Taxation was at a staggering 98%.Britain was on the verge of a Communist coup led by far left Labour party/ Soviet funded trade unions.The troops were at the ready to topple the Wilson government and restore Democracy.I was busy playing with my toy soldiers at the time and listening to Alan Freeman Hit parade on radio one. We did live in exciting times even if some of us were otherwise engaged.
The BBC covered this story last night and it was truly spooky to see how close this country came to being taken over by Communist soviet backed insurgents in the Wilson government.Lord Mountbatten was waiting in the wings to restore Democracy with the army poised and awaiting orders.Fortunately the Conservatives won the election and Thatcher smashed the commie unions and we all lived happily ever after.It was a close one though.The Scargillistas were a beat away from victory.
Later Wilson succumbed to Alzheimers but looking at his disastrous premiership it is not difficult to adduce that the symptoms were there right at the start.Some with similar mental instabilities such as Tony Benn have made a career out of being loopy.Unlike BennWilson chose to keep his ailment under wraps and went into a long private retreat into the twilight zone.

Left\Right False Hegelian Construct
Whether it be Socialism or Fascism, Collectivism is the J/anus faced monster foxing the world.So much confusion arises from these terms and in the midst of that fog of false constructions and definitions the collectivists scamper and flourish like febrile magggots on the dung of history.
People are forced into either camp, both believing the other their opposite when in fact they have bought a bill of goods, not seeing that they are confronted with two horns on the same goat of Collectivism.
The clues are there.Hitler the so called Fascist ran a party called National Socialist. So we may say that Fascism is Nationalism with Socialism and Socialism is Socialism without Nationalism.
Fascists are anti unions, Socialists are pro unions.But it is what unites the two that is most important and that is of course: State Worship.So whether you dress to the Left or to the right you believe in a Big State.You are a collectivist. Simple really...
If you believe in a small limited state however then you are really a capitalist or libertarian.The word Conservative is confusing because so many conservatives are paternalistc statists who believe in free markets on Mondays and Tuesdays but the rest of the week lean towards State sollutions.

Bush Lied People Died
Have you noticed the sheer puerility of the Left? The nursery rhymes they employ, like the above titled, Bush Lied People Died,harking back to those children of the 60's Revolution with their 'Hey LBJ,how many children did you kill today'? 'Make poverty History' and such simplistic slogans bipass the cerebral cortex and have a hypnotic mantra-like effect that is the ideal state and default mode for the unfocused left.

You can get people to believe anything if you exert enough pressure on them.They proved this in experiments where people were actually inveighled into to applying what they thought were electrical shocks to strangers at the behest of a white uniformed figure of authority.Although the experiment was a fake, one man applying the shocks was easily persuaded to use the maximum power despite the clearly audible screams of the victim.
In another experiment they put a sign up saying 'Delaware closed for the weekend' and the majority of mototists after questioning the guard at the border were persuaded that Delaware was actually closed and drove away.
If someone is suggestible enough you can persuade them that their house is not their own and they will hand over the keys.Governments after all are pastmasters at convincing the masses that their property is not really theirs and belongs to the state.They do it every day.They utilise a pre existent national psychosis to tax the poor old British saps to the max and then some.They even convince them it is for their own good even though the evidence to the contrary stares them in the face everyday in the form of dirty disgusting virus infected third world NHS hospitals,schools that cannot teach children basic maths and english yet think it appropriate to pervert their minds with sick propaganda about homosexuality and illict sex amongst minors.

Dunblame
A decade on from the Dunblane school massacre channel five revisited it.How could any programme do justice to such a tragedy?It was however handled fittingly enough.Until that is, the gun control issue was broached.Then the programme temporarily changed and moved into agenda gear.
It is understandable for the parents of those slaughtered children to seek causes for the tragedy and to want to make sense of such a senseless act of gratuitous barbarism but it is interesting to see how in the process human beings so often latch on to the entirely wrong causal explanation and seek out an object upon which to vent their anger and grief.In this case of course it was the handgun - (plural of in the killer's case) and the need to ban it,which they effectively achieved in the UK,giving it the most stringent gun control laws in the world.Since when of course the incidence of gun related deaths has quadrupled....
This sort of displacement or projection psychology has been little discussed,certainly not in the mainstream media especially as in many instances the MSM instigates or engenders such phenomena, albeit sometimes unwittingly.
Unable to confront the sheer enormity of such human evil the victims family primarily, in unconscious self defence mechanism will shift their animus away from the source of their grief and project it onto soemthing they find easier to confront, usually an inaminmate object,in this case the gun.In a few leaps of pretzellogic the gun is now seen as the cause of the crime and must be proscribed by law.The perpetrator,the man who pulled the trigger and went on a five minute act of random carnage is relegated to a side issue,beyond all analysis and thus tidly substitued by the handgun.
On a wider scale,macrocosmically we see a variant of this phenomena at work - same displacement projection psychology - in the dynamics of the anti war peace groups.Bush becomes Hitler -'the greatest terrorist in the world' acording to the SWP, and Saddom is airbrushed out.
There are probably legion other examples of this at work in interpersonal relations.Couples who fight over domestic arrangements like leaving the lid off the toothpaste.Or policemen who go after a man who displayed golliwogs in his front window,but seem to develop myopia when criminal acts of vandalism are taking place under their noses.
How much easier it is to project onto carefully selected and constructed scapegoats than to deal with the real issues we are confronted with!

