Compassion By Proxy

I've spoken in the past about a favourite political pastime I have termed 'vicarious philanthropy',ie the giving away of other people's money in welfare or foreign aid.It is the stock in trade of all corrupt politicians who like to cut a moral dash on the political stage and win votes by vying with their opponents as to who can give the greatest amount of others people's money away.It is such an obscene evil it is hard to get one's head around the kind of amoral vacuum that the perpetrators of this fraud must inhabit.

In order for this organised looting of the people to be pulled off successfully it has to be accompanied by an artfully constructed language of morality so such words as compassion are deployed thus making it hard for any opponents of this wholesale plunder to oppose it on moral grounds.It will follow as night follows day that any abuse of freedoms by a government on its people will be automatically accompanied by an abuse of the english language in order to facilitate the smooth execution of said abuse and so is it here.

Homage To Catatonia

As a footnote to my recent pieces on the evil of Izlam I just note that people who are quick to anger as muslims clearly are, are surely contravening a principle that most religions teach as a fundamental,namely the exertion of self control.It is observable that Christians do not react to provocation when their faith is being routinely assaulted by all and sundry.They keep a dignified counsel and the idea that they would threaten the ridiculers of their faith with violence let alone death would be unthinkable.And yet these violent hysterical juvenile paroxysms of rage in response to every slight - real or imagined - against their prophet convey the distinct impression that muslims doubt their own beliefs and are not confident in the verity of their professed religion.(Small wonder!)Dignity and grace are surely the lodestars of any religion worthy of respect and yet in this basic fundamental and rudimentary precondition of faith Izlam is singularly and starkly lacking.

These are my beliefs and if you don't respect them I will kill you is hardly the response of a civilised man and yet this is the default position of Izlam to any criticism and that being so it is the reason I do not believe Izlam has any place in the civilized world and should be banished to the outer reaches of the earth.

What lapse of journalistic judgement it was for the BBC radio 4 to invite an Izlamist on to the Today programme who refused outright to condemn the imposition of death threats directed towards any purveyors of anti Izlamic sentiment in the media despite all the legendary persistence of John Humphries to extract it from him.He should have been ejected from the building,interview over as soon as he crossed that line but of course being the BBC he was treated with the same respect as any other normal interviewee on the programme.As Lenin once observed of his liberal supporters, these useful idiots would sell us the rope to hang them with.

Churchill, Greatest Conservative?

Ok it has to go to Churchill not so much for helping to destroy German Socialism but for pointing out that English Socialism would lead to the same loss of liberty and freedom for which he was roundly vilified but prophet-like turned out to be correct.He also wrote a brilliant expose of Izlamism which again showed how visionary and prophetic he was on a truly Orwellian scale.

Liberals,Communist crime Syndicate

The only good thing to come out of the coalition is the total discrediting and destruction of the Liberal party and the complete toxification of the brand.The conference season is upon us and the liberals are indulging in their customary pastime of attacking the wealth creators and threatening them with persecution and visits from State heavy mob taxation vigilantes.Like the Mafia that goes round pillaging businesses the Liberals are threatening to hunt down the entrepreneurs with their tax goon squads and rob them of the fruits of their labour to fund liberal welfare programmes.Clegg's disgrace and public humiliation is just reward for heading a party motivated by malice and hatred of the productive.

Advice from Richard Branson to would-be entrepreneurs: DON'T GO TO BUSINESS SCHOOL! Well,from someone who was a semi-literate,semi-numerate high school drop-out and has become one of the most successful business men of his generation I guess he knows wherof he speaks.Makes you wonder why people waste so much money on courses that are guaranteed only to part the students from their money.Get out there and run a business says Sir Richard, and learn by doing.For once practice comes before theory.In an ideal world all the schools would teach properly but this is not the case and the school of life is where it's at.

Muslims,Thin Skinned Rats

A muslim day of anger is a redundancy as for muslims every day is a day of anger.Outrage is their default mode.French cartoon depictions of their prophet - piss be upon him - have upset them.Well diddums,suck it up,its called freedom, clearly an alien concept to these primitive dark age troglodytes.It has almost become a duty for liberty loving folk everywhere to ridicule Islam and muslims just to show them that they will not silence free speech or intimidate us into self censorship.

Izlam is a death worshipping cult and needs to be exposed.Its pretensions as a world religion should be lampooned,its leader shown for the suspect character he was and no respect given to this evil brainwashing cult.

Yes the crazed adherents of this nonsesnse will be out in force rampaging and frothing at the mouth just as their false prophet was wont to do.The rest of the world should look on and laugh at its absurdity and send a clear message that this behaviour is infantile,delinquent and will not silence its critics but make them more determined to face down this crude primitive anti-human death cult of Izlam.

The way the BBC Today programme reported the video recording of Romney castigating the welfariat you would think he was caught confessing to beating his wife or something worse.Liberals have the capacity to be shocked by the expression of common sense and the reason of the man in the street and are quite affronted by it.

It is just a plain fact that most voters on welfare vote Democrat.It is the party of the dependants just as in the UK.Most voters on the dole will vote Labour to get more benefits.It is such a corrupt system but the Left depend upon it for their very survival.

There are no votes in independence which is probably why the Left favour a useless education system that leaves many unequipped for the world of work and thus dependant on the State for their survival.More Labour voting fodder.

Rather than putting American voters off Mit's railing against welfare bums should be the very reason he makes it to the White House come November.

Towards A Libertarian Tomorrow?

An encouraging sign on the British political landscape in the last decade or so, not in itself but in what it betokens, is the rise of small parties challenging the hegemony of the big 3 and snapping at their heels electorally.Parties such as UKIP,the Greens,BNP,even Respect all indicate that there is room in British politics for non mainstream parties to make their mark if they resonate with enough people who are sick of the status quo.The only political movement conspicuous by its total absence on the political landscape is a libertarian one.This is a mystery I have not delved into but it is a perplexing one.I have no idea what percentage of the population would respond positively to a libertarian party but it is sorely needed.

One would imagine that such a party in promising radical abolition of most taxes with an endgame of their total elimination would attract a lot of financial support from business big and small and even more from people who feel as they indeed must that the State has just got way too big and none of the other parties are even discussing this let alone proposing any reduction in the size of the behemoth state.I have never discussed this with any libertarians as I know of none but again I wonder and am baffled at their silence and non involvement in the political process.

How To Defeat And Destroy Izlam

Countries across the world have succumbed to the threat and terrorism of Izlam.Wherever it goes it strikes terror into the hearts of weak psychotic nations who have been gulled into believing that tolerance of evil is good.With the support of liberals Izlam has infiltrated into every country across the globe and like a malevolent toxic virus it has overcome all natural resistance to its virulent strain of death.People have doubted their own reason and sanity and have allowed themselves to be intimidated by the evil of Izlam and its minatory threats against them.

The unholy aliance of liberals with Izlam has swept all before it.Countries with a former impeccable record of adherence to liberal values have fallen like dominoes before the onslaught of Izlamic intimidation and abandoned those values for censorship,fear and silence.In the UK citizens can be arrested for even criticizing the evil death cult of Izlam.Communism and Socialism once considered defunct ideologies have joined forces with Izlam to destroy all human values and set people up for totalitarian rule.When Izlam triumphs of course its liberal useful idiots will be put to the sword.

The only way to defeat Izlam is to understand its power which is the power of intimidation.Not responding to the pressure to submit and conform,standing unmoved at the insanity of Izlam and its threats will destroy the power it has over its victims.Once the psychopatholgy of Izlam is exposed it will be very easy to deal with it.This may or may not involve additional action including the nuclear option.Its time to start terrorising the terrorists.

Izlam's Useful Idiots

The Left has got a long inglorious history of sympathising with totalitarian regimes most notably the Soviet Union and for best part of the last century it was the poster boy of every liberal wet dream.The Labour party had links with the Soviets,barely ever criticised it,Left wing intellectuals drooled over it,both Shaw and Wells were hugely impressed with the Socialist experiment and apart from the sole and notable exception of Malcolm Muggerdige of all people writing in the Manchester Guardian in the 1930's after a trip to the Socialist paradise of Russia and exposing the lies and Potemkin village grand deception, the Left almost to a man and woman saw the Soviet Union as the living embodiment of the Socialist utopia.

Now of course in a desperate and cynical act of hysterical revisionism you can hardly find a single fellow traveller who would admit to ever being enamoured with the USSR.To listen to them they were all violently opposed to the whole thing from the start.Anyway when 1989 rolled round and the Berlin Wall fell and crumbled and with it the Soviet dream the Left were bereft and did not know what to do with themselves.It was pretty much all over for them by then and the 90's saw the election of Blair and with it the consolidation of centrist policies and the ditching of clause 4 and the Left were routed and retreated into a sulking sullen silence.

It seemed like history had dealt the Left a final blow from which it would never recover.Then came 9\11 and they could hardly believe their luck or contain themselves.Before the dust had even settled on what were the twin towers it was gloating in public,America had brought it upon itself,had got a bloody good hiding.Historians,philosophers pundits all lined up to critique the US and soon were to join forces in the huge anti war demonstrations and so began the Blair demonisation and of course, the Left's pro Izlam coalition was born.The Left useful idiots, phoenix-like had risen from the ashes of history and had found another totalitartian monster to grovel to to.

The latest monarchy Kate furore does not show the institution in a good light.When the royals stop funding their lavish lifestyle with tax payers money they can have back their privacy.Until then the public owns their ass,and all points northwards.

