DON'T Mind the Gap

The mantra of the left that the gap between rich and poor is growing is of course supposed to bipass the cerebral cortex and it is very successful in so doing but it should be  countered by saying that the gap is actually a good thing because it is accurately measures the distance between competence and incompetence, success and failure,good performance versus bad,excellence versus mediocrity.To fill in that pay gap,to shorten the distance between those two points with government legislation will not eliminate mediocrity and failure but merely enshrine, reward and entrench it.

The gap between rich and poor argument reveals the profound misunderstanding on the left of how wealth is made  and how economies actually function as it sees the economy as  finite size like a pie whose portions have to  be fairly distributed ( by the state of course) to ensure an equality of outcome and moreover that wealth is  a given,a natural phenomenon that simply exists and then has to be doled out equally which completely bipasses the cause of wealth which is individual effort and achievement,an extraordinary expenditure of ingenuity,effort and intellectual work.

It is this,the product of individual minds,independence and achievement that the collectivists seek to appropriate  to the egalitarian end of providing welfare to the non achievers,the non productive,those who merely perform by rote the actions of others.In other words, the productive are to become the slaves of the non productive to achieve this noble end of closing the gap between rich and poor.

Starkey raving mad?

I was disappointed to hear the usually sensible David Starkey on Question Time last week advocating protectionism to counter globalisation.Perhaps he had caught socialism by osmosis sitting as he was next to Labour's Douglas Alexander.Just before that he had given a cogent analysis of Islam's travails caused by its insularity and its decision to turn inwards centuries ago and here he was now suggesting a fortress like Britain with tarriffs in a futile attempt to keep reality and world markets at bay.

I would suggest that it is over regulation taxation and tarriffs that have caused whatever economic problems this country has  and that no nation has ever secured long time economic prosperity by indulging in self defeating protectionist statism.

The mad mad world of john Humphries

Craziest statement of the week has to go to John Humphries on the Today prog radio 4 where I go to get my daily dose of liberal speak who excelled even himself when interviewing a spokesman from the gas industry who was complaining about the, in some instances, 80% tax on gas and urging for a reduction and Humphries  countered  surely that would be a a subsidy from the British taxpayer?( I shall pause while you grapple with the sublime  twisted logic of that statement gentle readers.) The interviewee to give him credit swiped that statement away with justified contempt.How can a reduction in a swingeing tax by the state be presented as a subsidy from the taxpayer??! Do these liberals go to a special school or what.

Democracy the God that failed

If democracy is a religion then most people would appear to be aetheist as membership of political parties has plummeted,voter turnout has declined over decades and there is a febrile disontent amongst a majority of the electorate which is expressed in an admixture of cynicism  hostility comtempt and indifference.

The political establishment is nervous and expresses alarm and dismay but it is the narrow pecuniary vested interest concern of a class facing possible extinction.The only thing they can offer by way of a sop is more devolution,regional self rule which will just result in more layers of local government  bureaucracy and a reduction of the nation state to petty Balkanised fiefdoms.

Instead of challenging the philosophical root of democracy more tinkering is proposed which will not address the frustration of the wider public who for the most part do not understand the cause of their discontent themselves which is of course the destruction of liberty and individual rights implicit in the democracy paradigm itself.

Needless to say the main benefactors of democracy ie its administrators will not be enlightening them on the matter as their very existence depends upon the democracy scam continuing into perpetuity.The proverbial turkeys will be voting for christmas before that happens.

Secularised Christianity

 Archbishop Sentanous socialist speech this week about poverty rather highlights a post I did on the C of E a few days ago pointing out that the de spiritualised church is now reduced to spouting secular collectivist nostrums that whilst they have their philosophical roots in the altruist base of christianity have been stripped of the other worldliness of a bygone age.

Their kingdom is now  of this world and so they have to get down with the secular masses and make the same noises as the political establishment.They will as a result be treated with the same indifference.Economic illiteracy characterises their pronouncements in particulary their advocacy of a living wage all interlarded with sugar coatings of altruist babble and babytalk.

Such pronouncements hasten the day of disestablishment as the church has been reduced to a political  pressure group that has abandoned its historical position as an institution ministering to the nation's spiritual needs and above the fray of sordid party politics.

Pope speech. The mask slips

No one should be at all surprised at the contents of the pope's speech yesterday attacking freedom of speech as Rome has the most to fear from the exercise of free speech with its dark history of institutionalised paedophilia and support of fascism in the last century.It is clear that with the waning of the Roman catholic faith he is rather envious of the spiritual muscularity of unreformed Islam and would like catholicism to have back its similar tyrannical power of old.Freedom and liberty poses a threat to all religions so no one should be surprised by the pope's  defence of Islam and attack on liberty as shocking despicable and obscene as it was.

Green Bogeys

Clearly Cameron is in a funk over Ukip re the tv debates and is using the Greens and their exclusion from the event as a human shield to protect him from the shafting Farage  has in store for him.Even Cameron knows the greens are fruitloops who believe the climate can be nationalised and controlled through taxation.A look at the chaos they have wrought In Brighton is a salutary warning of what they would do if they got power nationally.

The Privatisation Myth

A regulated market is not a free market and we see this in the energy arena with Labour wanting to force gas companies to lower their prices to British customers in line with lowered wholesale gas prices.Privatisation was supposed to remove the state from meddling in price fixing etc but of course it has done no such thing and what we have is the typical mixed economy model, distorting prices through regulation, and swingeing taxation which in the case of gas is as much as a staggering 80%.

What you will never hear from Labour or any of the other parties is the promise to reduce the eye wattering 60% taxation on petrol and gas which is hobbling the economy and which proves that their concern for  struggling middle England is mere rhetoric and cynical politiking.