University Of Cant
R 5 BBC re the latest furore over the lecturer who subscribes to Belljar Curve thesis.The students Union chap in the studio wanted the lecturer thrown out citing the importance of multiculturalism and not giving offense to minorities on campus.
One lecturer who promotes right wing views;pretty much the rest are varying degrees of left (going across the spectrum to far left no doubt).Yet look at the furore over this one lecturer who dares step out of line and proffers something that doesn't conform to the Stalinist ideology of left wing student politics,which it appears is depressingly enough, still permeating the universities like a putrescent and toxic cancer.
So where are we here - some views are ok to promote, the rest have to be proscribed? The BNP voting lecturers are already banned - I found out today from said student union leader.In that case all tax payer support for universities must be withdrawn.
Narrow left wing Marxist student union influenced universities are not the kind of place any sensible parent would want their children attending.Lets face it, they are children, and dependants:tax funded,parent supported children,led by it would seem, a predominantly kindergarten knee jerk left wing bigotted, myopic, students union.

Reality Check
I am a sucker for those makeover reality programmes like Brat camp,Supernanny,You are WhatYou eat with that mad Scottish woman harranguing hectoring and baiting her victims to change their diet -and latest addition the marvellous Victoria Stillwell with her dog owner training programme on ch 4.Because of course it is really all about the dog owners,not the dog;the parents,not the children.
There is a lingering suspicion in my mind that when the cameras leave all the participants revert back to type:the children start acting up and the dogs start shitting on the carpet, but that is the cynic in me.
In Brat camp the miscreant females are flown out to Utah and after a while in the dessert slowly appear to undergo a miraculous transformation -or at least some of them.When they get back to Blighty,they become subject to the old temptations,the pull of environment and go back into drugs and smoking.Recognising this two of them elected to go back to Utah to that safer envirinment without all the temptations their immature selves are subject to.One mother was even selling her house to pay for her daughter's return.No more touching committment than that.
Most of these young girls are stoned,abusive,violent and most shocking of all from 'respectable'middle class homes.Apparently thousands of parents have put their children forward as future candidates for this experiment.What is going on in our society?The middleclasses are descending into Chavery.

Why do people do it -go back to their old school? Meeting people you knew 30 years ago when you were children has no appeal to me but then my school was a cross between Belsen and a lunatic asylum.Alright,I exaggerate -a tad.But it wasn't something I'd want to revisit I can tell you.And they charge you -£7 last count.Shouldn't they pay us in compensation?
The two chief things wrong with it were the children and the teachers.Both seemed in varying stages of dysfunctionality and used their environment to act out their infantile regressions -on me mostly.I learned the true meaning of ennui at school.It was a Catholic secondary and the fag end of the 60's/early 70's and everyone was into Slade and T.Rex.I of course was into the Beatles, forever out of step with the zeitegeist.Well they were part of the backdrop of my childhood so I was just catching up.
Barely a week went by without blood on the playground.Strange hostile environ in which to place a child one would have thought.So all this 'lets trip down memory lane' is kind of sick to me.What do we have in common- morons with whom one was forced to socialise?The only explanation I can offer for Friends Reunited is this: we are talking Stockholm Syndrome here.Captives form strange bonds.You have no choice.
Not one of my former er, inmates has made good.I am the only one destined for fame and fortune and even I am leaving it a bit late.Others haved died in strange circumstances,committed suicide, succumbed to alcoholism,sexual deviancy,and well earned anonymity. And that is just the teachers..
Of course I use the word teachers advisedly.Had someone gone out in the street and picked people at random saying 'you are now a teacher at St#######' they could not have arrived at such a motley bunch of social misfits,failures and pedagogically challenged individuals.
Of course everything is distorted when you are 13,14.Midgets seem like monsters.The small looms large,the petty collosal,the minor,major.
Instead of Meritocracy mediocracy reigned at the old school.The lowest common denominator ruled and don't tell me it is any different now.My nose is to the ground.A freind's child goes there and reports back connote it is more of the same.Bullies hold a sway of terror and get preferential treatment over their victims.Short of murder you cannot get expelled.
You can roll that out across the country.Like a Gulag Archipellago the State Schools hold millions hostage to a clapped out, morally and spiritually bankrupt system that fails and continues to fail countless generations,to blight lives,to stunt growth,to stifle aspiration,to crush the spirit,to destroy hope,in the name of a evil ideology of Socilaism,the systematic dumbing down of minds,the negation of life,and the enemy of promise.