Rabid Izlam:Elephant,Room

Still the pathological denial persists.It's just a few hotheads who in no way represent true Izlam.Yeah right.Everytime another astrocity occurs in the Middle East the same old line is intoned mantra fashion and no one believes it.There is no more a moderate Izlam than there is a moderate Nazism.Obama and Hillary Clinton come from a long line of masochist liberals who refuse to confront the reality of what Izlam is and represents - total human barbarisation.

Izlam is the ne plus ultra of nihilism,the desire for the destruction of all values and a return to the dark ages where brute emotion and blind worship of a supernatural entitity is demanded of sheep like people on pain of death at refusal.It was headed if we are to believe the records by an epileptic murdering paedophile.Its adherents betray all the characteristics of a cult,slavish obediance,mindless conformity and a willingness to sacrifice their lives to defend their mad cultic beliefs.

Wherever Izlam goes,death, carnage and genocide is never far behind.The rabid followers take their cue from the epileptic leader who had a penchant for little girls.Contrast this with the moral virtue of a Christ and we see the yawning chasm between Izlam and Chritianity although I hold no allegiance to any religion these days.

Ignorance and a complete denial of individual rights characterises Izlam.Where Western values teach dialogue and debate Izlam still knows recourse only to the edge of a sword.It has had no reformation,it is unreconstructed and poses the greatest threat to civilization.Until we recognize these facts and stop rationalising the barbaric evil of Izlam we will only encourage further atrocities.

The Arab Spring Time for Hitler should wake us all up to the folly of aiding any arabic country in the deluded belief that they want secular liberal values just like us.This weeks event in Libya should surely put pay to that liberal delusion.

'Christianity Began As A Cult' (BBC)

Could this possibly be true -that Christianity began as a cult? It was asserted confidently as fact on a BBC history programme about Britain.Say for a moment it was true then the only conclusion could possibly be that it still is a cult.Distance in time does not change the essential nature and origin of things ie longevity does not bestow upon stupid ideas any moral or intellectual legitimacy.A fallacy uttered a thousand years ago is still a fallacy today.The number of adherents a particular idea or philosophy attracts does not lend it any more validity either.Everyone used to believe the world was flat and those who said otherwise were considered heretics and were persecuted but they just turned out to be correct.(Incidentally the ones doing most of the the persecuting were religious.)So I think it is safe to conclude that yes,a) Chritianity did begin as a cult and b) it still is.Amen.

Time, distance,the hypnotic suggestion and power of authority,tradition and social conformity have all conspired to intimidate folk into believing something that were it appearing for the first time today would be summarily dismissed as the worst sort of cultic hysteria and supernatural doggerel and charlatanism promulgated by fraudsters and mountebanks playing on the credulity of the sperstitious masses - much in the same way that psychics ,tarot card readers,chanellers and astrologers do to this very day.

Boris The Big Government Tory

Borris is boasting about the £3 bilion plus he stole from the taxpayers to fund the Olympic games claiming it was money well spent and displaying the kind of cavalier attitude to State theft you would normally only expect from some potentate in a third world Marxist State in South America.This is the great electoral prospect many desperate frustrated and delluded Tories appear to be banking their hopes on in a post Cameron world which apparently for them cannot come a day too soon.

Crackerbarrel airport schemes,rumoured standing in a bi election in Richmond to replace the mad Green crazed Zac Goldsmith,it appears many tories would prefer Boris - cult of personality loose canon- Johnson to someone who displays principles and actually believes in something.

As if in harmony with Borris a union boss was crowing about how the olympic games demonstrated how the State could deliver even better than the market omitting to mention how his union had threatend to ruin the games if his mafia mates in the public transport system weren't bunged piles of money to avert a strike.If you steal money from someone and put on a very large party for all the down and outs you can find and then claim that it was all a huge success and demonstrated how theft was a good thing most people would think you were insane but this is in effect what both Borris and the Union bosses are arguing.Perhaps they both calculate correctly that the public have been too bedazzled by the spectacle to realise that they will have to pick up the tab for the bread and circuses of the last month.

Saint Peter Hitchens Is Wrong On Drugs

Much as I admire him for being a stout and sturdy defender of real Conservatism I have to say on the drugs issue I believe Mr Hitchens could not be more wrong.I would have thought that for even an ex Marxist like him the degree of State intervention required to police what substances people ingest would have given him pause but apparently not.Perhaps when one discovers that the admirable Peter also favours renationalisation of the railways (and perhaps the post office as well?)it is not so inconsistent after all.

It is noticeable that both sides of the political aisle have their own pet issues and areas where they favour State interventionism and neither are known for any consistency here.Tories tend to be broadly speaking non interventionist in economic areas but favour meddling in personal behaviour matters whereas the Left are more liberal in the latter but urge meddling in economic areas.Only libertarians are totally intellectually consistent and of course they are always conspicuous by their absence in UK politcs.

The argument for drug liberalisation has to be made on the individual rights issue and not the ridiculous one of being a way of reducing crime.You could argue on those grounds that burglary should be de-criminalised! It is the anti Big Brother argument that should prevail and which policy has led to the ridiculous failed and doomed prohibitionist approach that has had such comprehensively dismal results with historical parallels that only the ignorant can be unaware of.

Conservatism: No Such Thing As Individualism!

In the Deep End section of Conhome is an article repudiating Conservative support of individualism and it is a must read for all those who mistakenly hold that Conservatism and individualism are synonymous or in any way compatible.Of course being a Conservative attempt at 'philosophy' it serves up the usual mush of confused ideas in an almost deliberate attempt to obfuscate and confound the issue but if you are expert as I have become in decoding Conservative-speak the implications of said article are clear enough.Once individualism is obliquely critiqued in this fashion the way lies open for Conservatives to justify State intervention and big government solutions be it in taxation,regulation and general all round State meddling.Belittling and downgrading the role of individualism in the context of freedom cannot but have this corollary.

This is one more floating of trial balloons for Conservatism in its steady inexorable drift to the Left and should surely serve as a warning and reminder to any prospective Conservative voters that a vote for this party is a vote for more State,more controls and more government.

Paralympics Unintended Legacy

Proud as I am that I have not watched a single olympics event or paralympic either because I am opposed to State tax funded sport I have to say that the paras have served to expose the myth of disability which should have profound implications for the whole notion of welfare disability programmes.Now that it has been demonstrated so graphically just what disabled people can achieve the very argument that they should be patronised with welfare has been blown out of the water.They are just as much capable of doing some sort of job as able bodied people.

This not inconsiderable inference is what I and I hope the powers that be will take away from the events of the last few weeks which otherwise have induced in me at least ennui and irritation in equal measure at all the hype that has surrounded them.

Freedom Illusion?

Someone in conversation asserted confidently that no one is really free and I kind of got what they meant but thinking about it more it is nothing but a commonplace for every creature in obeying the requirements of its nature is constricted and circumscribed thereby.A human being cannot jump off a building and fly.A cat cannot swim underwater in the ocean,a dog cannot rebel against its dog nature and wile away its days surfing the internet etc.

All creatures are delimited in their behaviour by their nature and their requirements for survival through certain self sustaining actions.There is no absolute freedom as such,only within certain prescribed parameters. The prescription is dictated by reality.

The person in question was probably bewailing their human circumstances specifically in the need to work and earn a living.Yes it is true human beings have to trade and exchange goods and services.Right from the first humans living in caves,hunting and foraging etc certain actions were needed to sustain existence and so it is today in modern human societies.To bemoan the lack of freedom to do whatever you want in defiance of the requirements of your existence is to turn away from reality and indulge in wishfull thinking denial.

Of course some people have relatively more freedom than others.A Richard Branson versus someone working in Macdonalds for instance.We don't all come from privileged backgrounds, we have to make the best of our circumstances.So whatever freedom we can exert within those limits we are essentially free moral agents in the choice of actions we take to sustain our existence and pursue values compatible with our nature for the enjoyment and fulfilment of goals.

The only freedom we do not possess is the freedom from reality.If we choose to go against our nature we end up as a bum on welfare having others do for us what we have abdicated responsbility to do for ourselves.

Rabid Obummer Demagoguery

Obama represents the phenomena of the mountebank in its most advanced form and it is exceedingly depressing that according to polls at least half the American electorate would like to see him remain in the White house.Public 'education' has certainly done its job on them.He was at his usual and customary sociopathic Elmer Gantry tricks at the Democratic convention yesterday,seeking to promote his toxic and insidous un American message of envy and division along Marxist lines, manipulating base instincts and deploying his acquired sociopathic tools of plausibility and dissimulation to that end.

For all his many faults at least Clinton did not bankrupt the country in pursuit of his ideological goals.This president has no such qualms and only a return to sanity by the electorate in Novemeber with a swing to Romney will assure that he does not succeed.

Melissa Benn Is Madder Than Tony

Thankfully I have gone all this time without knowing of the existence of Melissa Benn daughter - spawn of Satan Tony.Yesterday that all changed when she appeared on a 'debate' on radio 4 with John Humphries about State education versus free market education.Needless to say the panel was stacked in favour of the State with one token free marketer in the form of the redoubtable James Tooley.He was contstantly talked over by the obnoxious Melissa Benn,ridiculed and generally baracked by her each time he attempted to get a word in edgeways.