Milliband's incursion into gas prices arena is further illustration of his economic illiteracy as only half the profits of gas companies is down to the wholesale price of gas and the rest is impacted by infrastructure spending,taxation,regulation and it purchases  in the wholesale market two years in advance to protect against price volatility ie long before the recent fall in gas wholesale prices.The Mad Marxist Miliband who thinks he is more intelligent than he is venturing in areas way beyond his pay grade.

Kill those who hurt our feelings

Salman Rushdie once referred to muslims who cannot brook criticism and react violently to satirists as 'thin skinned rats' and one was on radio 4 Today prog this morning,a muslim businessman no less saying many muslims felt the Charlie hebdo journalists had it coming and were not sorry they were killed and more such things would happen because of the publication of that journal today featuring the prophet - piss be upon him - on its front page.

UK muslims like the abovementioned who have the emotional intelligence of a three year old should either go on an anger management course or leave the country but they have been emboldened by years of multicuturalism/excuse making for their delinquent attitudes and a compliant poodle press and media that even in the wake of the Paris atrocities refuses to print the cartoons. This despite such UK journalists complaining about the French poodle press in the past and priding itself on its courageous take no prisoners journalism.

The kindegarten world  the thin skinned muslims seek to create for themselves in ghetto like retreat from any criticism should be challenged head on, and they should be told in no uncertain terms that their emotional fascism will not be tolerated,their offence seeking whining self pity and taking offence at every perceived slight is their problem to solve through therapy but will not be the basis of any legislation , protection or censorship and if they cannot live in an open liberal society and if they cannot accept such then they should take themselves off to another country where such values are absent.

C of E,New Statesman at Prayer

The reason people tolerate the non separation of church and state in this country is because the church is so self neutered,has become prey to every politically correct position, a sort of liberal party in frocks that no one could possibly see it as a threat to anyone or thing.It is so bland it has  effaced itself and when whoever the archbishop is makes a speech larded  with bromides and melifluous vacuities it barely registers in the public mind.

 This is in sharp contrast with Islam where a literal interpretation of the Koran is the norm.If the archbishop of the C of e stood up today and announced that he did not actually believe in God no one would be that surprised as none of his bretheren have sounded like they do for many a year.Catholics too have trooped hynotically to church for decades not believing there is anything wrong with contraception,women priests or even abortion in many cases and what they do is pay lip service,their eyes glazed over repeating the mantra like responses in what is essentially a social gathering rather than anything of deep spritual significance.

So Christianity has been de fanged in a way Islam has clearly not. Were it to be similarly transformed we could look upon it in the same indulgent way we do modern christianity rather than seeing it as the very real existential threat it is at present.

Labour's Hollande Source

If anyone wonders what a Labour government under Ed Milliband would look like they would only have to cast their gaze across the channel at the People's Republic of France to get a picture of what they can expect.The economic basket case of France,a country run by the unions is the endgame of such statist policies and if anything Milliband is to the left of Hollande.

As the unions over here limber up for yet more mindless public sector strikes called on a tiny minority of votes we can get a glimpse of what state the country would be in after a few years with the mad Marxist Milliband at the helm.Perhaps it is time the people who pay the wages of these public sector parasites through their taxes went on strike.It would then at least make it clear to everyone who makes the country function and pays the bloated moribund inefficient featherbedded public sector.

French Cojones v British Cowardice

France is to be applauded for its determined stand against Islamists re the cartoons.We here in the UK have already given up the fight and no publication will carry the depictions of the prophet (shite be upon his head). Islam is such an existential threat to civilization that it should be a near to  duty to ritually abuse,lampoon and satirize it on a daily basis but instead we cower and bend the knee to the tyrant and of course this just drives it into a frenzy of contempt and fuels its rage and its adherents up the ante and behead a British soldier in the street by way of thanks

It is far easier to glibly proclaim Je suis Charlie than to actually put it into practice be reproducing the cartoons and thus the justified charge of hypocrisy can be levelled.I have been critical about France re its claim to be defender of liberty but in this matter such a claim is more than justified.It has banned the burkah,another symbol of oppression and tyranny whilst we baulk at the idea on the totally spurious ground of civil liberties when the burkah is itself a hateful symbol of the crushing of civil liberties by reducing womankind to slavery and incarceration behind the veil.

France has complained for decades that the UK has been a safe haven for islamists,we have harboured toxic clerics and allowed islamist cells to grow like bacilli in our prisons,universities and mosques and now the chickens have come home to roost.We protected Rushdie from the fatwah but too many people who should have known better criticised him for writing Satanic Verses and this sent out a clear message that we would not stand up and defend free speech.

The reason France is better equipped to stand up against the Islamists is because it is a secular state with a constitutional protective wall between the state and religion.We have not and as a consequence we have a blasphemy law in all but name and the Christian establishment in the UK seeks the same protection from satire as the muslims do and the state has copped out to both of them on the ground of non discrimination of faith.

Is France Really the poster child for Liberty?

So they may march in solidarity today re the terrorist attacks but the above would indicate that the biggest threat to the liberty of France is not some stray Islamic head cases but  France itself.                    

Islam and Liberal Folly

The villains of the piece apart from Islam itself and the cause of its growth like a malignant cancer in the west is multiculturalism and political correctness.The left wing establishment has cow towed to minorities giving them effective untouchable status,has protected them from criticism with hate laws and curbs on free speech all in the name of tolerance and diversity.

As if all this were not bad enough we are now being told that the cause of terrorist atrocities such as in France is Edward Snowden for daring to expose what the state is doing to our personal data!We must give up yet more of our liberties in order to fight the terrorists whilst the authorities eschew profiling and put us all under suspicion.

Meanwhile toxic preachers inciting violence and fomenting terrorism are allowed to stay in the country in plain sight spewing their bile with impunity.

 

Islam the Untouchable

In Islam there is no separation of religion and state and as such Islam is a political as much as a religious construct.The fact that there is no separation of church and state in the UK complicates matters and it is shameful that this is so and disestablishment should have happened but Christianity has been through a reformation and does not pose the threat to civilization as unreformed  Islam does.

