What twisted form of ideology could possibly associate or conflate liberalism with idealism? A political philosophy which counts the highest good as every individual made a ward of the State is 'idealistic'?! One thing liberalism is not is 'innocent'.Liberals know exactly what they are doing.
This value laden assumption ridden tendentiousness is written into the dna of all BBC presenters and they would not be employed if they did not come ready made with this twisted ideological canker in their soul.Imagine a BBC presenter saying the following to a invited guest: 'You were a Conservative idealist,innocent'.