No matter how appalling Tony Benn is with his Marxist ideology he certainly has more manners than his vile offspring who it turns out had a Marxist 'education' in a State school the name of which escapes me now in the 1960s which was characterised at the time as 'a Socialist Eton', disgracefully State funded.This is what Melissa would like for the whole country,its children sent off to Socialist brainwashing camps to be indoctrinated into the right way of thinking.The arrogance and the delusion of this evil woman had me reaching for the sick bag.

Thank God this government is attempting to free education from the malign death grip of the Marxised unions and councils and liberate them from State Sovietisation and the social engineers of human souls masquerading as teachers.For too long the likes of Melissa Benn have been infiltrating the educational establishment spreading their evil toxic ideologies and at last they are feeling the fresh bracing wind of competition and enterprise.No wonder they don't like it as the rude obnoxious behaviour of Melissa Benn last evening clearly demonstrated.

The Seductive Allure Of Conspiracy Theories

Re my last post and the furore it sparked on the Keiser site it has got me thinking about why conspiracy theories are so compelling to so many and I think in part it has got something to do with the decline of organised religion.People seem to be hard wired in their need for simple explanations that will resolve the complexities of life and they also require the Armageddon factor, an obvious throwback to religion.The end is nigh - and the banksters are to blame!It gives them a focus for their rage.

Conspiracy theories tend to attrtact those unhappy with their lot in life.Now they have someone to blame,a focal point for their hitherto unfocused rage.There appears to be a need for a hate figure.This is the theme of Orwell's 1984 and the State recognising this gives them four minutes of hate where they can rail and vent against the hated figure on the screen.

Once people have been captured by these false salvation artists they will go to any lengths to defend their false belief and will not take kindly to anyone who exposes the ridicuous figure behind the curtain pulling their strings whether it be an Icke, Keiser or whoever

Max Keiser Syndrome

Having watched the clowning of Max Keiser on RT over the years I have come to the conclusion that his ilk of alarmist conspiracy theorist declinists are the modern equivalent of the soothsayers and withcdoctors of medieval times with their end is nigh doomsday scenarios.Keiser lends his rantings a patina of pseudo intellectuality by invoking his past experience on Wall St but this is a mere cover for his virulent anti Americanism and anti Capitalism although he claims that he is for pure Capitalism but his constant ad hominem abuse of Ayn Rand clearly belies this.

As RT is a propaganda vehicle for Putin's Russia it is hardly surprising that the latter is the elephant in the room that never gets mentioned or critiqued by Keiser proving that he is every bit as much in the pockets of vested interests as the people he lambastes.With his sidekick Stacey Herbert they vye with one another to see who can excel in florid rhetoric and absurdist caricature of the financial world but underneath the bombastic hyperbole is the same left thinking that charcterises most conspiracy theorist purveyors.

Politicians And God

People often accuse doctors of playing God but they are the height of modesty compared with politicians especially those on the Left who want to control every human action from 'the cradle to grave' and see it as an affront and an act of heresy if anyone demurs and questions their divine right of intervention into the minutae of people's everyday life.

Most Conservatives it has to be owned are not much better and go native as soon as they get into office and take to empire building with little compunction.They also do not like criticism as I have found to my cost over at Conservativehome website brainchild of Tim Montgomerrie as I have now be banned from the comment section due to the fact that I critiqued the party from a libertarian perspective.It seems they are more comfortable with the Lefties who infest the comments than me which I suppose should be taken as a compliment.It will free me up to concentrate on political activism and my foredoomed failure to save Conservatives from themselves will hopefully serve as a lesson not to waste time on lost causes in future.

Woman's Hour Pisses Me Off

Here is how it works when it comes to any 'discussion' about Ayn Rand in the mainstream media.The host invites two people on who are hostile to Rand and gives them free rein to vent and excoriate by slur distortion,defamation and disinformation.Not one but two 'experts' are wheeled on to do the hatchet job.

You might suppose that at least on a public service broadcaster such as the BBC that some attempt might be made to have one of the guests in question be sympathetic to Rand and at least put her arguments forth honestly for the sake of balance which the BBC is always at pains to assure us it strives for.But no,in a blatant non balanced fashion Ayn Rand bashing is what we were treated to on last weeks' excerable Womans Hour on radio four.

It is standard practice as I have mentioned before when it comes to Rand but really it applies across the board no matter what the subject under discussion is.The BBC has got away with this egregious tendentiousness for half a century and the only solution would be the one Rand herself would advocate namely the removal of the TV licence from the BBC so that it can be free to proeselytize its 20th century collectivist credo without benefit of tax payer support.

How To Get People To Love Politicians

To change the near universal hatred and contempt the public has towards politicians into something approaching love or at least non hate is very simple.People hate politicians because they are paid for out of the public purse ie through taxation.If this were not the case and politicians had to rely on individuals and groups financing them through voluntary contributions all the anger felt towards politicians would melt like snow in the summer sun.

It is obscene and profoundly undemocratic and a violation of individual rights that anyone should have to finance a politician who has opposite views to them.This works both ways of course.Just as I resent having to finance George Galloway a dyed in the wool Lefty would resent having to finance Cameron and his Tory cadres.My solution obviates this problem.Yes unions can support Labour if they choose but the caveat being that the legal immunity they got from Labour 100 years ago regarding immunity from striking would have to be repealed.If someone goes on strike that is a breach of contract and the employer should have the right to sack them immediately.

The answer to the argument that no one would want to be a politician if they were not paid out of the public purse is very simple. In a Capitalist system there would be very little for politicians to do and only a small percentage of the present commons intake would be required.Power lusters would have no scope for advancement as they would have very little to offer their prospective electorate in terms of bribes and welfare bounty and they would have to find expression for their psychopathic impulses elsewhere,perhaps in the criminal underworld which would be their natural milieu.

This of course also obtains re big business support for Conservatives.As there would be no meddling in business under a true Capitalist system businesses would not have to pay Conservatives what is effectively protection money to defend their interests from punitive taxation and bureaucratic Red tape.The whole lobby system would cease to exist and the grubby compromising backroom deals between politicians,unions and big business would be but a dark and distant memory.

The shiboleths of democracy will no longer enthrall,the siren call of a socialised existence will lie exposed as the power lust of megalomaniacs and the nightmare of a dystopia without end.The liberal democratic illusion will be shattered,scales will fall from eyes,charlatans will stand naked, their game exposed, claims scorned, tricks unmasked.

1%, Persecuted Minority

Minorities are regarded with mystical awe and respect in Western Democracies -unless the minority in question is the 1% business community that provides half the total taxation take.This minority is persecuted mercilessly on a daily basis and has opprobrium dumped on it with ritualistic zeal by practically everyone

It is open season on the wealth producers and the only wonder is why they put up with it.Why don't they just shrug or at least organise and start a union and go on strike or something?Beats me.All we ever get from the producers movers and shakers is silence or an apologetic defence of their right to exist.They need some cojones.

They of course have been silenced by the thing I alluded to in the post below -the insdious toxic debilitating guilt creating power of altruism to hypnotise and subjugate all before it.Unless we can break the hypnotic power of altruism to paralyse all resistance and expose it for the self serving lie it is the wealth producers will continue to be persecuted and degraded and conmen of social parasitism will continue to enslave the productive through the tools of guilt and Socialist rhetoric.

Taxation Human Bondage

Man's desire to enslave others is a primitive impulse that has been manifest throughout human history and can only be checked by law. But when the law itself permits this barbaric act what recourse can there be for the victims but the use of force to throw off such tyranny?

It is recognised that a man has the right to self defence if his property is violated by burglars and that he can repel them with force if necessary.But what does that avail him if the biggest burglar of all ie the State is busily robbing him all day long and he is without the means to repel it due to its monstrous power and reach?That is the ultimate definition of slavery yet for the most part of history this has been and continues to be the state of affairs across the globe and such boundless tyranny and State terrorism -for such it is - has been met with a mute and servile acquiescence and hardly ever challenged on any serious sustained and concerted level.We have to examine why this is so.

What has disarmed man throughout time and prevented him from throwing off the yoke of tyranny and reduced him to a state of servile supplication and obesiance to the ravenous parasitic taxing State on every continent that presumed to call itself civilized?What hypnotic thrall has subjugated the nations and led them by the nose to the shackles of human bondage via taxation?Surely they have been duped on a scale barely comprehensible to the imagination.A coup by the powers that rule on this scale must have suggestive post hypnotic conditioning verging on animal magnetism in its thraldom.

It is one thing to shackle people with actual chains but to be able to achieve this feat without them shows a sophistication and control beyond the run of the mill and we have to look beyond the crude application of brute force and turn instead to the greatest power of all namely ideology.If you can convice a man that his property does not belong to him,that he is selfish to enjoy it without sharing it with others you need not a gun.He has already been disarmed with sophistry.Just make him feel guilty for his achievement and success.Tell the child they must share their toys with the other children and you have the adult slave.

Here religion plays a major role in softening up the victim for self sacrifice as most religions teach this monstrous evil of altruism.Then it is given modern application by a secularised version called Socialism and Liberalism and the job is done.

Until people reject this evil creed they will continue to be enslaved by the terrorist State and millions will continue to be sacrificed on its altar.Individuals who seek to rebel will be silenced by vilification or jail.

Minimum Wage - Creator Of Youth Unemployment

The cause of youth unemployment which has gone up exponentially is the introduction by Labour of the minimum wage and it should abolished immediately.If a young person works 40 hour week on just £3 an hour they would still be bringing in twice what they get on benefit and it would be tax free but most importantly is the job experience they would get and a foot on the ladder and the opportunity to rise in the company through hard work and diligence thus setting them on the first step of a career path -all of which is being denied them as they are left to rot on the dole.