The point is that in Islam we are not only dealing with a deranged religion but a deranged political construct and whilst we may mistakenly make excuses for the first most people would not tolerate a political group with such fascist views but under the cloak or religion Islam gets away with it.This must no longer happen .It is flying under false flags.The creeping shariaisation like a slow moving cancer through Western liberal countries should have woken people up to this danger a long time ago and there are no excuses for burying our heads in the sand any longer.

The conclusion is obvious,namely that as long as Islam is unreformed it is incompatible with civilization let alone liberal democracy which puts it beyond the pale politically. In my next post I will highlight the reason we have got in this sorry mess with Islam in the West.

Empty Vassals make most noise

Islam is an assault on the mind,anti civilization,anarchic nihilism and it saw its full anti human expression in France this week.Its crazed advocates are a living contradiction in that they use the very products of the mind and civilization ie the intellectually conceived modern technology of the internet to destroy those values.They are fully cognizant with social media and use it to facilitate the havoc they wreak.They do not as the defenders of 'true' Islam seek to argue camouflage their obscene acts with religious parlance  but use the very moribund concepts of their faith to drive their actions.They are the true Islam which is why nothing but a full frontal assault on Islam will turn the tide of human misery it has set in motion.

Islam is an assault on civilization,on the human mind and until we recognise it, name it and call it out it will continue its deadly rampage in our midst and ultimately destroy us.

Taxation: Of Human Bondage

As a postscript to my Magna Farta piece a few days ago it now emerges that the document was agreed upon by the authorities on condition that taxation would be levied and accepted so we see that the much famed document on liberty that has been drooled over in hushed and sometimes noisy reverence over the centuries was no such thing as it allowed the slavery of taxation to be codified in law and so it is to this day,lending it legitimacy by association with such a hallowed document.

The longevity of a practice or tradition does not or should not lend it moral justification but as with Islam so too with taxation we find that this is far from the case and that the long passage of time does indeed furnish suspect practices with a public respectability and inviolability from criticism, acquiring the public's acceptance and acquiescence which makes the job of those who would question the morality and ethics of such things exceedingly difficult as one is fighting against centuries of entrenched custom,tradition,received wisdom and of course the powerful forces of vested interests and corrupt morribund institutions.

In the wake of the atrocity in Paris yesterday comes a veritable media tsunami of cognitive dissonance,weasel words and moral funk.Already we are told that the perpetrators were doing unislamic things in the name of islam, that there must not be a backlash,Marie le Pen must not be allowed to capitalize on this tragedy -in other words the very self-same craven cowardly pusilaminous,politically correct,defeatist masochistic expressions of cultural cringe that has led to this atrocity in the first place.

This moral decadence,this wailing and gnashing of teeth,this empty show of of resistance, this flight from reality and refusal to confront the evil in its midst will be the death of western liberal society and the capitulation to the forces of darkness, the triumph of Islam in its pure unreformed evil state is the only possible outcome.

Hitler,the EU and the birth of the 4th Reich

It has been evidenced that Hitler had drawn up detailed plans for a European Union and this should be born in mind on the day Mr Cameron goes Chamberlain-like to Her Merkel in Germany to try and squeeze some pathetic concessions out of her re EU powers.He will no doubt come back waving a piece of paper saying peace in our time as Mr slippery has past form in hoodwinking the British public over the EU but it will be the usual smoke and mirrors as he has already stated that he wishes the UK to remain in the EU and this is not a credible bargaining position.

Not that we should be seeking any bargains with what is essentially a profoundly illiberal construct,a pan European quasi socialist project that strips powers away from nation states and sucks them in to a supra national centralising power with the obvious objective albeit covert of creating a super state with a totalitarian reach.

In light of German arrogance it is more likely that Herr Jackboots will send Cameron home with a flee in his ear as she knows most EU countries resent the UK for its relative success and will expect her to give him short shrift.The cold hard facts are that the hegemonistic ambitions of Germany  sees the EU as a fitting vehicle for it mission creep of regional supremacy and its desired destination of a defacto Fourth Reich .

General Election.Its Shroud waving time

5 months to go before the election and  the scare mongering, threats, and warnings have begun as the two main rival gangs trade insults over who is best to run the criminal racket called democracy and who will get to decide how to spend the plunder taken from the taxpayers.Only a masochist could derive any pleasure from such a gruesome immoral spectacle.To complete the grizzly scenario is some ritual shroud waving by Labour over the dire fate of the NHS if the tories are allowed to continue with their austerity programme.People will die!This is the best political system devised by man,underpinned by the Magna Carta apparently.Three jeers for democracy.We can do better than this.At least a vote for UKIP will shut these morribund parties up and drag them towards something approaching reality.It will not solve the problem but it will be a step in the right direction.

The Cancer of Altruism

One of the arguments people use for altruism is that respectable scientific research has shown that those  who practice it have better self esteem,are happier and healthier.From this the inference is that such a benign activity with such beneficial outcomes for both the practitioner and the recipient of altruism should be implemented by governments in the form of taxation and redistribution of wealth to provide social care and support for those in need.

 This argument musters other research that shows that people with vast wealth are not even happy and therefor to remove some of the material things that lead to unhappiness amongst the wealthy would actually benefit them as well.Leaving aside the arrant sophistry and amorality of such an argument those posing it find themselves hoist on an internal contradiction and it is this: if being altruistic makes people feel good about themselves and provides them with moral uplift then they are obviously not practicing altruism since by definition altruism is the sacrificing of the self to others and this by its very nature cannot but be painful,unpleasant,incurring loss and suffering to the person who has sacrificed their well being to others.If it makes them feel good about themselves it is contrary to the very spirit and essence of altruism and is thus clearly not altruism as there is a selfish motive behind it namely to make the doer of good deeds feel good about themselves.

As altruism is clearly impossible to practice without complete anhiliation of the self it is obvious what the motive of those who argue for it is, namely, nihilism,the destruction of all values,the dehumanisation of man,the enslavement of all to all in an infinite spiral  of self immolation and death.