Rod Liddle Talks Piddle
Poor Rod Liddle is a worried man.He is greatly excercised that Christian Evangelists in this country are brainwashing children in State Schools! They are teachinhg subversive dangerous ideas such as: abstinence,creationism,anti feminism,anti homosexualism.Something must be done!
I have just watched his programme on Channel Four and I had a distinct de ja vous feeling about it.Almost as if I have seen this programme before -and I have.Over and over ad nauseam.The script is well rehearsed,and always conforms to type.Our level headed reasonable sweetness and light himself Richard Dorkins was at it a few weeks ago fulminating about the dangers of strident Christianity and what a threat it posed to all reasonable minded folk like him who were having their enlightened liberal views and sensibilities offended in such an egregious fashion by the dark primitive forces of religious reaction.One was almost moved to tears by such injustice,such imposition!
Thank goodness there are valiant daring brave people such as Rodger who will expose these evil men who would seek to bring morality and decency back to our schools.Without Liddle we might end up in a truly awful situation where our schools are no longer able to preach sodomy,feminism,baby killing(sorry abortion) and premarital sex.Perish the thought!

British Capitalist Party
Just trying out names.Sounds good. Why I think a capitalist party would succeed: British people are apathetic and fatalistic.They pay 70% tax on petrol and do not complain.They pay tax on everything and tolerate it.They are invaded by Muslim aliens and do not complain.So if you change the system and do away with most taxes,and Muslims they are hardly going to take to the streets with placards saying 'bring back high taxes.' or 'Don't deport our beloved Muslims'.Ain't going to happen is it? We are pushing at an open door.
I would present it like this: Private health care for all! Private schools for all! Let's face it, who with a few pennies to rub together is not under Bupa and sending their children to private schools?Can you imagine people taking to the streets with placards reading 'Save our sink comprehenisve schools'? Or save our MSMR NHS hospitals?
People want autonomy.The politicians are 50 years behind the electorate.
Would you rather pay less taxes and choose your childrens school and health care arrangements or would you rather carry on paying high taxes for crap services that don't even deliver what they promise?Who is going to chose the former?Just frame the question properly and you will be surprised at the answers you will get.
How many people are socialists in this counrty? Not many.If you support the idea of the NHS you are a socialist.Once that is explained to people they start to think again about healthcare.Thatch began this re education programme.The final phase is yet to be implemented.That begins now.

Why Cameron Must Lose The Next Election
It took Labour 4 election defeats to change.It is looking that way for the Tories.Cameron's abuse of the English language -Cameronese is Orwellian and if he succeeds the party will be no more,a mere Blairite mutation,a new virulent form of political cancer.
The language Camorons employ is truly sinister and sickening.It specialises in the vague and non definable,in cosy subliminal fuzzy doublespeak formulated by computer and focus groups -who are anything but focused.This systematic root and branch destruction of a great historical institution by PR groups with surgically removed consciences and ideological bi pass operations is a re run of the Invasion of the Body Politic Snatchers.

