Why Does The Left Talk More Than The Right?

I once asked a female member of staff at Waterstone bookstore why in the political section almost all the books were by Left of centre writers.Her answer was in retrospect quite insightful but at the time I was too irked to notice.She said 'maybe Conservative writers don't feel the need or the necessity to write books.'Spot on!Why bother writing books stating the bleedin obvious ie putting the Conservative pro freedom argument?Only of course it is necessary to assert core values even if this puts one in danger of being accused of stating the obvious.It may be obvious that freedom is better than slavery but in an age where slavery is dressed up in clever words as freedom it behoves us to expose the great liberal lie.

So why does the Left have so much to say for itself?Like the conman they have a lot of explaining to do.They must convice us by clever specious argument that up is down, and one and one is three and why we are foolish and mad and evil for not seeing it.This takes a lot of words,lots of books!

Islam. An Existential Threat To Humanity

The West continues to bend the knee to tyranical Islam.Totalitarianism is given a free pass as long as it is garbed in religious dress.Strip away the thin veneer of Islamic peity and the ugly face of Fascism is revealed and it is on the march in a street near you.Creeping Sharia law threatens our liberties and it is akin to allowing Germans living in the UK to set up their own alternative legal system based on the ideology of Nazism.Would we allow Germany to bradcast propaganda on British soil during WW2? Why then do we allow Iran to broadcast Press TV from London -a country with developing nuclear arsenal that has threatened to wipe Israel from the face of the earth? A country moreover that is a failed pariah State which funds terrorism.

Instead of waging war on Islam we are waging war on anyone who criticises it.The religious so called hate laws are designed to silence all criticism of Islam and the evil anti human barbaric primitive nihilism at its core.The leader of this sick religion was a paedophile child rapist,serial killer and epileptic MohuMad,crazed leader of a death worshipping cult who if he were alive today would be serving a very long jail sentence.This psychopath is what millions of Muslims worship.Let them,but we must be free to expose the insanity they embody and the unholy war on reality they have waged against the rest of us.

In Defence Of Tax Avoidance and Evasion

Is tax evasion the last taboo?To hear even Conservative views on this you would think it was the greatest human evil after paedophillia.In fact it probably carries with it a longer prison sentence than the latter.I think it needs a champion and in the absence of anyone stepping up to the plate I will will offer my own humble services to this unpopular cause.

If we see someone who looks like a mugger in the street coming towards us good sense tells us to cross over or go down another street to evade him.Is this not what the State has become, a mugger, except that in its case it is mugging on an industrial scale,wholesale larceny,a form of organised crime with the whole panoply of the state behind it?True,it has a whole Statist Socialist philosophy to justify its criminality,a lexicon or rationalised euphemisms about,'duty', 'moral responsibility' 'those with the broadest shoulders' ad nauseam. But when all the ratiocinations are stripped away is this not what the criminal does to rationalise his actions? He too picks on on those with the 'broadest shoulders' to plunder in his nightly sorties on the wealthier properties around the country, engaging in his own personal wealth redistribution programme.

It makes about as much sense to accuse the individual who evades the mugger in the street of 'exploiting a loophole' as it does to accuse the wealthy businessman of the same thing who has worked hard to achieve success and does not see why he should allow the fruits of his labour to be plundered by career criminal politicians spouting their pious cant about duty and moral responsibility.

The Phoney Drugs War

Why is it that the Governement that cannot even police the streets and protect us from serial criminals wants to police our bodies, telling us what we can and cannot ingest?Isn't this rather odd?Something is wrong with this picture.Our thoughts are policed as well and those with politically incorrect ones could well have their collar felt by PC Taliban invoking religious hate crime legislation. So, we have to ask ourselves what is behind this bizarre morally inverted universe our police authorites inhabit and what is the thinking behind their twisted priorities.

I am going to try and monitor and report back over the next few months on my BBC listening to document Left wing bias where I observe it.To build up a sort of dosier as it were.To start the process I will refer to a comment by Justin Webb whom I lothe with a viscerality that is is frankly verging on the unhealthy.In fact this whole excercise may just be a reflection of my latent masochism.For a sort of Tory/Capitalist having to listen to the BBC period is an exquisite form of torture but someone has to do it gentle readers and I have elected to suffer as it were on your behalf - so you don't have to.Bear with me.With nose firmly held I shall proceed.

Today on a discussion about funding of the arts by philanthropists, Justin Webb referred pejoratively(believe me, I have an acute antennae for this sort of thing) to 'Big Money'.Has he ever made pejorative reference to 'Big Governement'?Has he ever.Is it not odd incidentally to reflect on the attitude of those who think the Arts should be funded by the State in that they are effectively saying that unless people are forced to support the Arts by the compulsory extraction of taxes the Arts would perish?What a profound lack of confidence in the Arts this implies.Or is it that they see the State as a tool in their cultural war,funding their thinly disguised propaganda masquerading as Art? I think both.

I think we need a Conservative journalist like Andrew Neil on the Today panel to get a little balance.Perhaps I should start a campaign?

You will notice that on the BBC the Left are always given twice as much time to put their case.They will even take up the time of their Conservative opposite number,interrupting,talking over them and of course the host will allow this trespass as he or she is coming from the same liberal left position.The host will almost always let the liberal guest have the last word.