Magna Farta

Magna Carta, what's all the fuss about? It sounds like it was some stitch-up with monarchy that had precious little to do with defense of individual rights which was an alien concept back then and is given scant regard now.Expect to hear loads of liberals extolling its virtues which is a sure sign that it had not much to do with liberty as they all favour a big state that smothers the life and independence out of the people.

The dead give away is the reference in the Magna Carta to taxation as something that must not be levied except with 'common consent'.What the hell does that mean? It is the get out clause to raise taxes as long as some people agree that taxes will be raised which is exactly the liberal argument for taxes today.Weasel words,common consent have allowed governments down the centuries to tyrannize at will always claiming it is what the majority want.The Magna Cart has blighted the country by pretending to be a document securing the rights of the people thus making a written constitution redundant.We have seen the results as the last vestiges of our freedom have been wittled away.

What is the greatest threat to the human race

Is it ebola or islamism, two admittedly deadly viruses? Whilst they  pose a serious danger I believe the  threat they present pales into insignificance compared to that of the deadly philosophy of altruism and its concomittant, statism.This threatens to bring about a descent into global totalitarianism as all the pieces are in place - from the erosion of liberty,political correctness and an ever encroaching state which effects every so called free nation on earth to varying degrees and levels of progression.

 Just as it was philosophy which created civilization and allowed mankind to crawl out of the darkness of superstition and irrationality to rise towards the sunny uplands of the enlightenment, it will be bad philosophy that will destroy it and push it back into the pit of darkness,slavery and oppression.Whilst mankind rose upwards via the enlightenment it remains a fact that the baleful effect of religion casts it shadow on his ascent and in its secular version of altruistic statism threatens to drag him backwards into the self immolation and slavery of totalitarianism.

Unless man can break the bonds of serfdom by throwing off the shackles of an atavistic altruistic mentality he will again hurtle back to the past of the dark ages where mankind dwelt,in the black pit of slavery, reduced to the pitiful choice of being devoured by others or seeking whom he may devour.

Can't Pay? Take it anyway

The US reality show Bait Car where police entrapment of auto thieves shows them leaving a car unattended with keys in the ignition and waiting for an opportunist criminal to hop in to the driving seat and take off is instructive in revealing the moral wasteland inhabited by the crooks who only hesitate to seize the vehicle long enough to ensure that they can get away with it.

The range of the moment instant gratification mentalities of the criminals who are being videoed in the car has a  comical side especially when the police sirens start wailing and the looks on their faces turn from thrill and elation to glum and stunned surprise as it dawns on them that they are headed for another spell in jail, but it illustrates the unthinking impulse driven delinquent entitlement culture of the criminal underworld.

This same entitlement culture is on display in a UK prog entitled Can't Pay?We'll Take it Away about enforcement officers who collect unpaid debt but in the prog I saw about squatters who had taken over a large office complex and caused 100,000 of damage the interesting aspect was how they believed they had a right to do what they were doing,because the welfare state had taught them that they were owed a living and sheltered accommodation.They had none of their own so it was perfectly natural that they should seize someone else's property and claim it as their own.The shocking thing is that they were allowed to walk away presumably to find another property to ransack and appropriate when they really should have been arrested for theft and criminal damage and thrown in jail.Proof if proof were needed that socialism and the welfare state teaches people that they should be paid for existing and if they do not have what is their god given right they should seize it from others.

Churchill's U turn

Although excoriating socialism in all its works in 1945 Chuchill like a true conservative decided to accommodate this Nazi like evil and by 1951 when his party won back power from Labour he more or less continued with the socialist experiment on the British people, even increasing spending on the NHS and no attempt was made to reverse all the nationlisations that had occurred under the previous administration.It had to wait till 1979 before a tory leader in the shape of the redoubtable Thatcher reversed some of these catastrophic state controls, the intervening years seeing successive conservative governments continuing this appeasement and accommodation of socialism.

If ever proof were needed that in order to confront an ideology you need an ideology to do it this was it.The cowering tory pragmatists of the 50s and 60s were no match for the rabid ideologues of  Labour.So terrified of being accused of having an ideology to this day the tories will insist on being pragmatists as if this were any virtue when in fact it is responsible for destroying the freedom and liberty of the British people by refusing to offer an alternative to the toxic socialism of its supposed opponents.

This timorous cowardly refusing to confront the evil of the Left has had disastrous consequences in particular re the NHS and State education to this very day and continues to corrupt the polity.  

Public FArt

It is always grimly amusing to pop in to my local 'art' gallery to see the displays of vomit on the walls and the public earnestly trooping though to gawp bemusedly at the embarassing apoligies for art.Some of it is mild lefty agit prop,almost all of it is the product you would expect to see adorning the walls of a lunatic asylum.

At the foot of these visual excrescences is invariably some text by the artist by way of  intellectual justification or explanation and these make as much sense as the work itself and fittingly are right out of pseud's corner.All this may seem innocuous enough, a sort of employment programme for those with special needs but it is really a serious assault on cognition, cultural vandalism and tyranny.This is what happens when art is subsidised at a point of a gun directed at taxpayer's heads.It is the art nobody wants and hence the coercion to make them pay for it.

The Thatcher Frit

Recently opened government papers under the 30 year rule have revealed that the Margaret Thatcher revolution came to a juddering halt at the gates of State education and one paper dealing with possible privatisation or radical reform of the state system was marked in favour of maintaining the nationlisation of education.

This may have been the greatest failure of her rule as if real change is to be effected in a country's culture it begins with education and as a result of her unwillingness to confront the issue more generations have been blighted by the bankruptcy of the state education system which should have been completely opened up to the market to bring innovation  and academic rigour into the schools and to smash the union ideological hegemony in the classroom with the catastrophic results that have accrued.