Tebbit A True Conservative

Tony Benn and Meine Kampf
His Lordship was on Radio 4 today tellling how he read Hitler's Meine Kampf as a 10 year old boy and how he had an argument with his brother and the book was split in two -he still has the copy.Now you don't have to be Sigg Freud to work out what is going on here.
Adolf was a Socialist -that was the name of his party.So Fascism is like the flip side of Socialsim -a sort of political schizophrenic dysfunctional dystopic State.Tony's book split in two symbolises the twin faced bifurcated mongrel philosophy of socialism/ fascism .
He goes on to say in the radio interview that bureaucracy is the curse of the working classes.Funny I thought socialism created bureaucracy not capitalism Tony.You see capitalism seeks to keep its costs down whereas Socialism thrives on bureaucracy -it is it's raison de'tre.Bureaucracy is the process by which money is turned into pure waste.Godd description of soialism wouldn't you say?
Anyway Mr Benn can be found at the Royal Geographical Institute givng a lecture on utopia and the welfare state. If you want a laugh pop along.Our Tony is full of humour -albeit of the unintentional kind.

Are Nurses Modern Nazis?
As I mentioned below my friend in hospital has daily run-ins with the nurses.Today he was moved to another ward.At the end of it two people were watching TV and he could hear it loud and clear.They have the facility to use the TV over their bed which is pay per view but to save money they have opted to watch the TV with no headphones.My friend complains.Here's the dialogue more or less verbatim, as he put it:
Well that's how it always was,the nurse says.
Well it is an irritant my friend replies.
No it is not.
Who are you to decide what is an irritant to me?
Well that's how it used to be anyway: TV's on for all to hear.
One of those listening says'I don't want any trouble' and moves to turn it off. The nurse rushes to prevent him and says Don't mind him,he's a troublemaker(referring to my friend)
Was that how you were trained to talk to your patients?
No reply to that.(Of ourse that was not how the nurse was trained and she knows it.)
Then they get in the head nurse.The nurse gives her one sided version of events and my friend is outnumbered and no logic will prevail so he says:Either you have that turned off or I will go and sleep in the corridor.They of course back down and he is moved.
This is a ward for people who are recuperating from a stroke. World War 3 more like it.

Nazional Health Service part two
The committment of NHS blog doctor and his ilk to his profession is admirable and into the relam of the heroic but personally I feel modern medicine has lost its way.Everyone thinks there is a pill for everything but that is against nature really.If people want to buy into such a system fine,let them pay for it in private practice.I oppose therfor the NHS and all its works.Imagine they spend money killing babies and elsewhere they spend money on IVF treatment.Cosmetic surgery. NHS has lost its way big time.
I don't trust the tories to sort any of this out -in fact the way they are now I wouldn't trust them with used toilet paper.
The NHS encourages neurosis and hypocondria because it is free(ha ha) at the point of abuse.It feeds into a malingerer's ethos,as thousands with their imaginary illnesses clog up an already malfunctioning system.If they had to pay upfront for every visit they would soon discover the benefits of good health.
Mainly I oppose thr NHS because it is a socialist system and we all know how lethal that is to your health.If there was to be a real Capitalsit Party (and I predict there will be one in a few years if not sooner) getting rid of the NHS and all its evil works will be number one on the list of 'things to do'.

How many more dreams?! In my Party of One (all free to join) which I have called The Capitalist Party,we will hang people regularly -well really only once.Imagine old Hamster dangling on the end of a rope and that shoe bomber,and that Soham chap and,the pond life who killed that teacher outside a school and is now free,etc etc ad nauseam.

What Can Be Done Part Two
We are told by the liberal media (and we believe it) that people like a big State,they want the NHS and State Education,they want Nanny telling us when to go to the bathroom.Where is the evidence for this?Sure the recipients of this tax funded largesse want it but then the criminal wants his bag of stolen goodies but such a want is not a moral lien on those who are forced to supply it at the point of a gun.Isn't that what government has become -a form of Mafia,bribing its victims,with a protection racket that would have put the Godfather to shame?
Polly Toynbee tells us that the British people want the Welfare State and the welfairers have won the argument.Well they have in the Guardian but the rest of the population are not so in enamoured these days.They see a creaking compromised health service which is a money sucking funnel down which more and more is sent with no discernible improvement the other end except to the fat cat administraiitors who have creamed off the tax windfall.Just as these very people now think nothing of using a different phone company to BT it would not be that difficult to get them to see that they could also enjoy cheaper health care and have a choice in that area which at the moment they are denied by 20th century labour neanderthals through idelogical spite and power lust. Car insurance,house insurance,health insurance -no great leap of faith would be required,with the right presentation -if only someone would dare to make such a presentation.