Finally, the Today programme would not be complete without a performance by their own liberal darling Sham Liberty Chuckyourbalti prissily defending in faux moral terms the rights of would-be terrorists to go about their business of blowing us all up unmolested by the securtiy services.This apologist for all things terrorist and the free pass she gets from the BBC makes my gorge rise and is probably inimical to my blood pressure but, - all in the course of duty!

Osborne's' 4 Year Plan to De-Sovietise the British State

There was a certain undisguised relish in the coalition back benches at Osborne's bravado performance of unpicking the Socialist welfare Leviathan State. A gargantuan feast of ideological red meat was served up.When we study it in detail enthusiasm may wane but the mood music at the moment is we are heading in the right direction and the age of the Big State with its devouring maw consuming aspiration,creativity,intelligence and industry is passed and the new age of liberty and freedom ushered in.

No one runs their 'own business' anymore! Marr and the Liberal State

Andrew Marr does not think much of bloggers.He thinks they are weird.(Has the man looked in the mirror recently?) He complains about their anonymity and thinks this contributes to the coarse and vituperative dialogue on the net.Perhaps he wants them to identify themselves so th thought police can come round and arrest them for thoughtcrime? They are anonymous because like samizdat the net provides a forum for people who cannot speak openly in public without the BBC like forces of political correctness, of which Marr is an obscene specimen,attempting to circumscribe their freedom of speech.

The sheer chutzpah of Marr and his ilk is breathtaking. The BBC has virtual hegemony of the airwaves and does so by compulsion by the State. The British people are forced to finance the corporation if they want to own a TV on pain of imprisonment. But this is not enough for Marr it would seem. He wants to put a stop to all the independent expressions of thought not officially sanctioned by the State.It is worth paying attention to Marr because in his person we see the soul of the liberal fascist laid bare.

France, Manana Republic?

France is a foreign country.They do things differently there.Suggest that people who can now live to nonagenarianship should not retire at 6o and they are out on the streets acting out their puerile Bastille psychodramas.Rather than confronting such delinquency the EU has enshrined it.Do we really want to be part of such a system as France lurches towards its own Greek tragedy and drags us down with it?Having a de facto Marxist country as neighbour is the definitive reason why the UK should NOT pool its nuclear sovereignty with it.We may need friendly nukes to drop on Brussels one day...

What Would a Country Based On Individual Rights Look Like?

Freedom is scary for people who have been born in slavery.There are very few people alive today who were of voting age in 1945 and so the very idea of freedom and liberty is foreign to the post war generation.This is why the near hysteria that erupts if you dare to venture that the Welfare State should be abandoned.It is akin to questioning apple pie and motherhood -or the British equivalent.You are howled down.We msut have this debate regardless!We must not be bamboozled into silence.There is too much as stake to simply cower apologetically for the sin of believing in freedom and a limited state which is its sine qua non.

What has been achieved by Fox in bringing right wing anti government perspective to the news is an invaluable template for a British version especially in the light of the abovementioned channels with their tendentious broadcasting which has gone unchecked and as the coalition has promised a review of broadcastig ownership this could lead to the possibility of a Conservative free market oriented news station in the near future.

Banking On A Bailout

Blaming the banks for our economic woes is like a mother blaming sweet manufactuers for her childs rotting teeth, or a man with lung cancer blaming the cigarette manufacturers.Who took out all the godamn credit cards,loans and mortgages? America,Prohibition Drug War Folly

I am a great fan of America but it shocks me that it can lock up so many of its citizens for drug possession and prostitution.That a country born in freedom could end up seeking to police people's souls and dictate what they can and cannot ingest is troubling.If we believe in a limited State we must be consistent and not then seek to wage war on people's choices however dumb they may be. It is for this reason that I think the war on drugs is insane,illiberal and a criminal waste of taxpayers money.There is so much hypocrisy too in that alcohol and legal drugs abound.

Prostitution may well be abhorrent but again the hypocrisy abounds.Marriage could be seen as glorified prostitution.The man brings home the bacon and the women provides sexual services. There is a financial element to marriage as testified by the legal alimony battles during divorce proceedings.It is not the role of the state to make people moral.Let each man work out his own salvation in fear and trembling (as the good book sayeth!).

The Bible and Other Fairy Tales

Human imagination is limitless.Millions if not billions of books have been written,works of the imagination.The Lord of the Rings,Harry Potter, the Bible.Is it just another fairy tale? It was written by human beings and we know how it is human to make things up. Yes,God is supposed to have infused them with the words but I could make up a story and say it was dictated by God.Why should we take such things on trust?

Religious people have left a trail of havoc and oceans of blood through the centuries.I think a large dose of cynicism is in order.Scott Peck thinks most religious beliefs are neurotically determined and he could be right.Most religious people I know are nincompoops.Even Roy Masters sounds kooky to me these days.He claims you can find God in physics but I find most of what he says incoherent gibberish.If we can find God in physics why do we need faith?Does that not undercut the whole belief thing?

There should be a separation of school and State.These government tax funded faith schools are troubling.I do not want to subsidise mad mullah Muslim schools or any other religious ones for that matter.Have we not got religion to blame for Communism and Socialism? The idea that we are our brother's keeper informs the Left thinking and from which was forged the Welfare State -which was even called the New Jerusalem.

When we examine God objectively he is not avery sympathetic character, displaying totalitarian psychopathic tendencies.If man created beings who had created the havoc and horror that humans have he would have a lot to answer for.Hasn't God got a lot to answer for if we accept he is the creator of mankind?He seemed content to sit back and watch jews herded into the gas chambers.