We see the same hesitancy and loss of will over the NHS which Thatcher avowed was 'safe in her hands' and the disasters which that failure have brought in their train to know that the much famed radicalism of Thatcher had its severe limitations and that her tenure was more often characterised by caution than is generally appreciated.

The Black Racism of Lenny Henry

There is something redundant about inviting left wing personalities to guest produce the radio Four Today programme as it is clearly produced by such types the year round but anyway Lenny Henry went the whole hog and insisted that all the journalists on his watch today would be, as it is preciously put 'of colour'.

Martin Luther King's invocation to judge people not by the colour of their skin but the content of their character is forgotten and the ugly face of black racism is enthroned in its place.It is to be hoped that most people will reject the backward black quota ideas of Lenny Henry for the vile irrational immoral racist policies that they are.Shame on the BBC for sinking to new lows.

Liberty and its false defenders

Watching a  a speech David Davies gave on the history of British liberty I was struck by his omissions and his conflation of liberty with democracy.This is really one to watch as it is common and cannot possibly be accidental as it is so patently erroneous.

A system where a man can vote to have his neighbour's property and income purloined through taxation is one where liberty has long fled and yet repeatedly the liberty /democracy conflation is articulated in the correct assumption that this package deal will go undetected so embedded through repetition are the democracy worshiping incantations, inducing in the listener   the effect of near hypnotic subliminal programming.

Mr Davies completely omitted from his near hour long discourse any mention of taxation - in a speech on liberty!God, or someone defend us from false defenders of liberty such as he.

The Living =Dying Wage

The fantasyland inhabited by the Living Wage protaganists is brought into sharp relief with economic reality this week as the package firm City Link announced it is closing down and the unions are predictably seeking government bailout of the beleaguered firm.The idiotic Vince Cable has been appealed to and asked to intervene but as his grasp of economics and business is practically zero there will be no  enlightenment from that quarter.

The cold hard facts are these,namely that companies are weighed down by taxes and regulation and the result is not a living wage or even a minimum wage no but no wage at all.The unions will continue to huff and puff and no doubt Mr Cable will make all the sympathetic noises and stand on his hind legs and bemoan the capitalist system but it is his statist policies which have driven City link and many others to the wall.1970's style state intervention in the economy via wage fixing and government second guessing the economy was a bad bad failed policy then and it is being replicated now and the only solution is free market capitalism with no government intervention in the economy which alone will give companies like City Link a fighting chance. (But no one hold their breath of course).

Islam the cult of death

A religion founded on a plagiarism of a plagiarism of a plagiarism,that urges its members to kill others of the same religion but who follow a variant therof,blows up mosques,beheads people,rapes and pillages across the world and whose founder was an epileptic shepherd who slept with an 8 year old girl,Islam the cult of death deserves no respect and deserves only contempt but is treated sympathetically  by the very people who claim to be fighting a war against terrorism.It would take our freedom away with mass surveillance whilst tolerating in its midst those who would seek to destroy us.The war on terror is a lie and Islam the cancer that seeks to devour us all is allowed to flourish unchecked.2015 and the age of barbarism is upon us.

Socialism and its true intent

When people are prepared to sacrifice liberty for security they end up with neither.This much repeated quote reminds me of a letter Churchill's daughter sent him in response to his attack on socialism as referenced in my last post.She argued that as state control had been so effective in winning the war against Hitler why should it not be mobilised to win the peace and bring social security to the British people?

 I do not know what his response was if any to this but for my part I would say that when socialists draw a picture of what they would like to do for people in their interests it always sounds benign and innocuous as it is couched in such terms but this conceals to the untutored the means by which such a 'fair' and equitable state of affairs will be achieved,namely through state coercion,erosion of liberty, the trampling of individual  rights and a mass leveling down by which the most competent and able are  reduced to the same level of helplessness via state incursion on their freedoms as that of the most helpless individuals in society.

So to say that  Miss Churchill's comments were  disengenuous about the intentions of the socialists is too generous and that what the left do in general is seek to conceal their totalitarian impulses under a sugar coating of bromide euphemism and baby talk.

Churchill's Warning

In 1945 after  leading the victory against German socialism Churchill warned the British people of the dangers of English socialism via a general election win by the Labour party but they were drunk on victory and brushed aside his prophetic warnings.Chiefly he asserted that socialism was totalitarian in nature and that a socialist win would necessitate a stripping away of much fought for liberties going back centuries and that a police state eg a gestapo. would be required to maintain it.

He was scorned and Labour, led by the appropriately Lenin lookalike  Clem Atlee won a landslide victory and proceeded to nationalise all privately run businesses:energy,coal mines,health service etc.The State grew alarmingly and exponentially bigger than any time in Britsh history,taxes rose and liberty became a long distant memory.Gulled by a hideously distorted romantic view of Soviet Russia the Britsh people slowly but surely became socialised subjects,supplicants of a burgeonining state efectively selling their souls for a pair of nation health spectacles.

By the time people realised the horrors and truth of the Soviet system they were hoplessly ensnared in a socialist web of their own weaving and it was impossible to extricate themselves.Soviet invasion was not required for the British people had done it to themselves.

May the British people finally wake up to the absurdity of having a monarchy in the 21st century and divest themselves of this parasitic institution with its hangers on and  cease its fawning over this degenerate dysfunctional family with its entitlement welfare mentality.Selling off its possession and property bought with blood and tears and plunder over the centuries would pay off 7 billion of the national debt and free the country of its oppressive history and its forelock tugging obesiance to tyranny which the monarchy  is a symbol of today albeit in its delimited  form today. The mad would be king Charles with his eco obsessions and pro muslim sentiments has spent most of his adult life meddling in British politics and must not be allowed to assume the throne so it is essential for the monarchy to be dissolved before this happens.

