing short of disastrous for society with its moral compass smashed and its worst vices pathologised away.

Socialism and its Malcontents

Speaking to a friend today who I respect in many ways, we got on to the subject of inherited wealth, specifically re houses. My friend expressed vehement opposition to the idea of handed- down wealth. Right there I sort of got the whole picture of the socialist mindset - the hatred of achievement, the hatred of progress, the desire to make every year year zero, no building on the past, or respect for the past, a sort of mindless worship of regression, atavism and primitivism.

Civilisation is built on progressive steps by the generations towards self improvement and realisation. Each successive generation improves on the last, hands down its collective wisdom, passes on the baton to the next, wishes it a better life than it had, in an ever evolving vertical direction.

What does socialism proffer by way of an alternative? An appropriation of wealth and achivement and its redistibution to the non producers, the non achievers, all in a perverted, inverted, etiolated, anti concept of egalitarianism, which divested of its conceits and evasions is little more than plunder and larceny.

Envy of achievement is always disguised as a virtue, a desire to help the unfortunate. Except it never rings true. You don't have to talk to people with such views for long to see that they are consumed with hatred for those who have managed to achieve a modicum of material assets and want nothing more than to divest them of those things in order to mitigate their own sense of failure.

I haven't heard his speech yet but no doubt it is already being bottled for sale as a cure for insomnia. X Factor Upturns A Can Of Worms

Why does the X Factor make for such compulsive viewing? Perhaps because of the sheer self dellusion exhibited by so many of the contestants when confronted with their patent inability to sing. When they come before the judges it is probably the first time in their life they have been subjected to an impartial and brutally frank assessment of their performance -in any field. It is a cultural shock they are simply not equipped to handle.

In the 'all must have prizes' ethos of the state education system these youngsters have been sold such a bill of gooods about their inherent worth, been given such unconditional approval totally divorced from any concept of merit or earned value that they simply cannot take on board any criticism whatsoever. Every comment is met with petulance, disbelief, rage and tantrums.

Hence the compulsive viewing syndrome where the viewer is transfixed by the sheer trainwreck he is confronted with, of people so at odds with reality that the disjunct between it and their delusions provides vast scope for amusement and hillarity.

The government of course breeds this climate of malign egalitariansim. 'No child left behind' captures it perfectly. Imagine a race where that is the objective. It could only ever be realised by handicapping the most able, by holding them back. A level playing field becomes code word for equality of outcome.

Oliver Wants More

I know some of my fellow bloggers disagree with me on this one but I think Jamie Oliver is the best thing since sliced (organic) bread.They claim he his part of the Nanny State but it is not so. If they want to feed their kids processed slurry that is their affair but it shouldn't be part of the school menu.

Just as we have every right to object to the poison the schools are feeding children's minds - the left wing ideology and political correctness - we should be equally concerned about the poison they are feeding their bodies.

Musings

It is a sobering thought that literacy rates were higher over a hundred years ago in the UK before education was seized by the State and Nationalised. It is a mystery why so many still cling to the belief that Nanny knows best and we should leave it to the State to run education. Perhaps it is simply that people have become so dumbed down by state education and cannot consequently think clearly about anything anymore.

It could also be the gambling syndrome. Addicts will repeatedly return to the roulette wheel even though every past experience should have taught them that they cannot beat the wheel .One more throw should do it. Likewise the State keeps on failing them and not delivering but they keep on coming back to it with their false expectations. We have all become State junkies. What do they say about madness ? - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Clearly when it comes to finding ways of ridding the West of the scourge of Islam we should be limited only by our imaginations!