I am not saying any of the above is necessarily my viewpoint but I do think we should be a bit more critical of religious belief and ask ourselves whether to suspend disbelief re God is that healthy.

What Are Women For?

Women have two functions.Reproductive and child minding.Note I do not say child rearing as this is the male function,to bring the child up as a rational unemotional person.They have a decorative function which facilitates the reproductive one.Feminism is an emotional spasm given a pseudo intellectual gloss with its roots in Marxism.

Women in marriage should have no role in society outside the home least of all in politics.Their irrational unstable emotionalism has given birth to the horrors of Socialism and Communism.There are a few rational women in history namely Ayn Rand and Thatcher but the exception does not prove the rule.

Freedom of the individual of course must prevail and I speak here only of the moral ideal,not what shoud be enforced by the State.

Short prison sentences do not work so we won't send criminals to prison! Is the internet all that? How has it changed anything?Politics in the UK is business as usual.We have a Left of centre Tory party and the same old corruption of the two party system.People are chattering away in their own blog enclaves, each with their own clique,claque, hangers on and groupies, the politicians have wised up to the game and are all blogging.Ditto the MSM.I fail to see any revolution here, just a reconfiguring and regrouping of the status quo.When a billion voices are chattering who can hear?Maybe China and Iran will become more politiclly free but there are precious few signs of that and it will probably take Israel to nuke Iran into the 21st century(please God).We have the internet to thank for the abomination that is Obamma, a nightmare of inconceivable horror that the free world may well not recover from.It can be an educational tool but even that is somewhat overplayed.Are today's children better educated as a result?! It could end up being a more effective tool, conveyor and facilitator of ignorance and mass stupidity.

Is The State The Enemy Within?

If the use of force against an individual by an individual is illegal and carries a prison sentence why is force against an individual by the State permitted and sanctioned? The role of the State in a free society is to protect individual rights ie the use of force against an individual is a crime and the State's function is to punish those who commit such acts with the full force of the law.In a Democracy this principle is reversed.The State is the initiator of force against the individual through taxation which is the violation of property rights.Such a State has at this point become illegitimate and the people have a right to overthrow it! Democracy is the mantra of all demagogues,the hypnotic tool of despots and every four years the demoralised drones of demagogueryy dutifully file through the ballot stations and sheep like vote their oppressors in for another four like lambs voting for kebabs.

British Tea Party?

Is a Tax Revolt in the offing?The British are renowned for their bloody mindedness we are told, although I have seen no sign of it in my 51 years.(The Government says Tax! and we say How high?) Still, you have to dream.They just need a figurehead.Someone who will lead them to the barricades.What they have to see is the present Parliamentary system is not working and something along the lines of Labour's latest proposal of electoral reform of quasi PR will have to be introduced to allow the smaller parties to influence government.The cosy LabTory Con-sensus is long over due for demolition.It gave us the EU,Multiculturalism, Big Government that has taken us to the very brink of Totalitarianism.Surely the British people have eaten husks long enough? Or will they like the Leviticus dog go back to their Tory vomit?
The corrupt two party system has also given us the eubonic plague of Multiculturalism. In the 80's there was a genuine choice between the big two but now that is no longer the case and they both represent Statism we do need PR.Independents,BNP,UKIP,Libertarians all need a voice if we are not to slouch towards totalitarianism.Parliament is corrupt and is aping its taskmasters in Brussels and the whole stinking system needs to be purged.The cosy LabTory Statist consensus needs to be smashed.

Innumeracy. It Doesn't Add Up

On TV the other day: how children cannot do basic Math - and neither can their teachers!They are teaching them who knows what gobbldegook in maths class but the children have not got the basics.Only under a Socialist State Education system.They try to pretend it is only one fifth who are falling behind nationally but when both pupils and teachers sat a test of basic math they all failed dismally so whoever is calculating the percentage of failure in the Government schools is clearly as innumerate as the techers and their hapless pupils.Why does this public scandal continue? It has to be by design.The teachers are all Socialist Change Agents brainwashed and programmed in the State Teacher Training Laboratories where all those with any intelligence are weeded out and the useful idiots who are Left are primed to miseducate and create another generation to add to all the past generations of brain dead students fit only for the welfare line and a life of dependency on the State, swelling the ranks and legions of undead, unthinking Labour voting fodder.

Ch 4 has been inviting different folk to say what the Bible means to them in a weekly series on the Good Book.Ann Widdecombe was on recently and the murderous Bastard Gerry Adams is on next week - so sick bags to the ready.Last week some dumbass feminist called Betthany was rewriting the Bible in front of our eyes and going through a list of Women Who Are In The Bible from Jezebel('misunderstood'),Eve('only obeying orders' -it was the snake what dun it), Salome, Lilith etc.These days I don't know what to think of the Bible but it is amazing how people bring all their prejudices to bear on their reading of a text which is predominantly unambiguous and lends itself to straight literal interpretation.One thing is for sure.The Bible may be lots of things but it is not a feminist Marxist tract.Women do not come out of the Bible smelling of roses.Their name stinks.Theirs is a peripheral role in all events except the Fall Of Man when they play an ignomionous role an no amount of verbal sleight of hand, hysterical revisionism and politcal correctness can alter that.

