Having watched the clowning of Max Keiser on RT over the years I have come to the conclusion that his ilk of alarmist conspiracy theorist declinists are the modern equivalent of the soothsayers and withcdoctors of medieval times with their end is nigh doomsday scenarios.Keiser lends his rantings a patina of pseudo intellectuality by invoking his past experience on Wall St but this is a mere cover for his virulent anti Americanism and anti Capitalism although he claims that he is for pure Capitalism but his constant ad hominem abuse of Ayn Rand clearly belies this.
As RT is a propaganda vehicle for Putin's Russia it is hardly surprising that the latter is the elephant in the room that never gets mentioned or critiqued by Keiser proving that he is every bit as much in the pockets of vested interests as the people he lambastes. With his sidekick Stacey Herbert they vye with one another to see who can excel in florid rhetoric and absurdist caricature of the financial world but underneath the bombastic hyperbole is the same left thinking that charcterises most conspiracy theorist purveyors.

You need to check Max's track record on his predictions. He is against fraud not against capitalism.
When I wrote this on my humble blog it was not my design for it to feature on his site despite what Stacey suggests nor did I anticipate it would provoke such response. For my defence I will only say Max is my favourite music hall turn and I have learned a lot from his prog but do stick to my assertion about where he is coming from and cite his recent applauding of the Roosvelt interventionist socialist impositions in Acts passed in the 30s and in the support for glas steigel etc which are hardly pro Capitalist positions.
Postcript: I did send the above comments to Max's site but perhaps for obvious and understandable reasons they have declined to include it so I have included it here instead!
Glass-Steagall is anti capitalist? What are you, a moron? Where are you coming from? Mars? If we still had Glass-Steagall there would be no crisis, no bailout, no need for a bailout, idiot. You righties kill me (you literally kill the poor). All you care about is keeping pregnant women pregnant, jesus in the classroom and guns on the streets. Your brains go numb from the start, you can't even get a handle on the easy issues. Then when you try to get your head around an abstraction like economics hey, fogetta bout it... Too bad that as a country we're only as strong as our weakest link, the Republicans.
You should read what I say about religion on here! I am against bank bailout and the State dictating how banks should operate which is what glas steigal is.
Post postcript: they have since posted my comments but held on to them for an hour before doing so ,so probably no one will see it.Good job I am not a conspiracy theorist!
I think Max is too emotionally invested to see the truth. EVERY single element of fraud he rages against is (for the most part directly) caused by the state, yet he wants more regulation.
….the good thing about this controversy being engineered by Max, is that we are getting a healthy conversation going about Libertarianism. Karl Denninger added his two cents in the most recent Keiser video, and this was most helpful.
This is important work! We can not let the fake Austrians and the fake Libertarians hijack this philosophical ‘school’ and pervert its integrity. It is worth preserving, because it is an important foundation for freedom loving Americans.
If we don’t clear out the deadwood now, the wrong people will claim it as their moniker. In fact, this has already happened - Max is trying to wrest it away and using his histrionics to make a point.
Anybody espousing Libertarianism while rooting for a meddling government is not a Libertarian!
Roosevelt and Glass Steagall were not at all anti-capitalist. They were absolutely pro-capitalist in that they saved the USA system from a socialist revolution during the wave of AFL led sit down strikes and massive union organizing in the 1930s. Sorry if this doesn't fit with your rather simplified, convenient, partisan, ideological "interpretation" of these events.