Anyone who truly cares about youth unemployment would support the scrapping of the pernicious job destroying Socialist minimum wage and free the youth from this State created blight of youth unemployment.

UK Tax Serfs And The Orwellian State

There is debate about whether to erect a statue of Orwell outside the BBC but the latter has suggested apparently from an irony free zone that it would be too political.It would on the contrary be most appropriate.Orwell worked at the BBC and many think his novel 1984 was partly inspired by his time there.With its monstrous reach and omnipotent sway over the airwaves the BBC had and still does have more than an air of Big Brother about it.

Orwell of course was something of a prophet and both Left and Right lay claim to him with some justification on both sides but there is no doubt his predictions have been fully realised.UK tax serfs show alarming characteristics of Stockholme Syndrome -they love Big Brother.Snitching on one's neighbour to the State is standard practice and the Welfare Socialist State has produced an envy between people re taxation that the State encourages and benefits from.

As to the statue in question,Orwell himself an inveterate iconoclast would be smiling wryly at the thought of it but regarding location the BBC has to be the most suitable and it might give the employees of said Left wing behemoth pause as they enter the building to reflect about the need for intellectual honesty and integrity re their journalistic standards.

Teachers Unions:Beyond Shame

It would be risible if it were not so darned serious how the teachers unions have come out in support of their poor pupils whose exam results aren't so good this year because very belatedly some rigour has been introduced into the system after decades of abuse and corruption and marking up grade inflation.Any further upward inflationary trajectory and it would have been on the Weimar scale.

Now there is talk of legal action which is further demonstation of how delinquent and morally bankrupt the Marxist teachers union are with their levelling down egalitarian Socialist agendas and how right this governemnt is to decouple the State schools from councils who are politically driven and don't give a damn for their charges future but are hell bent on dumbing down the youth with their 'everyone must have prizes' mentality.

Objectivists- Ivory Tower Intellectuals?

The abject failure of Objectivism to make any inroads culturally and politically after 50 years since its inception does raise questions of its practicality and whether or not its advocates are too much ivory tower intellectuals to take the battle into the public arena.

Ayn Rand herself was reluctant to get into the weeds of policy prefering instead to speak in broad principles and leave it to others to fill in the gaps but this has left a yawning lacunae in Objectivism as no one as far as I can see has taken up the challenge of transmuting it into concretes.They seem to have taken the cue from Rand and avoided the issue arguing as she did that too much intellectual groundwork and disemination had yet to be done to prepare the way for an Objectivist universe. But does that still apply half a century later?

Peikoff argues correctly that promoting Objectivism cannot be considered a career and anyone who spends their life teaching people that self sacrifice is evil has by virtue of their actions become an embodiment of altruism!

Is this the crux of the issue,the Catch 22?Someone said that trying to organise libertarians politically was like trying to herd cats.Speaking of which Rand of course despised the latter and totally disasociated herself from that movement accusing it of being irrational and plagiaristic and corrupting her teaching with perversions and shortcuts resulting in an incoherent mish mash of contradictory floating abstractions.

Of course Conservatives would and do argue that Rand was an extremist whose ideas were impractical and as they put it, that is not how things can be 'in the real world' which translated means the only way is compromise and half measures and the mixed economy,a mixture of freedom and slavery.Whilst that is a cynical and contemptible position it does behove Objectivists to get their finger out and start advocating in a way that they have up to this point lamentably failed to do.

Evil And Its Nemesis

In a deeply moving documentary programme last week with Kirsty Young random acts of violence and their aftermath was the topic and the triumph of the human will in overcoming such arbitrary madness and evil.Victims of taxi driver Raol Moat,Real IrA,drive by gang motivated shootings,Brevik and many others were included.Most people realised the importance of not hating the perpetrators and therby allowing them to continue their reign of terror through psychological trauma and conditioning.

Human beings have a capacity to allow rage to overtake them and when this is combined with the use of firearms the consequences can be devastating.In most cases the rage is incoherent and non specific and not targeted at a clear object and innocent people get caught up in the explosion of rage.In Brevik's case it was more calculating and delimited but no less innapropriate.

The salutary lesson to be drawn from these tragedies is the very rarely touched upon one of the need of self control and how the lack of it can lead to disaster and mayhem.We can see this in the phenomena of road rage and many varieties therof.

If all the inhabitants of our jails learned self control and non reaction to stress we could have empty prisons.On a smaller scale it can be observed in Big Brother where the competitors get caught up in petty rivalries and bitter confrontations and bullying.

Perhaps the schools should teach the art of non intimidation and we could breed a race of supermen but then there would be no need for most of government!Indeed society and the powers that be have a vested interest in people running amok and out of control because it makes them look like the good guy and gives them the excuse for draconian laws and controls and big government.A nation of calm strong non intimidated people the State could not handle.It prefers drugged up angry folk it can control with handcuffs and dismiss as lunatics.

Age Of Unreason

It is amazing to witness people's inability to reason in debate and it is not just the Left where you find this.Conservatives have irrationality as their default mode too and it runs through their dna.Take their defence of Monarchy - the random arbitrary rule of despots down the ages. They love it and seek to justify it with wooly ratiocinations interweaving tradition worship and the mysticism of divine rule and noblese oblige.Denial pathology in action.Small wonder they have such scant regard for freedom and liberty and are happy to perpetuate the tyranny of mob rule we call Democracy.

I do make a distinction here between European Conservatives who are more like Socialists and their American counterparts who are more pro freedom and Capitalism.

There has been some grim amusement to be had in watching Conservatives go through contortions to make excuses for delinquent Harry-Hal and it does make one wonder what he would have to do before they passed censure.Let us sit down and talk of the madness of kings and queens and their supporters.

Brevik And Liberalism In The Dock

Norwegians are liberal to the end.Brevik mass murderer gets 20 years, illustrating perfectly the inherent contradictions of a philosophy that is so soft and weak it will destroy itself with tolerance.Like the British the Norwegians may come to see, hopefully before it is not too late, that their much famed tolerance was nothing more than foolhardiness.

But there is a complication here.Brevik was right.Norway has bent over backwards to accomodate muslims just as the whole of Europe has and it has been a ghastly mistake for which it has paid dear.

And it hard to imagine such a thing today even in Europe as a holiday camp for a Socialist Hitler youth group where they go to get indoctrinated into multiculturalism and appeasment to Izlam.Brevik took the view no matter how wrong he was in executing it that it makes sense if you see a vipers egg to crush it under your heel for fear if you do not you will end up with a whole colony of vipers.The West should wake up and smell the Izlam koolaid before it is too late.

The latest Harry incident is one of many instances of innapropriate behaviour and hopefully one more nail in the coffin of the British monarchy.This parasitic elite who live at the expense of the taxpayers and who treat them as their feudal serfs are simply beyond the pale,a corrupt criminal mafia-like gang who through bloodlines have tyranised the British people over the centuries and have a long bloody history of mayhem and genocide behind them.They belong in the trash can of history.

How dare they seek in their delusioinal arrogance to muzzle the press and how the latter have grovelled and lickspittled to them in obsequious compliance.

Ian Bradey and the Criminal Injustice System

Last night's programme on Ian Brady Moors murderer could have been an hour long advertisment for restoration of the death penalty.This piece of human garbage has cost taxpayers millions of pounds in drugs and litigation which he seems to specialise in and he has more carers and social workers running round him giving him 24 hour care than any war widow on a pitiable pension and the whole thing is a moral obscenity.They won't even let him die which has been his wish for the longest time.What kind of insanity has gripped the criminal justice system,what kind of people are running it and making such bizarre decisions?Only mad liberals who seem to run everything and who believe that psychopaths have rights too.

Politicians Locked-In Syndrome

I have some time for Simon Heffer which is why I was surprised to hear him say on the radio that it is for politicians to decide whether a person has a right to end their life if it has become insupportable due to an incurable illness, specifically in this instance the man with locked-in syndrome who has just recently had his case delayed.

It is an inalienable individual right to end one's life if one considers it has become unbearable and it absolutely should never be on the say so of any third rate politician or judge for that matter

The idea that a politician should determine that a person carry on living in abject misery and suffering is positively obscene and profoundly totalitarian a concept and methinks Mr Heffer should really know better.

Gray's Anatomy

John Gray who appears on Radio 4 Point of View is typical of the Left wing intellectual establishment in his use of low dishonesty in public discourse by deploying the technique of subliminal insinuation to smuggle across his views rather than direct explicit exposition.He was at it again last night in a rambling piece ostensibly about the enduring appeal of the fictional character Sherlock Holmes but this was a mere pretext to launch an assault on reason and to denigrate its role in civlizational progress.

To mount his argument agasinst reason he bizarely cited Communism and Capitalism and their respective failure re Soviet Union and the present banking crisis to support his case that reason has fallen down on the job of directing man to the bright sunny uplands of progress.Bizarre because the idea that Communism was based on reason is absurd.Lenin railed against reason at every opportunity referring to 'miserable reason' in his contempt and excoriation of it.Hitler too the other Socialist based his philosophy on blood lines,irrationalism and mysticism.

Then we come to Capitalism which has allegedly failed according to Gray but if we examine our present pass what emerges is the failure of government in bailing out the banks thus making it doubly likey that they will not learn their lesson and will comitt similar follies again figuring that they can play it deuces wild with their reserves and the tax payer will bail them out again.The whole point about Capitalism is that if it screws up it pays the price and suffers the consequence of failure,not that the State steps in and gives it corporate welfare and a bailout.