Polly Toynbee tells us that the British people want the Welfare State and the welfairers have won the argument.Well they have in the Guardian but the rest of the population are not so in enamoured these days.They see a creaking compromised health service which is a money sucking funnel down which more and more is sent with no discernible improvement the other end except to the fat cat administraiitors who have creamed off the tax windfall.Just as these very people now think nothing of using a different phone company to BT it would not be that difficult to get them to see that they could also enjoy cheaper health care and have a choice in that area which at the moment they are denied by 20th century labour neanderthals through idelogical spite and power lust. Car insurance,house insurance,health insurance -no great leap of faith would be required,with the right presentation -if only someone would dare to make such a presentation.

What Can Be Done?
Someone once referred to the cult of moral greyness.We are living in such times.Conservatives are shape shifting reptiles,and the times are out joint.Things fall apart,the centre cannot hold,the the worst are lacking all conviction,the best are full of passionless density.What can be done?
As I said below the time is ripe for a fourth party,the 'fourth way' namely through capitalism and such a bold gambit is there for the taking.A new era could be upon us where people are given a clear choice between bankrupt statism with one in five people working for the Leviathan,most in non productive non jobs,or the sunny uplands of opportuinity and hope where people are free to make their own decsions on a whole arange of things which now they are forced to abdicate to a shop worn State bereft of purpose or principle other than that of self perpetuation.
Think of all the areas where the State has forced its ugly snout,devouring the substance of the people,rapaciously trampling over the hard won freedoms and liberties of our forefathers.Have you seen the little big piggies in their starched white shirts? Some are more equal than others in this political barnyard.
Where to begin?Is there an area where the State has not usurped,where even thoughts and feelings are now nationalised in a Gramscian grab for the very souls of the British people?Take the Arts for a start. What is good,and what is not good -do we need anyone to tell us these things?Art and politics -if any two things should be kept separate surely it is these -and yet the State wants us,nay forces us to subsidise the utmost bilge of non representational art to keep unemployable wasters in the manner to which they have become accustomed.Not in my name.
The Arts council must go.The Melvyns will just have to tout their wares on the free market,the State should not patronise the Arts.Whenever I hear the wordCulture I reach for my Revolver -(The Beatles Albumn of course.I refer you to the track called The Taxman.)

The Capitalist Party
Is this the time for a fourth party in British politics? We now have three socialist parties: the liberal socialists, The labour socialists and the Conservative socialists. The liberal socialists cannot wait to join Camoron in his latest socialist experiment which is defacto fascism as I explained below.
So perhaps now is the time for a capitalist party.It would share some of the aspirations of the UKIP and BNP re EU and immigration but a radical free market approach to such areas as the NHS and Education system would mark it out distinctly from the three main socialist parties.The BNP are of course socialist as well albeit rather more virulently than the main three.
Conservatives lacking the nerve and self confidence are of course the nearest to capitalist in their policies but without the courage of their convictions always opt for statist sollutions re education and health and are so timorous and defensive about taxation,so terrified of being called names by the BBC and the liberal Guardianista establishment that they are paralysed and when actually moving gravitate towards the centre left of 'judicious' State spending and redistribution. Thus are millions of conservatives left disenfranchised, at the mercy of a weak,compromised and intellectually confused party forever looking over its shoulder for someonone to apologise to for its virtues.
I do not think it is possible to convert the tories to free market capitalsim because they are like traumatised chickens, cooped up battery hens trying to be coaxed out into the sunshine.They will have none of it.Ten years in the political wilderness have made them desperate for power and they will do anything to get it,sell their grandmother down the river,jettison all their values,play to the crowd.
What they don't seem to recognise is that people are crying out for leadership and principles.They know the NHS is bust.They know the education system is in complete meltdown.They would be ready for radical ideas.All they get is cynical,piece meal pseudo reforms,a promise to run the clapped out morribund services more efficiently.They could probably run a brothel more efficiently but it would still remain a brothel. Pausing for breath, in my next post I will attempt to outline the areas where a fourth party, a capitalist party would offer the public an exciting revolutionary approach to the nation's very serious problems and a way out of them.