A tyranny made all the more shameless and abject it must be said in that it has the imprimatur of the British electorate who every four years vote back into power their own oppressors!Can it be doubted that taxation is the tool of tyranny as a man once said?It is a modern form of slavery in that it necessitates State coercion to force a disarmed population into the sevitude of those who will not work to maintain their existence.it is ann insurance scheme that no insurance company would ever dare to concoct.. Let their poisonous ideolgy rather be named and called out.And let the Conservatives totally and utterly disavow any tincture of socialist ideology from their public policy especially heaven forbid when smuggled under cover of the arch fiend and impostor, Pragmatism.

Democracy Is Slavery!

Mr Elephant in the drawing room Democracy is the problem.It is the mantra all Demagogues use when they wish to enslave the masses with their own vote.Like the Jews who paid for their rail journey to the gas chambers we pay our slavemasters and go freely to the ballot box to do it.Socialism via mind control has got pretty much everyone in its grip and only the blogosphere is attempting to awaken the living dead to its plight but there is no sign of the life as yet from the corpse of the UK Collective which suggests the rot has gone too deep and there will be no immaculate resurrection from the dead.

We are effectively crying in the wildernesss.The mainstream media has become a cesspit of Statism and in the words of the stalwart Fox presenter Glen Beck is the true fringe media.We are the mainstream.Is there a 'we' or is there only me? I despair of fellow Conservatives.In the UK the Conservatives are so far to the Left they are more like American Democrats.I have very little in common with them to the point that I am thinking of no longer calling myself one.I am ashamed and embarrassed by them.Their proposed reform is so tentative,timorous and peicemeal that it hardly warrants the term. Cameron is a slippery Social Democrat,Tory so- called intelllectuals are seeking to adopt the 'progressive' mantle and there is an unseemly rush to the centre which is already overcrowded - if the centre of a vaccum could be so described.There is a depressing and weary predictability to the Prime Minister in waiting Cameron's pronouncements and but for the fact that another four years of Brown would break the camel's back I find myself wishing for the Tory pre election cat in the bag triumphalist tone to be silenced by hubristic defeat a la Kinnock back in the 90's with his hillarious pre-election victory rally.

It is only when you listen to the ConservativeLabourLiberal Man with his emollient samespeak where words are uttered totally devoid of meaning that you realise just how much work would need to be done to change political dicourse here in the UK,what a Grand Canyon of a chasm there is between the politcal classes and the man on the street who is the victim of the Democratic stitch up and the dumbing down by the Liberal media and State Education establishment. What tyrannical sway the Statists hold over the hapless bemused and hypnotised masses! No! Since then it has been one long retreat as a default mode for the party that lost its nerve and has been apologising ever since for the one brief moment when it actually believed in something other than power for power's sake.Vote for that? Surely only Conservatives with a self esteem deficit and a masochistic streak could possibly consider accomodating such moral cowardice and delinquency by rewarding it with their vote?

As the New Labour project putters to its denoument no one who favours freedom over tyranny can be that optimistic about the incoming Cameron Project.Conservatives on other blogs seem to think that a Tory government can improve on the mess left by Labour but the feeble and half hearted reforms they are promising will clearly not do the job which means it will be business as usual,politics as usual -unless a new way is presented and there seems to be no one or no organisation coming forward with the kind of radical solutions to the UK's ills that would be required to save it from its present predicament.Perhaps it is the case that a country can reach a tipping point when things have gone so far that nothing can save it from terminal decline.I think we have reached that stage.In 1979 when Labour last took the country to the economic brink at least we had Thatcher to start her revolution.Now we have David Cameron...

So what can be done? I think the Conservatives are a bust flush and there is no point thinking that they will be able to offer the radical reform or revolution required.We will have to look elsewhere.At this point my ruminations lead me to a large blank out.Do my thousands of readers have any answers?Until Conservative voters come to the same conclusion about the Party that I have come to we are set for more of the same I am afraid.

Channel surfing as I do I came across and Indian TV satelite channel playing an old Krishnamurti lecture.He spent 40 minutes telling people in his characteristicalyy 'exploratory' way that the problem of Fear is caused by Thought.And Time. I know this blog is supposed to be about smashing revered images but with the sad passing of pop icon Michael Jackson normal service has been temporarily suspended.

The first time I heard I Want You Back was in 1970 at school although I was only 12(same age as Jackson) I knew straight away here was something unique and different.Here was a child prodigy and although he went totally la la and a whiter shade of pale, his position as major contributor to popular music is unassailable.I never believed he was guilty of the charges levelled against him and even Roy Masters who is no fan of music expressed similar sentiments.He was more Peter Pan than Pied Piper.

It was always improbable that he would ever make it back on stage in his frail condition to perform his gruelling routines that had made him world famous and financial pressures coupled with dependency on various medications were probably the final nails in his coffin.

Perhaps in mourning his passing those for whom Jackson's music provided some sort of soundtrack to their own lives are really mourning their own lost youth but whatever the case hopefully the undoubted genius will find in death the peace that elluded him in his troubled and strange life.

Here are just a few words used to describe Ayn Rand in a BBC2 Newsnight piece on Atlas Shrugged: a mad woman,fanatic,strange,mean,her novel contains 'Aryan youths with sharp cheek bones', an obssessive,vile,'dehuman',lacking in humanity.Her novel is cult-like suitable only for 14 year old children,her characters lack humanity,are without doubt.And so on. What does this tell us? Some of these comments were from Andrew Roberts who was supposed to be sympathetic. He explained that he was taken by Atlas but that was 20 years ago,presumably when he was 'idealistic' -something he now sees as an insult.