Religion and its philosophical base

If a religious leader makes a speech on world affairs pretty much without exception its contents can be predicted as they follow a familiar trajectory unchanged for centuries and will contain certain elements varying only in minor deviations and detail as befits the events of the day.The unerring message will be that the problems of the world can only be addressed by unselfishness,self sacrifice,charity,love and that, translated into politics, this will entail:collectivism,socialism,redistribution of wealth,repudiation of profit, and all of this will be interlarded with an assault on private enterprise,attacks on individualism,materialism and the intellect.This was pretty much the message that the pope delivered in the EU parliament recently and needless to say it was met with rapturous applause.This phenomenon described can be the cause of only two things.Either this is a misrepresentation of the true message of Christianity on the part of the pope and this seems unlikely as he is a learned man or the very essence and philosophy of christianity is pure unadulterated evil.Assuming it is the latter then we need to examine what is at the heart of this philosophy which is common it must be said across all the main religions and probably all the other lesser known religions as well.The essence or base of this philosophy is of course altruism -the idea that humans beings exist not for their own hapiness and fulfillment but for that of  others who they must sacrifice  to and this and this alone is the only purpose to their life.And the only possible political translation of this philosophy is collectivism,the common good for whom individuals are to be sacrificed.All goverments justify their social programmes by the altruist code of self sacrifice invoking its religious roots and it is the prevailing ideology of the age and indeed most past ages.This is the moral evil that has to be confronted and it can only be done on philosophical grounds as this is the battle ground the collectivist have chosen to wage their war for centuries on man and the individualism that stands in their way to complete tyranny.

Statism versus the non- coercive State

When discussing the evils of statism with folk the standard response is 'so you are an anarchist then?' as if the only solution to an over bearing state were no state at all.The majority of such respondents say this out of genuine confusion but others deploy such an argument as a smear to deter people from exploring alternatives to statism.The answer to statism is a limited state,a capitalist system under the rule of objective law and moreover - and this is the essential element of the dynamic - a state funded by voluntary contribution,voluntary taxation if you will, thus removing the coercive element of taxation which is theft by the state.The state is not a necessary evil but a necessary good.Unlike most libertarians and anarchists the state is not viewed with hostility as something to be abolished but as the essential safeguard of freedom liberty and the rule of law within a capitalist system.The state has a monopoly of force and without it the anarchy witnessed in some african states and parts of the middle east would prevail.Imagine rival police forces and militias and rival legal systems fighting it out on the streets and you begin to see the anarchy and mayhem that would result from competing legal and police forces.

The liberal's much ventilated and public angst over the torture by western governments of suspected islamic terrorists speaks not to their virtue but their moral decadence.In war the objective is to win as expeditiously as possible in the shortest amount of time with the least number of casualties to one's own side by whatever means available including torture.The notion of applying queensberry rules to Isis is beyond the absurd.The goal should be to terrorise the terrorists.Even friends trot out the argument that to use the same methods as the enemy is to be no better than the enemy but even a cursory examination of this argument is to expose its fallacious not to say immoral nature.It is immoral because it covertly and sinuously seeks to obliterate the moral distinction between the perpetrator of violence and the victim.By the very act of daring to retaliate against the perpetrator the victim condemns himself to moral equivalence with the perpetrator.One only has to ask who benefits from such a rationalisation to see the evil of it.If by the very act of retaliating against an agressor the victim is rendered   automatically immoral the only outcome is paralysis of the victim and the triumph of the criminal.Hence the moral evil and depravity of the liberal argument that to fight the terrorists with their own weapons is to be no better than the terrorists.The only possible outcome can be victory of the terrorists and the end of freedom which is what we can observe on the world stage today.

Democracy and its sollution

Democracy is illiberal ergo it cannot be ended via the democratic process.If as it clearly does democracy violates principles of liberty freedom and individual rights its continuation or otherwise cannot logically be subjected to a vote.As individual rights are inviolable and flow from the very reality of the requirement of human existence then they cannot possibly be subject to the whim of  majority decision.You cannot vote to enslave your fellow man and even if 99 people out of a hundred wish to violate the rights of the hundredth this they cannot do.So if democracy is to be ended it will not and cannot be done via the ballot box.This does not mean violence will be inevitable but neither does it exclude its possibility.It is for those who think individual rights liberty and freedom can be extinguished from human affairs via the democratic will to justify their position,not those who reject such a  monstrous proposition.

Watching a re run of the history of modern Britain with Andrew Marr recently I was struck and amused by his absurd leftist bias when covering the birth of that socialist monstrosity the NHS.Barely could he contain himself as he drooled over this great achievement of civilization, totally ignoring the erosion of individual liberty it involved;the desired end of 'free' healthcare totally justified the illiberal means to get there,ho hum.To the left human beings are not individuals at all but mere ciphers,a collectivist blob to be fashioned and shaped,to be pushed here and there to achieve the egalitarian utopia of fairness and equality for all.The fairness of course turns out to be unfairness and the equality the equality of slavery.

The left and its strange sympathies

Watching George Galloway interviewing the daughter of Che Guevara on the Soviet TV chanel RT,  drooling and   almost wetting himself in the presence at one remove of such a hero of the Left it makes me wonder why the left romanticises totalitarianism and hero worships an obvious thug hoodlum and criminal like Che Guevara.Perhaps its the same reason why some people romanticise the mafia - the Godfather syndrome.Whilst the left would recoil in horror at the totalitarian Right they seem to develop myopia when it is their side doing the tyranny.The end justifies the means I suppose.If individual rights,liberty and freedom have to be sacrificed to create their leftist vision of 'fairness' then so be it.When such contempt for liberty and disregard for individual rights prevails it is hardly surprising that the result is a charnel house of death and destruction on an industrial scale.There is very little difference between the martyrisation and deification of Che and that of the the Jihadi sucide bombers and Isil whose militant Islamism is not so different from  Marxism in its colletivist dystopic vision..