Nazional Health Service
The Camorons are keen to preserve the NHS and for that reason they are Socialists.National Socialists.Their plans for the NHS are corporatist/fascist/whereby the State maintains overall supremacy over instituions but leaves the day to day running of them to those on the ground.This 'localism' as they are now calling it is a cop out and constitutes a total break with liberty freedom and capitalism of which the Conservatives are supposed to be champions.
Whence this degeneracy of the conservatives from principles of freedom and individual rights to Statism and collectivism so beloved of their supposed opposites on the Left?
It all began in 1945 when the first Labour government proper swept to power after WW2.Having had a taste of war socialism the British people were prepared to gamble with their freedoms and liberty for some Peace Socialism -even if it meant selling their souls for a pair of National Health spectacles -although they never consciously made such a decision but rather sleepwalked into this supplicant dependency culture of Welfairism.
Rather than challenge what was effectively a political coup by plebescite where private property was seized by the state in an egregious act of brigandige and promptly nationalised, the conservatives went along for the ride and were duly corrupted by the associaction,seduced by the power such nationlisation gave them to hold sway over the people and buy votes by pandering to the electorate with promises of more largesse -paid for by the tax paying dupes.
They have been at it ever since and like the junkies they are cannot relinquish the fix of Statism and will hang on to the morribund NHS,promising to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear because they think this is what the public want.
Thus Tories are Socialists in disguise and are therfor worse than socialists for they seek to promote the evil creed of socialsim under the guise of freedom and thus negate nullify and discredit freedom rendering people rip for tyranny.

NHS: Should It Carry A Government Health Warning?

Can anyone explain why my elder friend who had a mini stroke and went to hospital and who has secondary diabetes(less severe one) and who got his sugar level down to 6(I think) prior to going to hospital by dint of Atkins like diet,found 6 days after eating hospital food which comprised of 'diabetic food' such as ice cream and custard (sweets) his level shoot up to 18(I think)?What do they put in this diabetic food -sugar?
Even more alarming than this, when he pointed it out the nurse didn't want to listen and neither did the doctor.They have now put him on insulin.According to him none of the nurses or doctors listen which is a rather strangecommentary on the 'profession' or am I missing something?They also have a cavalier attitude to his drug regimen and do not consider his own legitimate concerns over negative reactions to specific drugs of any consequence.niconoclast Homepage 11.02.06 - 11:13 am #

The Fatal Flaw of Modern Conservatavism
Socialists are sociopaths.That is the inherent weakness of conservatives:They don't know their enemy and keep on ascribing virtues to them they do not possess.How can you challenge an evil,let alone vanquish it when you think it is just a misguided good?If you mistake malevolence for good intentions you are defeated before you've begun.You end up accepting that Socialism is a good ideal,but impractical.People will always opt for the ideal whatever the monstrous results(NHS,State Education ad nauseam).

Send In The Clones
The Camoronians are getting rattled.One of them accused me of 'right wing nihilism' on their website.Let me see now; a left wing entryist faction takes over the party,jettisons all their core values and accuses those who insist on keeping their values instead of prostituing them of nihilism?There is projection going on here I say.
Camoron must be Blair's evil twin.The way they smile at each other conspiratorily over the despatch box is disquieting.Here is my sucessor in whom I am very proud appears to be Blair's take.
What is most bizarre is their belief that winning is everything and Camoron is vindicated by the fact that more people are coming over to the Tories since he became leader.That is the clinching argument for them and how can you communicate anything to such concrete bound (quite frankly) morons? The Prophet Gets A Free Pass
In all the debate about free speech re 'the cartoon' not one commentator or comment has been made about just who the prophet was and the life he lived. I have been told that he was a warrior and had sex with a minor but I haven't done my own research on the matter.One thing is clear: the life of the prophet M has not to my knowledge been examined in the Western media in any detail if at all - or have I missed it?
So why this coyness,this reticence about this apparently major religious figure in history we are all told must be revered and respected?Ask anyone in the street what they know about Mohummed and you will get back blank stares.
Could it be the Muslims want his life to remain shrouded in the cloud of unknowing?By all accounts there is a lot that would not bear close scrutiny about this shady character.
We do know one thing.Islam seems to be a religion of intolerance and those who appear in public professing to be followers of the Prophet behave in a distinclty hysterical hate filled undignified manner which is hardly a advertisement for their religion.Or perhaps it is? Perhaps Islam is just that: a religion of hate, a death worshipping cult.It certainly comes across that way.
Whenever they appear in public it is to burn books and flags,set fire to foreign embassies,issue death threats,bedeck their children with hate filled placards,and that is not to mention their Nazist Anti Semitism.