I think what all this shows is that people cannot deal with Rand and her message so their way of coping with her uncompromising reality and unbreached rationality is to resort to ad hominem and gross misrepresentation.How could anybody wade through one thousand pages of Atlas and come away thinking that Rand was a Fascist? Rosy Boycot for one,who made the Aryan slur.And here is the interesting thing.The word fascist is almost always used by people for whom it most aptly applies: liberals who beleive in big government and the all powerful State.What we have here is a classic case of projection.

To a liberal a book with the message that people should treat one another as free agents,basing their relationship on voluntary trade rather than State enforced coercion would be seen as 'vile'.In their inverted moral universe human sacrifice is the order of the day, 'need' is the highest value and independence and individuality is an evil that the State should work night and day to eradicate.In such a twisted universe that the liberal inhabits and wants to foist on the rest of us,any book which draws a picture of another world where people treat one another as non serfs and free men would represent a threat to everything they stand for.Every impulse to destroy values and human endeavour is threatened by such a book.It must be destroyed,its author ridiculed,slandered,calumnised,misrepresented and character assasinated.That is what the Newsnight prog set out to do,a demolition job on the truth and it was done with surgical albeit demonic precision.

The latest Tory Tax proposal of 45p on those earning £100000 is just another dismal example of what happens when a political party abandons principle for pragmatism and thinks it can operate in an ideological vacuum.Divorced from reality it stumbles into the territory of its supposed opponents accepting all their socialist programmes and is reduced to merely haggling over tax percentage points.

Conservatives are spineless,gutless,cowardly and fundamentally immoral.They despise philosophy and end up taking on board the philosophy of their opponents as it is not possible to be an ideological free zone.They have never challenged the premise behind income tax which is essentailly Marxist,Socialist Communist egalitarian,redistributive and criminal, reducing the population to mere serfs of the State,enslaved to a class of theiving Socialist bureaucrats.

Here is the wretched and obscene endgame of a party that prides itself on militant ideological ignorance and pragmatism.It is left floundering in a moral quagmire, up to its neck in Socialist ordure.

Andrew Marr referring to a guest's earlier life on Start The Week said:'You were a liberal idealist,innocent..' What a bundle of assumptions packed in to such a small space! What twisted form of ideology could possibly associate or conflate liberalism with idealism? A political philosophy which counts the highest good as every individual made a ward of the State is 'idealistic'?! One thing liberalism is not is 'innocent'.Liberals know exactly what they are doing.

This value laden assumption ridden tendentiousness is written into the dna of all BBC presenters and they would not be employed if they did not come ready made with this twisted ideological canker in their soul.Imagine a BBC presenter saying the following to a invited guest: 'You were a Conservative idealist,innocent'. No, I can't either!

Minimum Wage Retards Growth

The minimum wage should be abolished as it represents unaceptable State meddling with market forces and has contributed to the unemployment rolls for the added financial burden on businesses has meant growth has been hobbled,businesses have had to cut back on hiring staff which means less people in work.It is the height of economic illiteracy to claim that the minimum wage does not have any effect on hiring recruitment levels. The minimum wage was introduced at a relatively low level and as was predicted by its critics has since been raised by stealth.This is the standard practice of legislators who introduced income tax at a low level to minimise dissent and then progressivly and incrementally increased it over time.

The present economic situation would also be ameliorated by repealing other onerous employment legislation relating to matters such as maternity and paternity leave, unfair dismisal and discrimination cases which has had the effect of turning the working environment into an extension of the welfare state, retarding productivity and economic competitiveness.

How To Reduce State Spending

Some taxes ripe for the axe in these troubled economic times would be Corporation tax,Capital gains,Business rates,Vat.Savings could be made by eliminating some government departments altogether such as Ministry for sport,Media, The Arts Council and Foreign Aid.Providing bread and circuses is not the proper role of the State.

Tax funded art is almost always self indulgent, mediocre and pretentious, encouraging charlatans and the talentless.There is an inevitable bias to political art of a leftist persuasion which is little more than Socialist propaganda thinly disguised as art.Non representational,non objective art which no one would want or pay for vouluntarily is given a lifeline it does not merit.

When the government is not using tax payers money to subsidise pseudo art it is throwing it at opera and theatre.Poor working class people who have no interest in such art are thus forced to subsidise the elitist art of the upper classes who could well afford to pay the market price for their opera and theatre tickets.The likes of Dickens and Shakekepeare were not sustained by tax payers money and a flourishing culture of Arts existed long before the Arts Council came into existence.To suggest that it would not do so again if the latter were to be abolished is mere special pleading by people who cannot hear the word culture without wanting tp point a pistol at the head of the hapless taxpayer.

Roots Of Welfare State

The welfare state was founded on piracy,brigandige and plunder from the start.Private property and businesses were seized by force by the State and nationalised, reducing the hitherto independent sector to a miserable state of servitude and enforced public service.

How could a system based on coercion and brute force, pillage and appropriation lead to anything other than a Leviathan state and an erosion of civil liberties? Over night doctors were transformed from proud independent profesionals into serfs of the State,shackled hirelings ruled by government bureaucrats and arbitrary dictat. The self respecting doctors unprepared to prostitute their skills and talents to a Socialist system predicated on slavery and self sacrifice simply fled the country in what became famously known as the 'brain drain', leaving the suppliant remainder to relinquish their independence for a mess of State pottage.