Immigration and the debate we never have

One thing never heard in any debate on what we should do about mass immigration is the argument that we cannot have mass immigration because how will Tesco,Asda,Lidl,Pound shop cope with the demands of all those people coming into the country.No,we only hear the argument how can the NHS,our schools our transport,social services and all the state infrastructure cope with all the demands made upon it by the immigrants. The solution then is staring us in the face.Let all those services be run on capitalist principles,then there would be no shortages,no waiting lists.But of course we are wedded to a discredited 19th century ideology of socialism,so we end up vexing about how many people can come into the country ,in other words approaching the argument entirely from the wrong end .Open borders under capitalism are no problem but it is impossible when people are dependent upon inefficient corrupt state public services characterised by incompetence,protectionism,lack of innovation,  and stagnation.Capitalism is the answer to immigration,socialism is the problem.

What an ingenious thing democracy is! It enables you to steal from your neighbour  using the state as a proxy thief- via taxation but it also enables your  neighbour to steal from you! So everyone ends up the same except of course in the act of larceny everyone is morally depraved.No one has any power or autonomy,it has been taken by the state hence the inability of anyone to change the system that has us locked into mendacity with no hope of change unless the whole system of democracy is rejected and a system based on individual rights ie capitalism replaces it. Redrawing the Frontiers of the State for the 21st Century

Analogue politics in a digital age is no longer sustainable..Its so 20th century and the electorate are getting restless and UKIP are riding the wave of national consciouness that is febrile and restless and intolerant of the statist hegemonists of two party politics.Something better change is the now general consensus although it is not altogether focused as yet.The trajectory to a smaller reduced state requires  clear articulation and reasoned argument that has barely begun.The challenge is great but must be risen to and a good place to start would be to point out that a big paternalist state that we have now infantilises the population,strips them of independence,denies them their liberty and keeps them in a permanent state  of impotence and resentment.Tapping in to current discontent such a debate would lead to the conclusion that the state should do less and then a disussion on how its frontiers could be redrawn radically, emphasising individual choice in areas such as health and education,removing the state from these spheres and introducing the notion that taxation is more an unecessary evil than a necessary good.This is but a very sketchy brief unfleshed out indication of the direction of travel towards the small state predicated on individual rights and away from the statism that has gradually grown over the last two centuries to our  present very illiberal State.

The Devolution Trojan Horse

It has always struck me as strange that when people criticise goverment and politicians their main beef seems to be summed up in the oft repeated phrase 'polititicans are too remote' whilst for me my main beef is they are not remote enough.How about moving them to Pluto? So as a supposed remedy they are now proposing that old impostor/sop/palliative called devolution.This is the now desperate politicians last bid for holding on to the power they see slipping away from them due to public disgust at their corrupt thieving ways.In reality all devolution amounts to is the adding of further layers of bureaucracy to an overladen State and worse still bringing Big Brother to your doorstep,localising the tyranny.It is the same socialist mindset,just nearer to home in the form of Maoist localism.The devil is in the devilution and it should be eschewed as yet another form of statism with the cynical application of a fresh lick of paint and a modish name designed to hoodwink the untutored in the dark arts of statecraft.Devolution is classic divide and rule tactics by a morribund political class,pitching region against region and effectively balkanising the nation State; all the more easy to control and diffuse any genuine revolt by the people against the depraved political liberal elites.

The NHS Cult

A health system run on socialist lines? (yeah,that oughta work).Mr Milliband seemed to think he had a clinching argument with the redoubtable aformentioned Myleen Klas when he sought to justify the Marxist mansion tax grab on the grounds that the NHS needed more money.And Dracula needs more blood! A need is not a claim on the lives of others and Socialism,a discredited ideological 20th century mistake is no basis upon which to base a healthcare system - or anything else for that matter, as history amply illustrates.Why when across the world socialism has been jettisoned into the dusbin of history do we still persist in applying it to  our healthcare system of all things?And why does the political class insist on a system that has killed hundreds of thousands of people which if it were a private company would have been closed down a long time ago and those responsible thrown in jail? This is intellectual failure on a simply staggering scale,a betrayal on a scale impossible to calculate or barely grasp,yet so it is.

Of course it is not difficult to make Ed Milliband look like a prize plonker but Myleen Klass certainly did it with panache as she laid in to the Marxist Geek about his Mansion tax grab.If the electorate give Labour back the reins of power it really will be a case of it the dog returning to its Gromit.Welcoming back the people who bankrupted the country and want to do it all over again,yes it does beggar belief but never underestimate British sado masochism.The Americans had their war of independence to rid themselves of a tax mad king and we are paying far more now to the State and whilst it would be nice if we regained our liberty by words alone you cannot rule out the use of force.All great struggles for liberty have been bloody affairs and ours may be no exception.

Democracy fetishisation is the curse of the age.To be against the god of democracy is to be a heretic,a pariah.Yet what is this god we worship without question and the few that do few on pain of social ostracism? A tawdry squalid fix of majority rule -mob rule gentrified only by the ritual of the ballot box. The very essence of democracy is anti individual,anti liberty,anti freedom and it should be eschewed by all with an ounce of care for freedom instead of worshipped blindly and unthinkingly which is of course the way democracy encourages and wants people to behave - groupthink fashion.The only way to counter democracy worship is to explain how it is incompatible with our fundamental liberties,individual rights and freedoms and how it represents collectivism,coercion and tyranny by the State.