I do not know the name of the philosophy the likes of Gray peddals,it could be called skepticism for all I know but it involves the argument that reason cannot soley guide a man's actions because it is inadequate. What I do know however is the implication of it,namely that we rely on some non rational entity,be it faith,or intuition,or hunch which can only lead in one direction -back to the Middle Ages,where reason was unknown and gargoyles and mystical beings ruled man's actions with all the horrific consequences that flowed from that abandonment of the mind.

I have no problem with the likes of Will Self and John Gray appearing on Points of view.It would just be nice if the BBC would invite on intellectuals from across the aisle so that the other side of things can be aired.

Pussy Gaol-Or Not

I don't hold any brief for Putin who appears to have dragged Russia back to its old Soviet ways in some respects but on the issue of public protest I think he has got it right.Many people in the West make the common mistake of conflating freedom of speech with the right to express it any place they choose be it a church or so- called public space, the latter of course being any oxymoron of which more later.Your right to express your views does not give you licence to come on to my property uninvited and express them there.So it is with the girl punk group Pussy Riot who made their protest in a church violating its laws and rules in a crude egregious and inapropriate way.The sentence they got was of course draconian and no doubt politically motivated but the fact remains they had no right to stage their protest where they did.

Here we get to the crux of the matter (pardon the pun) for it is on the issue of'public spaces' and the inherent ambiguity of the concept that so much mischief is made for the conflict of interests it throws up is insoluble because all the while it occupies this indeterminate status of no man's land the public space becomes a battleground for contending protest groups whose conflicting demands cannot be resolved.

This dilemna can only be resolved by two means,namely the Putin way of banning political protest in public across the board or privatising all public space leaving it for the owners of the land to determine who can and cannot protest on it which of course is the resolution I favour.All the while we have public space the right solution is to ban all protests there.

School For Failures

Like so many kids I hated school and it was a complete mystery to me what it was for and what I was doing there.All the teachers appeared to be speaking in a foreign language and what was going on outside the window always seemed more interesting than what was going on in the classroom even if it was just passing traffic on the main road.It was a catholic secondary modern but even so the lessons were over my head, modern maths being a particularly arcane mystery to me.So I left school feeling somewhat cheated and drifted in and out of dead end jobs and to this day have never had a trade or career and have had to resort to living by my wits to some extent.

Of course each individual has to find their own way through life but the schools do not help or facilitate here and if anything can be a road block to progress by screwing with children's minds and crippling potential by uninspired lessons and an incoherent disparate curicula that can stunt growth and impair and arrest cognitive development

It was only due to the fact that I discovered books at about 14 that I was able to glimpse a new world of ideas and literature that would enable me to have something approaching an intellectual inner life.One day my mother told father to take me to the library when she discovered I had never actually read a book.It may in retrospect have been a fatal error as I was later to be accused of forever having my nose in a book and not doing anything practical but anyway at the time I was not relishing the prospect of having to read a book.I grabbed at random a few titles,one a huge coffee table book of the Monkees which had mostly photos in it and little text but I did include a proper book as well and later that day idly opened it and soon became engrossed in the story of a junior James Bond type adventure involving a geek who would climb out of his bedroom window at night and solve crime and then go back to his geeky persona come morning.I was hooked,I wanted more of this stuff.

A world to escape into,adventure excitement.Ghost stories,horror, stories,crime,I seemed to go from genre to genre,exhausting one then discovering another with whole yawning vistas opening up before me until I came across a book by Iris Murdoch called Bruno's Dream and it was like nothing I had ever experienced before,a weird world that yet was somehow strangely familiar imbued with a dream like quality peopled by odd characters with deep psychological flaws,just plain weird but intoxicating.I became a Murdoch fan.Then it was Truman Capote,Hemingway, Fitzgerald,Dickens,Shakespeare, Kafka Proust,Joyce et al.

I may now in retrospect be very skeptical of these writers but at the time they offered an alternative reality that was far more interesting than the mundane everyday world that most people appeared to inhabit.

I don't know what it is like in schools today forty years later but from what I hear there does not seem to have been any improvement at all and generations are being turned out disaffected and ill equipped to meet the challenges of global competition.Our universities have dumbed down,grade inflation has destroyed the qualifications system and a radical overhaul is now under way to turn things around.Will Gove succeed or will the institutionliased inertia of a Marxised union driven State education system mean that stasis prevails and the rot continues.We will have to wait and see.

What Philosophy?

Most people don't sit down and ask themselves what philosophy they are going to live by.They usually hold a mishmash of contradictory positions picked up, often unconsciously, from the culture and media around them if not from the religion they have been brought up in which they may or not reject.It is strange that we live in a culture where it is not even considered important to have an explicit philosophy and indeed such is frowned on as dangerous and indoctrination.This allows the education establishments ironically to insidiously promote a philosophy in a covert way undetected and with thus potentially destructive and pernicious results.Examples of such would be multiculturalism,environmentalism which are both Marxist at root.

Without a proper grounding in philosophy the student is a prime target for such indoctrination and the history of philosophy itself is anyway a graveyard of misbegotten irrational intellectual constructs totally divorced from reality and are mere corruptions of religion and mysticism which students will traverse at their peril.

I can only point the direction of travel which a student of philosophy should take namely a belief system grounded and rooted in reality not an artificial construct concocted out of thin air by a so called intellectual.

Is Objectivism For The Common Man?

One of the criticisms of objectivism the philosophy of Ayn Rand is that it is elitist and has nothing to offer the common man and on the surface this argument may appear to have some validity.If you are an ordinary working stiff,never aspiring to anything beyond your lowly station at Wallmart or Macdonalds,both honourable institutions I might add,then it is hard to see immediately how objectivism will speak to your situation.Objectivism, this argument goes,is for the high fliers,the ceos, the movers and shakers. All the main characters in Rands novels are super heroes of industry, prime movers,not the zeros commonly represented in modern fiction.

So yes,on the surface Rands philosophy of superman may have little to offer Mr average but even the latter likes to hero worship,hence the popularity of batman and other fictional heroes.We all need something to aspire to. Kitchen sink drama and reality programmes are well and good but they do not serve our deep rooted spiritual need and hunger for the depiction of greatness which is why the olympics enthralled so many.The race is to the swift and a philosophy that champions rather than seeks to denigrate and besmear them is a universal human requirement and sustenance no matter what station in life one occupies.

My one caveat with objectivists is that they do tend to fetishise work and speak of it as man's highest value but for the vast majority of people work is a means to an end namely survival,to pay the bills and correct me if I am wrong but I am guessing that a huge majority of the working population alas do not wake up every weekday morning and say yipee I am going to the thing I love,my job.

Brand Of Gibberish

Claiming that drug addiction is a disease rather than a volitional choice is the standard and pernicious cop out-of junkies and their apologists and it was the tired old canard the preposterous Russel Brand was pedalling in a BBC 3 documentary last night.

This absurd assertion is popular amongst the weak minded because it allows them to present themselves as victims of something beyond their control.Their habbit and lifestyle choice becomes instead a disease like cancer or tuberculosis and is thus conveninetly removed from the realm of volition morality choice and responsibility.Any hope of effecting a cure is foredoomed if this line is taken hence its preniciousness.

The wider issue totally unadressed was the role the State plays in prohibition and the obvious solution namely decriminalisation.Throwing people in jail for putting substances in their body is an egregious abuse of the criminal justice system and a gross violation of individual rights.

The Rugged Trousered Individualist

The individual poses an existential threat to Democracy and is public enemy number one.Independent schools teach independence.State schools teach Statism.The latter discourages individualism and encourages groupthink,enforced by Marxzoidal teacher unions whose job it is to miseducate and provide more welfare fodder and thus keep Labour which they bankroll in power.They teach employee mentality not employer mentality.

Entrepreneuralism is a threat and the young are taught to be dependent on others to employ them rather than start their own business.Employers are seen as the enemy to be controlled by taxes,Red tape,regulation and turned into defacto State employees,running a welfare service rather than a business.

Towards A UK Objectivist Republic

What would an Objectivist UK look like and what would it involve? I can only offer the following very broad sketch. Firstly, an outright rejection of Conservatism and its tradition worship,its lickspittle allegiance to monarchy and its mystical belief in altruism and State patronage and of course Labour with its undiluted statism.

An abolition of all taxation over a ten year period with its implicit abandonment of all welfare programmes and the funding of armed forces police and courts on a voluntary basis.

Others can fill in the details.I am not a policy wonk or a Ryan Paul.Simple declaration would say the State is not your parent.It will not police who you sleep with,what you ingest,what healthcare you purchase,what school to send your child to,how you spend your money.

The State's sole purpose is to protect your individual rights and to punish those who would seek to violate them.When it becomes the violator of said rights it is illegitimate and should be overthrown.The right to bear arms is in the Bill of Rights and people have a right to defend themselves against a tyrannical state.Capitalism is the only system that guarantees the above and any attempt to regulate it is the first step to Statism via the primrose path of the mixed economy on the altar of which all the main political parties worship.

Borris Is Redder Than Ken

The collapsing disintegrating tory party is clutching at straws in bigging up the ridiculous Borris Johnson who with his messianinc delusions, cult of personality and Socialist agendas is every bit as Red as Ken.