THe social fall-out of the Welfare state has been equally calamitious.The family has effectively been nationalised, fathers supplanted by the mother State acting as surrogate.Girls can have babies on the State,be provided with an ersatz family structure, council accommodation, food provision,child benefit rendering the male socially redundant, with the inevitable corollary of social breakdown,crime and juvenile delinquency.

Socialism cannot function without coercion for no one would willingly subject themselves to its tyrannical yoke.It is therfor a total violation of individual rights,a negation of liberty and freedom. Why then to this present day is Socialism still presented as a benign expression of the humanitarian impulse? Truly a triumph of presentation over reality!

Saint Bevan And The BBC

Last night BBC4 showed a programme by Greg Dyke on Nye Bevan and it was the usual uncritical hagiography of a clearly wretched character who was almost singlehandedly responsible for the disastrous introduction of socialised healthcare in the UK.

Bully, thug, Bevan was a large burly figure not adverse to picking fights with employers and was from the start an aggressive agent provocateur trouble maker stirring up unrest in the work place.It was inevitable that he would go on to become an extreme Marxist Leftist in the Labour movement and the darling of the far Left which he came to dominate with his dubious powers of rhetoric and demagoguery.(As a recent controversy regarding a company blacklist of agitators in the workplace has shown, those seeking to disrupt businesses and stir up trouble often use the workplace as a springboard to politcal power and companies have every right to avoid employing such indivuduals and sharing inormation about them.)

The usual suspects were wheeled on to vouch for Bevan as a man of the people such as windbag Kinnock.The programme showed that there was a perfectly adequate healthcare insurance system run by employees long before the inception of the NHS which clearly provided all their medical needs but the obvious inference that there was therfor no need whatsoever for a universal national health care system was of course not drawn.The motivation for such a grandiose and unwieldly system was obcviously politically motivated,ideologically driven, designed to give meglamaniac political power lusters self advancement.

Born it would seem with a chip on his shoulder and a smouldering resentment of the successful Bevan was seen as a class warrior by his followers and his bile and inferiority complex came to the fore when well into his career of evil he declared at a public meeting that the Tories were 'vermin'.This played into the hands of his opponents and from that point his star faded and he mercifully died prematurely as all parasites do of cancer thus sparing the country from the fate of his prime ministership which would almost inevitably have taken Britain into Communist rule.

Capitalism Still Rules

Capitalism may be going through its dark night of the soul but who truly imagines that Socialism is our slavation?It can surely be no coincidence that every time the UK faces financial oblivion there is a Labour government in office.

To believe that Socialism can save Capitalism is to believe that foxes should guard hen houses.Every other politician is on the make,bending the spirit of the law on their expenses and most would not recognise fiancial probity if it kicked them in the teeth.

Brown was never a supporter of the free market and the banks fiasco has been a blessing for him as he gives his Socialist impulses free rein,nationalising the banks and seizing total control of the money supply like any power-crazed third world kleptocrat.

As it has been clearly demonstrated that command style Keynsian economics protracts recessions rather than curing them there is no excuse to go down that road to serfdom again.Only someone historically illiterate could retread that old ground.

The banks should have beeen allowed to take the hit and learn the painful lesson thus being more likely not to repeat such folly in future.The danger of Socialst intervention is that one bail out necessitates the next and future generations of tax payers are in hock to perpetuity.The banks hunger for tax payer bail outs will only grow with the feeding.

Teacher Teach Thyself

With tens of thousands of children falling off the school rolls at 14,record levels of truancy,(not to mention the thousands of parents who collude with their children's absence by phoning them in sick each morning) perhaps it is time to examine why the State schools are failing so many of their pupils.

We tend to think that if child does not like attending school there must be something wrong with the child but dare it be suggested that there might just be something wrong with school? Rather than addressing this the Government typically approaches the problem from the wrong end and issues a declaration that all children will have to stay in some form of education until they are 18!

Tens of thousands of children leave school unable to read or write which should be a national scandal and yet the government proposes that they remain in a system that has palpably failed them, showing what an extraordinary state of denail it is in.

If we take our car to the mechanic and he fails to fix it do we pay him? Why then do we continue to pay for a school system which is clearly dysfunctional and is failing so many of our children?

The school system should be opened up to competition.The Teachers Union have got a stranglehold on it and the results have been nothing short of calimitous.One teacher at a recent conference even declared boldy that teaching children phonics, ie by the sound of words as opposed to allowing them to guess what words mean, was quote 'Right Wing'!

The curiculum across the board is riddled by an insidious toxic political correctness and Socialist ideology which is enough to dull the minds of the keenest of students.Every subject has been so infected from Geography to History,English to Science.

Schools must be freed from the pernicious sway of Council employed Socialist minded teachers giving parents the freedom to choose their children's education free from State imposed dictat and the cleverly manipulative Social engineering of lottery and postal code selection.Those who choose the independent rout should also be given tax cuts as it is quite wrong not to say immoral for them to be forced to subsides a system they quite justifiaby have no faith in whatsoever.

Crime Under The Socialist State

People often wonder why the Government can never come to grips with burgeoning crime when the answer may be staring us in the face - albeit it may somewhat alarming.Big Governments that are ideologically driven do not regard crimes against the individual as being that important and sees social causes behind crime which renders it disinclined to allow the punishment to fit the crime.

