In all the debate about free speech re 'the cartoon' not one commentator or comment has been made about just who the prophet was and the life he lived. I have been told that he was a warrior and had sex with a minor but I haven't done my own research on the matter. One thing is clear: the life of the prophet M has not to my knowledge been examined in the Western media in any detail if at all - or have I missed it?
So why this coyness, this reticence about this apparently major religious figure in history we are all told must be revered and respected?Ask anyone in the street what they know about Mohummed and you will get back blank stares.
Could it be the Muslims want his life to remain shrouded in the cloud of unknowing?By all accounts there is a lot that would not bear close scrutiny about this shady character.
We do know one thing.Islam seems to be a religion of intolerance and those who appear in public professing to be followers of the Prophet behave in a distinclty hysterical hate filled undignified manner which is hardly a advertisement for their religion.Or perhaps it is? Perhaps Islam is just that: a religion of hate, a death worshipping cult.It certainly comes across that way.
Whenever they appear in public it is to burn books and flags, set fire to foreign embassies, issue death threats, bedeck their children with hate filled placards, and that is not to mention their Nazist Anti Semitism.
Perhaps it is time to recognise that such types do not belong in a Democracy and have them deported.Mosques in England's Green and Pleasant land it seems was an accommodation too far and have sown the seeds of hate amongst the Muslimistas.

There is an abundance of material available about the sort of life that Muhammad and his successors led and their writings, as well as the origin of his religion of Allah. Is the media so afraid of the repercussions from the muslims worldwide in their blatant lack of accurate information about Muhammad and Islam that they take care to express only politically correct statements, even though they are not in agreement with reality?
A democracy is able to survive in the hands of mature minds only, capable of respecting other opinions; unfortunately the democratic ideal is at odds with the islamic ideal, which seeks submission to the islamic uni-mode, if necessary by force.
The question remains whether muslims living in the West are capable of respecting the West's democratic ideals. From what I have seen here in Holland and in France (and also Australia) I have serious doubts about that. Criticism of Muhammad and islam is met by violent outbursts and murder in the name of Allah, all excused by verses in the koran which sanction the use of violence towards non-believers. This produces a dilemma: are we going to wait until any islam-opposing sound is slaughtered and no one dares to speak his mind anymore? Isn’t that the same scenario we have seen in the 1930’s with the rise of Nazism in Germany? This would mean the death of our democracies and the loss of our countries’ traditional values.
If the muslims are indeed incapable of respecting Western democratic values, then it would seem that economic and demographic apartheid would be the only option left in order to preserve ourselves.
Isn't it worrying and depressing JK how Dutch spokespersons are back pedalling furiously, cravenly apologetic to these barbarian hordes threatening to tear the very fabric of civilization?
Or is that not the majority view where you are?I heard nothing but craven truckling on the BBC towards this Muslim Mob like Chamberlain to the Nazis.
With the exception of a few politicians such as Geert Wilders, all we are told is the same old mantra, namely that Islam is basically a noble religion, that muslims are basically good people, and that there are only a few extremists who do not act in the spirit of Islam. All one needs to do is to take a good look at the hordes of muslims howling like mad wolves over just a few cartoons to see that there is something wrong with what the political elite tells us.
I guess politicians on the one hand are afraid of upsetting the muslims in Holland (in Amsterdam, originally a typical Dutch city, more than 30% of the population is muslim now), and on the other hand they are well aware of their dependency on oil from the Middle East. All they do is hammer on integration, but they do not address a far more important issue, namely, the opposing values of islam and democracy. If the two cannot be united, how on earth will the Dutch muslims ever support the value of democratic freedom? How can one integrate the east and the west?
The way I see it we are losing our countries and our freedom bit by bit; if it isn’t to Islamic colonialism, it’s the leftists that eat away at our freedom. Most of all I blame the leftists for forcing us into their multi-cultural straightjackets; they’ve been lying and selling out for years in order to get electorial gain.
It's a problem from hell.Cannot see the decadent liberal elite standing firm as they are already buckling under the intimidation from the Muslimistas.
They are emboldened by the Rushdie affair. We should have stamped on those cockroaches then. Now they have colonised Europe and it is looking like 1939 except our boarders have been breached and we are overcome by the alien Muslim hordes already.
I just saw on the news here in Holland a report about the fact that the papers in the UK have decided not to reprint any of the Danish cartoons.
Bob Satchwell commented that this was a conscious decision in order NOT to offend the muslim community in the UK. Furthermore he stated that any decision of foreign papers, such as the Dutch newspapers, to print the cartoons is of course an exercise in the right of freedom of the press, but in this case the media in the UK thought it would be better not to offend any muslims, so they refrained from publishing the cartoons.
In the light of attempts to stifle freedom of expression from the Blair administration and the lack of character among prominent British conservatives I cannot help but feeling that the UK has buckled under; what has happened to the UK that it seems to have been taken over by hordes of aliens and their leftist enablers? They seem to be completely in charge of the media in the UK.
I can get annoyed by Dutch politicians practising their brand of political correctness and left-wing biased news reports, but when I look at what is happening in the UK I realize that it’s worse in the UK. You have muslims on the street wishing you dead and your press is tiptoeing in order to avoid offending that sort of scumbags? What has happened to the UK, it used to be such a magnificent country.
We never had the liberal open debate that your country had with Pym Fortuyn, when he said Islam was a backward religion. No one would ever dare say that here.
I think it was the Rushdie case that really did it.People are afraid that if they speak out agianst Islam they will get a fatwah, planes will crash into Big Ben.Don't forget we had 7/7 and on Friday the protestors made it clear that there would be another 7/7 coming -and for something that happened in Holland!
When Van Gogh was murdered the classic terrorist tactic had its effect and now everyone is paralysed by fear and cowardice. They have won let's face it. We lack the will to drive these people back.