Whenever Tories get into office their feet are barely under the table and they have gone native and are empire building like the very Leftists they pretend to oppose.Grandiose infrastructure schemes,featherbedding industry,taxing,regulating,grandstanding,they become like the worst caricatures of liberals.The sorry Borris episode is one more reminder if one were needed that Tories and Leftists are all brothers under the skin and any rivalry between them is phoney and the mere narcissism of small differences.

Demagogracy

It is sobering to reflect on what little freedom there is in a democracy.Fundamental issues of choice are denied and no one appears to even notice.Whether it be in the area of education,health or how one's earnings are spent,all these things and more are now decided by politicians and government bureaucrats and the broad mass of the nation doesn't bat any eyelid as they hypnoidally file to the ballot box every five years to select their new tyrant.

As the years pass I have more and more sympathy for Guy Fawkes.In these more civilized times perhaps another method could be found to achieve the same ends.The rallying cry could be something along the lines of: 'starve a politician today - don't pay your taxes.'I am acutely conscious however that in this matter I appear to be a solitary figure crying in the wilderness.

Religion And Its Malcontents

Anyone can see the lunacy of David Icke and his ideas but many of those who do so are quite likely to hold a set of beliefs that are no less bizarre but because they are centuries old and are embedded into the culture they are not questioned or thought at all odd such as Christianity or Islam to name but two.Once supernatural ideas have been accepted their detail matters little,whether it involve christ resurrected,or a shape shifting reptile,both require a suspension of reason and disbelief,an abandonment of the mind and a reliance on faith.

A breach of the mind has been effected at this point and credulity and non thinking will now by default guide a person's life.Having had experience with believers I have seen myself how irrationality rules their daily lives and how their beliefs have given them licence to be irrational and then rationalise their beliefs to suit their agendas!No matter what happens to them they can always interpret it as a sign from God,the ultimate flexible friend.I can only conclude that as Freud said a century ago,all religious belief is a form of mental disorder.To be more up to date, Scott Peck said 'most people's religious beliefs are neurotically determined'.

Many in the religious establishment realising they are on shaky ground have sought to anchor their belief system in science itself,to coopt it in an attempt to legitimise it for a modern more skeptical audience and this is illustrated in the recent phenomna known as intelligent design theory.One religious leader even wrote a book called Finding God In Physics which begs the obvious question if you can do that why do you need faith,the very bedrock of religion?

Soham Travesty

The television programme last week about the murder of Holly Wells, the tragic child victim of killer Ian Huntley brought home starkly just how obscene the injustice of the liberal criminal justice system has become.The argument that if the State kills the offender this brings it (and by token us) down to the same level as the killer is crazy ill sorted liberal pretzellogic.

It is not killing the perpetrator of heinous murders that brings us down to the same level of moral depravity as them.The whole point of the justice system is to achieve a balance between the crime and the punishment.When those two are out of kilter, as they clearly are today, the injustice occurs.

We have also been told that the death penalty cheapens life but again this counter intuitive argument has been exposed as another liberal fallacy, for killing is very cheap today -you can practically get off with it scot free.People are killed for the most trivial of reasons,a pair of trainers,a mobile phone and it doesn't come cheaper than that.

Most reasonable people ie anyone who does not have their liberal head up their fundament would conclude that Ian Huntley never got his just deserts for his barbaric and evil deeds and that his only rightful place is dangling at the end of a rope.

Funny Thing About The Intellectual Left

Watching various appearances by Will Self on Youtube and whilst acknowledging that he is an interesting fellow with his monotone delivery and sesquipedalian peppered discourse I could not help but be reminded of an interesting characteristic of those intellectuals who lean leftward,namely the utter banality of their thoughts the minute they veer into the political.From complex ideas they slip seamlessless into the kind of banalities you would only expect to hear from a pub bore with an IQ in single numbers.Don't ask me to explain this phenomena, I only seek to drawn attention to it but it does fascinate me, almost as much as why people hold left wing beliefs in the first place!

The tyranny of hurt feelings dictates that a person's freedom of speech be circumscribed by another's right not to be offended by it.We have the police arresting people for thoughtcrime,the expression of politically incorrect views on twitter and social network sights and this exactly a year after the police stood back and facilitated the wholesale looting and destruction of towns and cities across the country by feral yahoos and youths totally exempted from the rule of law.It is clear that the police have become a criminal corrupt arm of a corrupt State and that we are slouching inexorably towards totalitarianism.The Endgame of Democracy is staring us in the face.

Curse Of Izlam

We are all supposed to be terribly concerned about what is going on in Syria but I am not.I actually think arabs killing arabs is a good thing,something to be encouraged and facilitated rather than stopped.If they are killing one another they are not killing us.We know the self loathing amongst arabs is the death force that drives them,the endgame of their nihilistic belief system which is a corrupted plagiarized version of a plagiarisation (ie christianity) and it is entirely in our interest that they self eradicate themselves,raize each others mosques to the ground and put one another to the sword or roadside bomb and that they continue to do this on an industrial scale.

The only bright spot in the whole Middle east is Israel but for some reason we seem intent on demonising it whilst perversely championing the arabs who are primitive,barbaric,uncivilised and parasitic and have no redeeming qualities and instead have sought to destroy the modern world with the disgusting despicable amoral support of the so called intellectual Left.

The camel f#####s would still be living in tents if the West had not drilled for oil because they are too stupid and primitve to do it themselves,lacking the technological know-how.Then like the parasites they are they sought to nationalise the achievements of the West and we are in the mess we are today as a result.

Just as the Fascists killing Communists during the Second World War was a welcome development so the arabs and islamists killing one another is too.We should seek to deracinate arabs from the West,dump them back in their Middle East hell hole and let them finish the job of self extinction.

Boredom,The Last Taboo?

You never hear anyone talking about boredom in public.Children whine about being bored but for adults it seems like the shame that dare not speak its name.I sometimes wonder if I am the only one prone to it and it is a personal failing.As I only inhabit this space and no one else's I cannot tell for sure but I guess it is a universal human condition,a manifestation of what one associate long ago termed an awareness of 'the pain of one's existence.'

So if it is metaphysical in nature what is its provenance?Those of a religious bent would say, as the previous quote suggests, that it is the curse of fallen man,the painful awareness of one's sinful nature and being flawed and human we seek to escape from this feeling with endless distractions and pleasures.

All of modern life in this context could be seen as a flight from reality,a doomed attempt to escape from the realisation of our plight as sinners.I am not entirely sold on this explanation but it would explain the existential angst one periodically experiences.Boredom is a bit like a spiritual cancer that corrodes the soul.It steals up on one like a thief in the night but unlike the latter is reluctant to leave and hangs around for an hour or so and then goes as mysteriously as it came.Maybe it is a modern phenomena caused by too much leisure.

I actually find the average person very boring and cannot to be in the company of people for that long.Domesticity,the mundane,commonplaces,all these can set one off down the ennui path and of course if one is bored when alone the worrying yet ineluctable conclusion is that oneself is boring!

The Soul Of Man Under Democracy

Under democracy your life does not belong to you but the group.Your life is determined by majority vote.If you happen to belong to the right group you get advantages taken from those not in your group.Under Democracy your life is not your own.Conservatives are perfectly happy with this arrangement which is why anyone wanting to defend freedom and liberty should never vote for them.Many do out of a mistaken belief that they believe in freedom because they make some sympathetic noises to that effect but their actions invariably belie their words.Hence the frustration of so many Conservative voters and if you don't believe me go to Conhome website and witness all the frustration expressed by contributors towards the party they for some strange reason support.

I am puzzled why a libertarian party has not emerged here in the UK and would love to see such in the near future but am not aware of any grassroots movement alas.The political climate in the UK is very repressed and politically correct and even those who do have serious issues with Statism feel they have to pay lip service to it and pledge allegiance to welfare and taxation and big government.Anyone who stands up for unconditional liberty is villified and demonised and called an extremist so it takes strength and conviction to resist the tide of statism sweeping all before it.

Military Listen Up

Thousands of our boys come back from war traumatised and suffering from PTSS and it is a scandal that they have not been provided with the basic rudimentary fundamental psychological weapons of war to prevent this condition from developing in the first place never mind ignoring it after the fact and sending them back to civvy st to fill our jails and wreak havoc on their hapless families who bear the brunt of their untreated and wounded psyches.And what is the essence and core of the problem,what ommission in their training has left them vulnerable to psychological trauma,to turning them in effect into walking time bombs ready to explode at the slightest domestic stress or pressure?

The enemy has written the psychological handbook of winning by intimidation but it seems our best minds in the military have not read it much less disseminated it to their men in the field.This is scandalous.Outrageous.And the answer is so sublimely simple.We teach our military men not to be intimidated by the enemy.Yes we teach military tactics but what use is that if the enemy knows how to penetrate the psyche of our forces and traumatise them,effectivly programming them to go home and destroy their loved ones?

We must teach how to kill the enemy without compunction and without any reaction to intimidation by the enemy. The results will be instantaneous - no guilt,no trauma to bring home and unload on loved ones,no excess emotional baggage because there will not be any acccrued.An army like that would be invincible.

And lastly we must respect our military and not use them as pawns in some politically correct UN inspired phoney war where they are tasked with impossible missions to civilise Arab barbarians instead of just despatching them to hell where they belong. It is morally criminal treating our military like social workers attempting through some fatal misbegotten liberal conceit to win hearts and minds when the enemy's heart is black and the mind reprobate.