What really excercises Governments of a totalitarian stripe is a fictitious concept called 'Crimes against the State' -and for this is punishes people most severely.Failure to comply with tax laws for instance will land you in jail quicker than mugging or burglary.Governments that are Socialist drven will be very lenient on crimes against the individual and very harsh on what it terms 'political crimes'.This explains why we appear to live in a country fit for robbers and muggers and why the innocent have to look over their shoulder in Brown's Britain before expressing an opinion for fear of being apprehended by police force on the lookout for Thoughtcrime.

Income Tax Terrorism

Income tax is a tax on intelligence and productivity which is why it is so loved by the Left. It is regressive,redistributive,punitive,egalitarian,Socialistic and profoundly immoral.If we need any tax at all it should be levied on a rational basis and it should not be motivated by discredited 20th century Socialist dogma.

Taxation has rightly been called the tool of tyranny and is a form of slavery forcing the productive to support the idle and shiftless.Workers are effectively slaves to the non workers.

Spare a thought for these hapless taxed drones many of whom have to file their own tax returns and are confronted by what amounts to a tome of inpenetrable jargon and bureaucratese designed by its very opaqueness to intimidate. (The Campaign for Plain English has clearly not penetrated to the inner recesses of the Inland Revenue)Non compliance leads to hefty fines of £100 a month and possibly £60 a day and an eventual jail sentence. Tax collectors have been given extraodinary invasive powers to enter people's homes, intimidate and threaten. A sign on the back of a van sums it up: "fight organised crime: Abolish the Inland Revenue".

Library Of The Dumbed Down

The reason charity shops abound in our High Streets is because they are not subject to business tax.Surely in these parlous economic times this business levy should be waived to give a much needed fillip to beleagured business?

Business may be floundering but Government just keeps on getting bigger with more people working for the State than any time in our history.If the market has to pull in its belt why not the State too?

Perhaps a good place to start cost cutting would be with our public libraries which have become surplus to requirements what with the proliferation of said charity shops that sell cheap second hand books and discount book stores including supermarkets.More and more library space has been given over to internet use where seedy furtive looking individuals hunch over computers 'chatting' endlessly online.

The last time I went to my local library there was a large display at the entrance celebrating what was called 'Black History Month' featuring books written by such dubious characters as Malcolm X and Nelson Mandela.I cannot imagine seeing a seeing a similar display celebrating White History Month with books by Enoch Powell somehow.

Newspapers in libraries are available but only catering for those who lean to the Left ie the Guardian, Independent, New Statesman. No Telegraph, Mail, or Spectator. There is an musty odour of municipal Socialism about our public libraries and it is time these not fit for purpose fossilised intitutions were let go.

Coucil Tax Grab

The council tax is really a misnomer as it is actually a property tax.It is a pernicious Socialist imposition and has doubled under this wretched Labour administration.

Everyone receives the same 'services' from the council so why should they not pay the same council tax? After all,when people go shopping they are not asked questions about their income or property -everyone pays the same for a loaf of bread and the price of goods and services are not predicated on some absurd egalitarian notion of 'fairness' or 'ability to pay. Only in Government are the laws of logic and justice arbitrarily suppended.

Now and again some hapless OAP is sent to jail for refusing to pay this iniquitous Socialist tax,but if instead of being picked off individually there were to be an en masse non payment a clear message would be sent to this rapacious Government that this council tax is an extortionate criminal tax too far.

Conservatism Is Next To Godliness!

I am sick of Conservatism being presented in a negative light in the media. The word Tory has always had a pejorative ring but when BBC presenters utter the word the sneer in their voices is clearly discernible.The word Conservative is only ever used on the BBC in a negative context. To refer to someone or a viewpoint as Conservative is the ultimate condemnation, rendering that person or thing totally beyond the pale and outside any civilised discourse or discussion.

This attitude of intolerance and bigotry is all the more offensive when research has shown that to be Conservative is a sign of highly civilised and evolved dispoisition. Conservatives love their children and take better care of them than liberals,are far less liekly to get divorced,take drugs,commit crime and anti social behaviour or end up in jail.If a survey of prisoner's politcal views were taken it is almost certain that the majority would be of a left persuasion which is why the Liberal party wants to give them the vote.They would hardly be putting forward such an outrageous proposal if prisoners were Conservative in their beliefs!

Conservatives are often charged with lack of compassion but this is just another egregious misrepresentation and slur.The difference betweeen liberals and Conservatives is that liberals have compassion for evil people whereas Conservatives have compassion for good people. Quite a big difference when yiu think about it.

The only criticism of Conservatives I have is that they are too prone to take such misrepresentation lying down and that they are not robust enough in their defence of freedom which is under systematic attack from liberalism. Conservatism is about a small State and defence of individual rights which means minimal taxation and interference from the State in the affairs of the individual.Rather than standing on these core principles Conservatives are too apt to mimic Liberals in moral panic and promise salvation via the State which is a betrayal of everything Conservatism is supposed to stand for. People are crying out for a champion of freedom from the bully State and a populist Conservative party would wipe the floor with the liberal alternatives if only the Conservatives would wake up to this fact and seize the day.

The Rich ARE Different

The likes of Allan Sillitoe on Desert Island Discs this morning seem to think that the rich create the poor.To paraphrase he said with audible anger in his voice that those who make excess profit from the poor should be strung up on lamp posts.Now let us reason together.If the rich were removed from the picture over night would the poor suddenly find their feet and liberated from the yoke laid on them by the rich become successful,well-off individuals?Does this scenario not stretch credulity to breaking point? Yet it is what is implicit in the Leftist narrative of exploitation and Capitalism.