We are constantly told that the present system of democracy is what we must stick with because any alternative would be much worse and would involve something close to totalitarianism but this is the big lie and does not bear any scrutiny.It is the bugbear that is intended to close down all debate just as the establishment sought to silence the debate on the EU until UKIP came along and forced it on to the national agenda.We need a discussion on the NHS and the Welfare State and taxation just as urgently as we needed the dicussion on the EU and we must not allow the statists of the main parties to silence this debate.Some idiots and oportunists have used the present disatisfaction with the existing political order to propose what are antedeluuvian statist solutions involving an even greater erosion of existing liberties such as the ridiculous Russel Brand who seems to think the solution to an over weening State is yet more state,draconian taxes and a neo communist revolution.This is like proposing an intake of arsenic for indegestion and is beyond all rational debate.A serious plan to push back the state and slash taxes and dismantle vast swathes of the leviathan state can and must be proposed.It must be argued on moral grounds not economical ones albeit the economical benefits would flow from such proposals

Africa Deserves Ebola

For being backward,primitive,tribalistic uncivilized there is a price.It is called ebola.Many of these African countries have had independence from british rule for over half a century but have chosen the primitive socialist route and have paid a heavy price.Many in the West are justifiable sick of the begging bowl posture of much of Africa and to have to bear the wretched Bob Geldolf on our screens yet again talking his pious twaddle and lecturing the West instead of pointing the finger firmly where it belongs on the wretched dark continient,well it is nigh too much to bear.A plague on all their houses.Anyone who goes over there to treat the infected and come back to this country should be treated as terrorists every bit as bad as Isil.

Death of Politics

We do live in interesting times do we not.The end of politics is in sight.In an age of individualism people will simply not put up with political behemoths sprinkling their socialist manna down from a great centralist height on the collective blob of humanity.UKIP has driven a coach and horses through their collectivist hegemony,Labour and Conservative have effectively had it and its time to read the funeral rites over their rancid festering corpses.We have seen the future and it does not involve them.Of course they will not go quietly and there are mutterings from the Left about compulsory voting but this is a desperate bid by a discredited diminished rump of yesterdays power lusters whom people will no longer tug the forelock to. Democracy is in the dock and  the verdict of guilty is only a beat away.

I emailed Dr Peikoff as to whether there is a objectivist manifesto/constitution and whether there is a political objectivist  party in the US or anywhere else and if not why not  -and got an email back saying tersely: No. ! The Capitalist Party

The Capitalist Party totally rejects the mixed economy model that has been practiced by every Western democracy, allowing for variations, over the past 60 years or more.It further rejects the concept of democracy itself as it violates individual rights at its core and is a form of gentrified mob rule via the ballot box,denies individual rights and asserts the rights of the collective above them and destroys liberty therby.It has a twenty year programme to eliminate taxation entirely as it has rightly been called the tool of tyranny and this would give people enough time to adjust and not be a sudden wrench.It does nt advocate anarchy but its antitheisis ie capitalism under the rule of law.It does not see the State as a necessary evil but a necessary good as it alone can secure liberty by defending individual rights though its monopoly of force via the armed forces, police, and the courts under a system of objective law.The sole purpose of the State is to protect individual rights through its monopoly of force but it must not initiate force by exacting taxes for instance or it ceases to be legitimate.Statism is the predominant ideology of all existing political parties in the UK where we are focusing our campaign and there is little to choose between them as they all advocate mixed economy policies and operate under its premises to a greater or lesser degree and the arch compromiser with statism is conservatism which is quite happy to preside over a welfare state claiming that it can make it work more efficiently than the socialists! It could probably do the same for cannibalism and would if it thought it was a vote winner.Conservatism is a non philosophy and there is no point wasting any time on it as it is responsible for the mess we are in with its compromises and betrayals over many generations and anyone who thinks the way to capitalism is voting conservatism is hoplessley delluded.

If the vote is No the English should have a referendum on whether to get independence from Scotland rather than promising to stuff yet more English gold down Scottish throats. Why should the government decide what sort of healthcare is available making a visit to the hospital only slightly less dangerous than a game of Russian roulette?Why do we have to pay the government a licence just to watch TV -are we in North Korea or Cuba?Democracy gives each man the right to be his next door neighbour's dictator,it does not do what it says on the label and rather than seeking to export it to benighted Middle East hell holes we should take a good hard look in the mirror of democracy and recognise the ugly pinched quasi totalitarian construct that is and reject it.What would it be replaced with you ask?! Capitalism of course,unregulated,laissez faire.Not overnight but over a ten fifteen year period of transition.

The State of the nation

The firemen were on strike.I tried to go to the chemist on a weekday but it was closed because it was one o clock despite the fact that all the other shops in town remained open.When I pointed this out to the departing staff and inquired why this was so the fat one replied surlily that 'we have to have lunch'.I resisted the temptation of saying you look like you could do without lunch today and probably quite a few other days as well.Then when I went to the job centre to use the computer for job search I was told it closes at one pm and all the staff decant to the next town five miles away for some obscure reason and at this point I started to see a pattern to all of this, a common denominator and it is this: all these lazy poor service institutions are run by the State.The people who work in them (and I use that word advisedly) do not see what they do as a service to the public but rather as a facilitator to their own ends of having a job and consequently no care or heed of the latter is part of their thinking or mental landscape.The solution of course is to have all the above services removed from State remit and run on free market principles where the public would get a genuine service rather than the polite fiction that prevails at present like a Potemkin village of pretend service concealing a vacuum of incompetence,laziness,arrogance that is born and directly flows from the monopolistic hold on said services by the State.In anticipation of two possible objections to all of the above I will offer the following. Yes,chemists May be privately operated but are presiding over a government sanctioned monopoly namely the handling of prescription drugs.I was seriously inconvenienced by this and could not get the necessary medicinal aid to an associate as a consequence delaying such by an hour.The fire service should be a monopoly of the State some would say but it is hard to see why.The only consequence of this monopoly is the absurd union run Trumpton like outfits across the country that are little more than disguised welfare homes for the bone idle with absurdly over generous pension privileges and retirement rights and bizarre work practices that allow them to get full time wages for what is clearly very part time work enabling them to have another job on the side.The Left as usual are profoundly hypocritical in all of this,defending such restrictive practices and State controlled monopolies whilst forever lambasting the energy companies and other big businesses for holding 'monopolistic' power over the consumers when these are to the contrary an illustration of the proper functioning and operation of competition in the market - hampered and compromised in their operations to the extent that they are only by over regulation and state interference which is becoming of course ever more intrusive and inhibiting by the day.