BBC Radio 4 Cognitive Disonnance Central

Radio 4 Today programme does cognitive disonnance on automatic pilot.Every other item is a shameless pitch for more government involvement.No matter what is under discussion the conclusion is invariably: the government needs to do something about it.My own solution to this is to mandate that a Conservative minded journalist like Andrew Neil be put into the Today prog and shake things up.

Imagine the likes of Naughtie and Humphries having to deal with Neil and the tension that would produce.Right now it is like a morgue,an air of death pervades the studio.Liberal assumptions of the programme and its ethos need to be counterpointed by a Conservative perspective and this should be mandated by the government in the name of balance and fairness.

Ultimately the BBC should be sold off to the highest bidder but in the meantime fairness and balance must be introduced into the programme composition as a matter of urgency.It is nothing short of a scandal that things have been allowed to develop where the Leftist tendentiousness of practically the whole output of radio 4 has gone unchecked and unchallenged for literally decades and it represents an abuse by the BBC establishment of its powers on an egregious and disturbing scale.

Conservative Necrosis

I was asked by Tim Montgomerie over at Con Home in the comments section to give my recipe for the party as I had criticised his.I couldn't be arsed because it would be a bit like giving careers advice to a cancer patient on his death bed.There is no future for the conservative party,it is in an advanced stage of necrosis.It needs death rites,not a manifesto.

Yes I come in for a fair bit of abuse for my pains on that site but the evidence is all on my side that this historical monstrosity belongs in the natural history musuem perhaps entitled Brontatoryaswrecks.To hear those folk over there suggesting various tweaks to get the show back on the road is so pathetic it almost makes you feel sorry for them in their deluded belief in their political resurrection.

A party that could not defeat Gordon Brown and had to save its very skin by getting into bed with Satan Liberals has got moribund written all over it.We should rejoice at that news.It will make way for a genuine pro Capitalist party that can stem the tide of Statism and reverse it radically.This I predict.The Tory party is dead.It just won't lie down -yet.

God And Peter Hitchens

In extracts I have heard of the estimable Peter Hitchens reading from his work Rage Against God apparently inspired by his late brother Christopher's personal campaign against the Deity I was rather disappointed that he did not attempt to counter any of the innumerable charges levelled against the faith by Christopher but instead has written a sort of confessional along the lines of St Augustine perhaps, telling us the sorry story of his abandonement of God at age of 14 and his consequent temporary descent into perdition via the primrose path of dalliance and prodigality until he was mercifully saved by a damascene epiphany to become the upright stern representative of the Good we all know and are familiar with today.

In a symbolic act and break with his reverence and respect for God and Authority the plucky and anarchic schoolboy Peter set fire to the Good Book and although his attempts at holy immolation were not fully successfull this symbolic act of rebelion and defiance unleashed he believes dangerous dark forces that he had no inkling of at the time.Leaving his faith behind unleashed a capricious,rude lawless helion who was free to dabble with the dark forces of drugs,treat people contemptibly, even mocking a boy in a wheelchair, generally acting obnoxiously and peppering his vocabulary with liberal helpings of obscenities at every available opportunity.He seemed to have concluded Dostoyevsky fashion that without God 'everything is permitted.'

This is a curious and common phenomena amongst believers ie that without God no moral ethical system for man is possible or conceivable.He tells of his time in the Soviet Union, its atheism and hatred of faith, almost implying that non-faith will lead to Communism.(He was at one time an unavowed Marxist.)For those undecided folk the believers do not help their cause by refusing to even join the debate on the issues and they leave a lurking impression that they have no answers to the aethiest argument.It is hard not to conclude that Mr Hitchens has switched from one ridiculous belief system to another without missing a beat.

Why is there such a deafening silence from libertarians here in the UK?If anyone has spotted one on their travels please let me know.The MSM is a wasteland when it comes to expression of non statist views.This may puzzle some as we are supposed to be in a Democracy wherin exists a plurality of viewpoints.Obviously some viewpoints are more equal than others.

It seems in the national debate the parameters of the narrative have been set in concrete.Don't mention freedom.(I did it once but I think I got away with it.)I know some people think I am too hard on the Conservatives but they really are to blame for our plight by pretending to be defenders of Capitalism whilst selling it down the river at every available opportunity.They are like a dead weight of history ,a giant corpse of betrayed trust and false promises,a roadblock to freedom,prempting the field and flying under false colours.Until someone slays the beast there is no hope of change.

So a Tory comes on the Today programme and warns against fetishising the free market.He appeals to a mystical Burkean tradition which involves (apparently) worshipping the unborn and the dead who comprise past and present voters - (don't follow me,I am lost too!)- and herein he claims, is the tory heritage of conjoining State and Market in some mushy embrace - and this is the essence of toryism.Well I guess this worship of the mixed economy is now the offical State religion and what a great record of success it is.Where is this mythical fetishinsing of the market anyway?Is Mr Waldegrave living in some other place,does he go round with blinkers on?I believe he is the standard Tory representing its prevailing 'philosophy' and if so it explains why when searching for a party that upholds freedom and liberty and Capitalism the Conservative party should be the very last place anyone should look.

The Dark Night Of Democracy

Individuals have nothing to benefit from Democracy and everything to fear.Throughout history individuals have been tyrannised by the Church,Monarchy and the State.Only in 19th century America did they escape this tyranny partially but because the constitution was flawed and did not stress individual rights fully it has been encroached upon by Statists of very stripe and gradually witled away until in its present form America is all but Socialist.

No one in Europe has any inking of liberty and its guiding principles as they have no history to draw from.There was never a time when some Lord,or priest or monarch or politician was not tyrannising over the populace and enslaving it with burdensome taxation.By 1945 the British people were totally set up to accept and even vote for their ultimate serfdom in the form of the Welfare State.Centuries of conditioning to enslavement led them like sheep to the ballot box were they duly bondaged themselves to serfdom.

Talk to anyone in Europe about the need for a small state and individual rights and a glazed look will come into their eyes or a sort of unfocused anger will possess them and the ad hominems will follow as sure as night follows day.Remember the movie The Body snatchers where everybody had been taken over by aliens and programed to do their masters bidding-this is where we are.Those who have not been 'snatched' have to take to the hills.You cannot debate with captured aliens or reason with them.Save himself who can.

Freedom Cannot Come Via Democratic Process

The trouble in democracy when it comes to regaining liberty is that there are too many vested interests ie part of the electorate for whom redistributing money via the tax system from their neighbour's wallets into their own is too attractive a proposition for them to want to vote for changing it.The producers and business people who create wealth are in a permanent minority and are ripe for plundering by politicians seeking power and votes from the majority.At least they should stop supporting financially the conservative party that never delivers any relief for the business sector and only heaps more taxes and regulation upon it.

This is known as sanction of the victims and the business community should cease such masochistic behaviour.They should instead seek to fund a movement that is wholly supportive of their interests but even this would never provide a majority at the ballot box and in conclusion one has to say that change cannot come through the democratic process and will of necessity involve employer's non compliance with the tax laws and concerted action by business to no longer play the sacrificial lamb to the state butcher.

Here I part company from the Randians who say that through education change will come.Well they have been saying that for over 60 years and look where we are.The States across the so called free world have only got bigger waiting for that to happen.Business should assert itself and no longer act as unpaid tax collector for the State or as welfare provider to their employees.Appealing to the masses to support such measures is like expecting turkeys to vote for christmas.

We have heard and seen an awful lot of delinquent behaviour from Socialist unions over the past century flexing their muscles and using force sanctioned by the State to extract money and concessions from employers.It is time now to see some collective action from the wealth producers in the form of civil disobedience and witholding of taxes and active resistance against state tyranny of taxation.

State Education V The People

A properly educated citizenry would have very little need for the State as provider.It would only seek its legitimate protection via its implicit threat of force towards those who would seek to cause them harm.This is why the State has a vested interest in ensuring that the broad mass of the populace is not properly educated.For this reason State education system is remarkable only in its success at producing uneducated and therfoe economically useless youths fit only to swell the ranks of the unemployed.Hence the resistance of State school establishment towards the academy movement started under the previous government and given form and self autonomy under the present administration.

The teachers unions have resisted this trend as they see the writing on the wall for the statist hegemony over education which is a form of pretectionism from competition and which defacto monopoly would be threatend by the introduction of independent non governmental groups running such schools thus freeing them from local council control with their implicit ideological stranglehold over the ethos of the schools.

So dogged and ideologically driven are the teachers unions that they have en masse resisted teaching phonics as a learning method of reading even though its staggeringly high success is well documented.With a looser curiculum not dictated by government this will introduce academic rigour into a system sadly lacking in the non academies sector which has been failing pupils for decades with trendy liberal politically correct subjects and methods of teaching that have failed too many young people whilst inflating their examination results in a cynical attempt to create a false picture of improvement and achievement.

Socialism As Secular Religion

Some people get annoyed when I say that Socialism is a secular religion but the characteristics and similarities between the two are striking as I will attempt to show.In a recent programme about the social reformer Annie Bessant it described how she abandoned her Christian faith for Socialism as she felt that the social ends she sought to achieve via Christianity could be better achieved through Socialism.

Many on the Left I believe made a similar journey from the mysticism of faith to the mysticism of collectivism with its dogma driven certainties, absolutes,pieties,authoritarianism,anti individualism,anti Capitalism and ruthless intolerance of dissenters and appeal to irrational groupthink tendencies.

Just as Christianity sought to control people's lives from a centralist authoritarian top down hierachical structure of the Church, scattering its benisons on the masses so too did socialism seek to appeal to the infantile wish of the masses for salvation from want and indigence via the agencies of the State rather than personal effort and achievement.Capitalism it was claimed led to selfishness and greed and alienation.

