Liberal Hypocrisy in Education

There is less social mobility now than forty years ago due largely to the egalitarian ethos fostered by the liberal unintelligentsia via the systematic destruction of grammar schools;wanton vandalism unprecedented in scale and magnitude. The usual mantra about 'law of unintended consequences' just will not wash.These idealogues knew Exactly what they were doing.Didn't a minister actually say ' we are going to destroy every f###### grammar school in the country' or words to that effect?

A recent study showed that over 70% of those in all the top professions were independently educated outside the state system and yet these are the most vocal in arguing for the state education (not it would seem for their own children but everyone else's.) So if these hypocrites on the Left actually cared about the education of the young they would be arguing for a mass return to selection,grammar schools; rule by meritocracy.But that is not their goal at all as we know.Social mobility is the last thing they want.Upwardly mobile people tend to vote Conservative not Labour and that would spell the end of their Socialist utopian fantasies -and where would their liberal guilt find expression then?