Confessions Of A Reader
Publishing this week in the newspapers a list of ten novels writers believe children should read before leaving school I couldn't help thinking this is not the way to encourage reading amongst young people. Had I been told to read Shakespeare at 15 I am sure I would have loathed it ever after.
I never read a book till I was 14 and then never stopped.Everything the teachers touched turned to dust and I was a rebel without a pause. Thank goodness I wasn't forcefed the classics. I was ordered to the public library by my mother however and told to come back with two books.One was a cop out -a coffee table book of the Monkees(it was 1967) but the other was a 'real'book, something called James Bond 5 and a half about a geeky boy who would climb out of his bedroom in the evening and have adventures solving crime.I was hooked.Couldn't stop me then.I ate books.Detectives first, Agatha Christie - Ten Little Niggers (sorry!),then Horror and Ghost books,Arthur Hailey blockbusters,Airport and Hotel,Wheels,and then somehow I came across Truman Capote's Breakfast At Tifanny and the Grass Harp.Strange, but entrancing.Iris Murdoch's Brunos Dream was like entering the weirdest world,totally mystifying yet somehow familiar.I was never the same again after reading Murdoch...
Then it was Dickens and Shakespeare,Wilde,Orwell,Kafka,Proust,Huysmans (am I boring you already?)Gide Sartre,Camus,Tolstoy,Turgeniev,Checkhov,I was mad in my devouring. I went through distinct phases.There was my Hemingway period,Fitzgerald,Dostoyevsky ad nauseam.An obbsessive compulsive streak made me have to read the oeuvre.

Whilst I despise Rap music I have to confess that since getting satellite over a year ago I have been converted to Eminem.His videos are little psychodramas and quite intriguing,like a therapy session where his demons are exorcised (or excercised.)
I can handle this because he is white and I know he is just playing at it whereas for black people Rap has been a disastrous thing because it glorifies their wretched condition and besides ,they appear to lack the wit and intelligence and irony of Eminem.He actually beats them at their own game in the same way the Stones beat Mudddy Waters etc.

School Of Scandal
Rock School on ch 4 was interesting.The lead singer of 70's group(Lenny..?) Kiss has a mission to visit the UK schools and create a rock band from selected pupils(yes - another'reality' prog).
He went to a comprehensive school at a seaside town and the place and the school was a dump.The irony of this ex rocker lamenting the lack of discipline in the school was amusing enough but what was so depressing was the poverty of expectation of the pupils,their studied surly,silent indifference.Destroyed by an educational system so abysmal that even the greatest writer would not be able to adequately describe it.
One pupil was a 'socialist' and, -lets call him Lenny- said, in so many words:' this guy is truly pathetic,not a thing in his head,totally brainwashed,by this socialism/communism'. There was an undercurrent of anti Americanism towards this larger than life US character amongst some of the pupils but he largely won them round,but not before one of the more beliigerent of them (again ironically) dismissed him as being 'too aggressive'. This is one to watch. Part two later this week.

Tax Payers Alliance
It is good there is now a pressure group in the UK seeking to introduce the idea to the population that taxation is not an unalloyed good,and that society can only remain economically viable if taxes are radically reduced.
What a pity our Tories are not paying any attention.They say that economic stability must come before tax cuts as if the two are not joined at the hip.This economic illiteracy is quite alarming until you realiase that the conservatives are little more than socialists pretending to be conservatives,power hungry collectivists whose militant ignorance about how the economy works is only surpassed by Gordon Brown.

It is becoming obvious that Conservatives need a new party and that Camoron has lost whatever few marbles he ever had.As Tebbit ponted out today the antics of the reformers have disenfranchised at least 4 million Conservative voters who have stayed at home at election time.
Is the formation of a new party tenable and realistic?Why not.The SDP changed the face of British politics even if just as a catalyst to bring Old Labour to its knees.We could go further and actually start a new party that would supplant the present one of pretenders and chancers.

Entertainment: The God Of Aetheists
| If you take away the emotional reaction of entertainment be it music,comedy or sport etc there is very little left. The New Religion of Entertainment sucks in its audience who can vicariously emote to artificially created scenes and diversions. The modern amphitheatre of the rock concert or pop video lends itself to this idolatorous worship.Films pull in the masses and emotions are engendered and manipulated. A documentary on the comedian Spike Milligan last night revealed him to be a manic depressive,suicide personality who claimed his problems began when he was shell shocked during WW2.I wonder if that was really the case and if he didn't have a prior condition.Whatever the case we were invited to have sympathy for this tortured genius who suffered for his art when all I could muster was a bored indifference. Self pity seemed to be Milligan's bag and no one it seems, told him to bend over to a receive a swift kick in the pants but rather indulged him in his dellusions of importance and angst. He was an emotional wreck who sought to sublimate his neurosis in comedy with the predictably disastrous results. Small wonder when he got immersed in politics it was of the Left variety where the emotionally unhinged collect to act out their infantile and regressive psychosis. Emotional incontinence across the board seems to be the prime mover in the artistic field;not always but too often.The only thing the audience can do is not get emotionally involved in the proceedings and thus maintain objectivite to the manipulations of the Entertainers. |