But is turns out that the profound deracination of self hood and anomie could just as easily be caused by an abandonment of individual action and the contracting out of personal responsibility to the State.God is dead,long live the State.At the root of both Christianity and Socialism is self sacrifice.The former urges people to sacrifice themselves to a mystical omnipotent deity, the latter to the omnipotent State.In both cases the individual wants and requirements are sacrificed to the 'other'ie anyone but them.

Lastly the two faiths are indeed held to by their adherents very frequently despite all evidence to the contrary. For example,even though the ministrations of Socialists have had palpably deleterious effects on their supposed beneficiaries the adherents to the faith evince no self examination or revision of said belief but hold fast to their faith even more doggedly and stubbornly showing once again how both religion and collectivism rely on mysticism and irrationality for their sustenance.

It is no accident that the country that took to Socialism and Communism most readily was Russia which was steeped in the mysticism of the Orthodox church with its other worldy fatalism, obscurantism,irrationality and superstitions.This fostered a passivity and fatalism amongst the people that the Communists would utilize to their great advantage on their assault on the individual and promotion of the paramountcy of the State to shape the individual into the desired collectivist mindset of conformity and obedience.

Was Christ indeed the first Socialist?He evinced a hatred of wealth and riches and took a vow of poverty.Rich people are going to hell -it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to go to heaven.Give up your wealth and follow me.

Is Psychiatry The New Religion

Religion was rightly criticised for exploiting vulnerable people and gaining power over them for venal ends but it was duly supplanted by another system of control and manipulation no less pernicious and harmful namely psychiatry which has its own shiboleths and dogmas and uses similar techniques to gain ascendancy over the minds of its hapless followers who are duly subjugated under its malign thrall to a helpless state of dependency.

More sinister than religion psychiatry resorts to drugs to ostensibly 'cure' the patient but of course the only result is a catastrophic destruction of sensibility and cognitive integrity.The father of this chemical tyranny was the arch mountebank and fraud Sigmund Freud and his pseudo scientific psychoanalysis.

A drug addict himself and a nihilist he concocted a bogus pseudo academic theory and soon created a cult following for millions who were only too happy to discard religious superstition for the enlightened Freudian substitute with its emphasis on sexual liberation and analysis of the unconscious.With a marked lack of scientific rigour Freud turned out volumes of turgid prose sprinkled with classical references to lend it a scintilla of authenticity and a whole industry of psychotherapy was born.

Depression is an industry,every other person is diagnosed with it and the drug companies are in clover.Except of course that it has to be proven that such a condition exists.Unhapiness is pathologised but it may just be part of the human condition.For religion to be rejected is a welcome development.For it to be replaced by a superstitious pseudo science with all the worst characteristics of a religion is something akin to a tragedy.

Why The Left Lie About Ayn Rand

Listening to Stepehn Fry tell an interviewer why he hates Ayn Rand anyone not familiar with her writings would think her a preternatural monster up there with Hitler and Ghingis Kahn.(Indeed this is not an exagerration as Hitler is often invoked by the Left when discussing Rand of which perhaps more later.)

This is a syndrome that those familiar with Rand's critics and the methods they employ will recognise all too readily.It seems that their desperate desire to appear even handed fair reasonable and intellectually honest in discussions flies out the window when confronted with the uncompromising Rand and her unique brand of individualism and assault on collectivist thinking.When under threat and put under the microscope the Left have no conpunction in resorting to the most crude primitive anti intellectual weapons of assault including ad hominem ,non sequitors,evasions,distortions,caricatures and smears.

Fry admits to not having been able to read Atlas Shrugged but does not of course allow this to be an impediment from passing damning and definitive judgement upon it.Imagine if someone came along and asserted that although they had never completed reading a single work by Dickens or Shakespeare this was not a bar to being an authority on the subject and how they would be laughed out of court by Fry and co.

Obviously when dealing with an unalloyed evil like Rand the Left do not feel obliged to follow the normal rules of critical engagement and objectivity.Why bother with any of that when the scatter gun approach of unsubstantiated charge and abuse will serve your purpose just as well?

To be specific Fry denounces Rand's 'hatred of ordinary people' which he terms 'just sick'.It is true that the Randian universe is mostly peopled with the extraordinary but that is the whole point.She is from the Romantic school of hero worship.Just as well criticise the authors of Superman or Batman for their lack of depiction of ordinariness and mediocrities.There is a whole literary genre depicting ordinary folk in the literature of Naturalism where anybody can have their fill of portrayals of zero worship and the anti hero.

In wanting freedom over slavery surely it could be argued that Rand is showing more respect for the ordinary people than the likes of Fry and his fellow collectivists who would have everyone herded into a Socialist commune and be delivered State edicts and directions from on high - for their own best interests of course.Disturbingly in his assault of Rand Fry evokes Meine Kampf and The Communist Manifesto and remarks that although Stalin did some terrible things at least the Manifesto offers some hope for humanity!Yes it is hard to fathom just how intellectualy dishonest delinquent and well,evil the Left can be.Perhaps he shares the latter's view that while one death is a tragedy a million is a statistic?

Why Murray Couldn't Win

Listening to Martina Navratilova on Desert Island Discs one couldn't help be moved by her spirit and the story of how a girl from a Marxist hell hole Communist Checslovakia escaped to America and was removed as if onto another planet with amazing shops and variety of food and the contrast between the drab prison of communism and the bright shiny lights of Capitalism could not have been more vivid or pronounced.It was just the icing on the cake when she chose Ayn Rand's Fountainhead as her book to take with her on the mythical island.That extraordinary novel is a handbook for winners and a cry against all the mediocrity that collectivism preaches and extolls.You cannot imagine the dour Andy Murray reading the Fountainhead far less understanding it.This country has schooled losers and failures for 60 years.Glorious failures are written into its dna.There are no winners,no competition,all must have prizes.See the grotesque spectacle of XFactor and the number of people who think they can sing because someone has told them so and because they deserve it.It takes a lot to turn a prosperous country into a economic and spiritual basket case but the Socilaists did it through the Welfare State and yesterday one more of its chickens came home to roost on the Wimbledon Centre Court.

Towards A Smaller State

People are quite receptive to reducing the size of the State if you ask them some simple questions.One would be 'who do you think should determine the kind of school your child attends,the State or you?' or''who should decide what sort of medical care you receive,you or the State?'Or 'who should decide what charities you support,you or the State?'The questions could go on like 'who should decide what art you pay for, you or the State?'All of these are no brainers.No one but a dyed in the wool Socialist would answer 'the state' to any of the above.And yet we see the State expand exponentially removing choice from people in more and more areas.This can only mean that it is expanding by default,in the absence of such questions being posed.If you offer people a real choice between freedom and slavery who would choose the latter but masochists?

The way the narrative about the economic crisis has been written by the statists is instructive and the unchallenged smears levelled against Capitalism have been unconscionable.See,the statists argue,this is the failure of capitalism when of course it is gross interference in the market by various governments that caused the crisis in the first place with their ill advised regulation,meddling and too big to fail bailing out of banks via taxation and pressurising of banks to dispense housing loans to people who could never afford them which caused the housing crisis..Whatever else this was it was not Capitalism but more like phoney crony corporatism.Still the narrative persists and the anti banking,anti business,anti Capitalist rhetoric is ratcheted up by the Leftists who see this as their chance to claim the moral highground and reimpose their collectivist solutions.If they are allowed to do this by default in the absence of a vigorous defence of freedom liberty and capitalism we will surely enter another dark night of the soul of collectivism in a back to the future socialist dystopia.

Can a Freedom Party Gain Traction In A Democracy?

It is an odd characteristic of Democracies how they gravitate to the centre ground of the Statist Quo and bar the US no libertarian movement has emerged across the globe.This is a puzzler and one I do not pretend to fathom.There are clusters of libertarian thought but they have not coalesced into a political force.Is it for want of a charismatic figure to lead the charge or more the individualistic nature of the libertarian that militates against collective action?Probably more the latter.A third explanation could be that libertarian thought is so diverse and contradictory that no coherent ideology has emerged for people to rally around. It is true that libertarianism is a very broad church,comprising such irrational theories as anarchism,minarchism,mutualism,Communism socialism ad nauseam.All the while it is so fractured and schismatic no united force against Democractic Statism can be anticipated.We have to look as mentioned to the US for guidance and as a marker of how to proceed with the tea party and the resurgence of interest into the founder of libertarianism herself although she repudiated the movement as irrationalist and opportunist - Ayn Rand.Her theories and writings on liberty and Capitalism and exposes of Leftist thought have never been equalled and any defence of Capitalism has to reference her contribution as a guide to how to proceed. An obstacle to freedom has been the Conservative movement which has presented itself quite unjustifiably and misleadingly as the champion of Capitalism when it has temporized with the mixed economy for 60 years and counting.Because it has been mischaracterized by its opponents on the Left as being pro Capitalist people have wrongly assumed that it is pro freedom when all its actions in accommodating mixed economy have belied such an assumption.Until people can be disabused of the notion that Conservatism equals Capitalism the Conservatives will continue to prempt the field and prevent the emergence of a pro Capitalist movement to dethrone it and consign it to well earned political oblivion. The weird thing about Democracy is how limited the debate is.Those who believe in small government are nowhere to be see and if they dare to stick their head above the parapet they are immediately shot at with ad hominem abuse and labelled extremist.
