Political Realignment?

The solution to our political class's identity crisis is simple. Listening to the Conservative balanced book blue socialists and the Labour very unbalanced books red socialists it is clear that the two main statist parties should jettison their narcissism of very small differences and simple merge into one. We already have a defacto one party state and this would simply make it official.

Then a pro capitalist party could emerge to challenge the statist quo  and provide true as opposed to claimed political plurality into the system. It would also serve to illustrate how similar the two parties are ideologically, both believing in big government interventionism, just geographically in differently located on  the mixed economy spectrum. The destination is the same: more government less freedom.

This would provide such clarity in people's minds and enhance the public discourse to something approaching healthy as opposed to the present environment of doubletalk  intellectual murk and  tergiversation surrounding it, contributing to the distrust of the public and its general perception of a  shamed low dishonest political class.