| Why do people tell you about their medical symptoms? Surely it is a lack of self awareness that makes them think that their boring symptoms could be of interest to anyone other than themselves. Hypochondria seems to be on the increase and could the NHS have anything to do with this as people have unlimited access to their doctors and can avail them of all their imaginary illnesses without paying what the market would normally stand - that is to say neurotic hypondriachs would under a private insurance system have to pay a higher premium,as would smokers,drinkers,drug addicts,and obese junk food addicts. Best Bitter-End
As a youngster I regarded George Best as a hero and was disappointed when he went awol and then retired prematurely from Man Utd.I used to be a bit of a footballer at school and many rated me as having some Best like attributes,but I lost interest in football when he hung up his boots in ' 72. However should we not set aside childish things in adulthood? The hagiographical media worship of Best is surely the sign of a society with its moral compass awry. Sport and entertainment has become the new God in the abscence and rejection of the real one.It really is true: when people don't believe in God they end up believing in anything and worshipping the wrong God.They even use religious terminology such as rock and sporting 'idols'.(Yes I will probably be watching the X Factor as well tonight but even whilst doing so I can recognise the false and contrived emoting,the manufactured sentiment and the mild hysteria surrounding it, knowing that it is not to put it mildly, altogether healthy). Bullying In Schools: Institutionalised Denialism
| Bullying in State schools is institutionalised for one simple but hitherto undiscussed reason.We have had lots of horror stories of late about brutalist attacks on pupils by fellow pupils but the response by the media and the schools in question have been predictably feeble,pusilaminous, evasive and rationale riddled. There is one elementary reason for this denialist rationale.The schools are State run,and ergo staffed by a predominantly liberal faculty and what is the liberal default mode mindset re criminal behaviour?A collective looking the other way.A collective pro criminal pro offender disposition.The victim can go hang and as we have also seen of late many of the bullied do resort to suicide in the absence of any support or protection from the criminal colluding liberal educational establishment. Only one thing will correct this monstrous liberalist collaboration with criminal thugs in the schools.The parents of the victims should sue the ass off the schools where the assaults occur.That alone will concentrate the liberal minds of the harbourers of criminal elements within the schools. |

Tories Abandon National Security For Cheap Political Gain
| Once again the tories are opposing the Government not out of principle but for tawdry short term political gain.The 90 day period of holding suspects without trial is necessary post 9/11 and 7/7 and the public by a large majority support this.The fact that the tories have sided with the liberals in opposing this points to their moral delinquency and cynicism. The law of 90 days should only apply to muslim suspects just as during the WW2 Japanese and German inhabitants of the UK were profiled for specific attention. We are at war and all muslims are suspect all the more so as there has yet to be a clear unequivocal statement of opposition to islamic terrorism by the so called muslim community in the UK. |

France Surrenders To Islamic Terrorists
| Well France does have form on cravenly surrendering to any who would threaten it so its cowardly supine negligence in the face of ten days of rioting by islamic immigrants is hardly surprising. Nor of course is the coverage in the British media who for a week tried to pretend it wasn't happening and have now taken up the story soley from the point of view of sympathy and empathy with the rioting sub human muslim scum. BBC: Only Half The Story
| For a week there have been riots in Paris by muslim immigrants but the BBC in its reports cannot quite bring itself to tell us this and its silence on this matter is positively sinister. Like the riots in Birmingham (which I wrongly reported above as taking place in Manchester) the story just doesn't fit into their distorted PC world view so they simply don't cover it, or do so minus the salient details. Not for nothing did George Orwell base his novel 1984 on his experiences working for the BBC for which he invented the title Ministry Of Truth. |

Blunket Goes - Again
Blunket had to go but mainly because his position of reforming the welfare state was compromised because it involved a radical shakeup of the disability payment scam where millions are freeloading on the system with their imaginary illnesses and costing the taxpayers hundreds of millions in false and fraudulent claims. Being disabled himself Blunket was thus labouring under a compromised objectivity and already was seen to be failing his role by baulking at Blair's radical proposals. He was one of the most ablest of his generation but lacking in judgement over recent years and felled by serpentine femail associations his position became untenable. |