If the rich did do a disappearing act the poor would have no one to blame for their miserble state than themselves so the Left should pray that the rich will always be with us so they can have a permanent hate figure scape goat upon which to focus their fear and loathing on and upon whom they depend for their carreer of appropriation and plunder via taxation.

Flat, Stale, Muted, Mannered, Tiresome Obummer Speech

What a damp squib and anti climax it turned out to be.For someone who likes to talk the talk it was a pretty feeble speech with the standard flowery flourishes and mannered verbal conceits, and, reflecting the man,without substance.But very dull. If the million strong rabble were expecting to be roused they would have gone away chastened and disappointed indeed.

The media were fawning and reverential of course having to create the emotion which was so lacking in the speech.The president faltered from the start and nervously stumbled on his oath which will mar his reputation as the great communicator.

The hysteria which has followed this man into office does not bode well and has bordered at times on demented idolatory. One cannot help thinking that this is a wordsmith and not a man of action; someone who is more likely to give a speech in a time of emergency than know what to do about it. The Left love him because he is an intellectual and shares their leftist delusions, but an ability to sway crowds with words is the tool of demagogues down the ages.The Germans who were renowned for their intellectual pedigree and culture were taken in by Hitler and his swooping rhetoric and a good speaker does not a good man make.The most easily suggestible and hypnotisable subjects are intellectuals.As Orwell once observed regarding some ridiculous statement: 'it was the kind of thing only an intellectual could believe'.One has the feeling with Obama that he is the kind of man who can believe at least six impossible things before breakfast.The audacity of hype indeed.

Thankfully there was no UN during the war with the Nazis giving them succor and aid.This is what the UN is effectively doing in Gazza.Its hostile pronouncements against Israel have shown it to be a biased tendentious pro Arab front rendering it unreliable and pro terrorist and therfor not an organisation which should be supported by western democracies.The EU is equally supporting the Palestinians with tax funded British money which is imoral and insupportable.Both the UN and the EU should be driven out of the Gazza war zone as western journalists have rightly been so that Israel can get on with the job of crushing Hammas.All the while they are there they are giving aid and support to those who seek the destruction of the West and that is a fundamentally immoral and active collusion with evil.

The timely assault on Gaza by the Israelis has been met with the drearily predictable and almost universal condemnation of it in the world's press.The rest of the world seems to hold Israel to a different standard, demanding from it behaviour it would never dream of applying to itself.Talk of 'disproportionality' is peddalled by the UN and other bodies of so called respectable world opinion,the same organisasions which have looked on as genocide takes place around the world without lifting a finger.

The protest around the world from hooligan semi barbarian foam-flecked arabs is also part of the tired and predictable circus that follows whenever Israel dares to stand up and defend itself from the psychopathic Hammas scum who hurl their rockets at civilian targets in Israel and terrorise the residents therin.London in particular seems to play host to these human faeces where no less than a thousand lay seige to the Israli embassy and the police were unable to contain them at first.Surely these specimens of human offal should be arrested and summarily deported back to the hell holes from whence they came.

Silly! It was about the scourge of(wait for it),unregulated Capitalism!

The country may be tetering on the edge of moral abyss but Rowan does not appear to have noticed,or if he has, thinks it not worth a mention.No,he is troubled about financial greed, the loss of collective consciousness,materialsm and of course,the environment.All the political fixations of the Left featured in the archbishop's ramblings, fetching up finally with his comments that it would really not be that a bad thing if disestablishment took place,by which time even the most ardent and traditional Constitutionalist could be forgiven for agreeing with him.

Up With The Fairies

Richard Branson attempted to cross the Atlantic in a yacht with his son and daughter.It was known to be a risky possibly life threatening escapade with the possiblity of breaking the world record.Why would he do this,threatening not only his life but those of his children as well? He asked the question and arrived at the rationale that life is about adventure.We tend to arrive at the answer to our questions that we want in self serving way dressing it up in high sounding language.

One explanation for this derring do is that modern man lives a relatively safe soft existence with no real life threatening events as his forefathers did and so seeks to artificially recreate danger and challenge in order to grow egotistically and derive energy from this interraction with danger,hence the phenomenon of 'extreme sports', where adrenalin-rush junkies get their fix dicing with death.

In Branson's case this could be tendency exacerbated by the fact that he lives surrounded by the luxury of the very rich and requires life challenging events to offset the ennui of riches and soft living.HIs mother told him to get out the car and walk home five miles when he was four years old.Unsurprisingly he got lost.Was this the trauma that set him on the path of high adventure? The mother's argument was that his childhood contemporaries were soft spoiled namby pambies going to birthday parties and she wanted him to be independent and strong. If a mother attempoted that today her child would possibly become prey to unwanted attentions of a paedophile, or be sent in to care.

At the end of the TV programme(on Virgin channel of course) Branson tells his daughter that if he could be a Disney character it would be Peter Pan the JM Barrie creation who never grew up. He would like to flap his wings at will and fly away,forever child-like.This could be good or bad.We have lots of men-children who retain their love of childhood things long after they should have relinquished them such as those who swear life-long allegiance to a football club or continue to buy pop and rock cds etc.On the other hand JC declares that no man can enter heaven unless he become a little child.

One gets the impression with Branson that for him there is no higher being than man,life is for adventure as he affirms,and that there is nothing beyond this life.If that is the case why not indulge in danger sports,carry on an open marriage(as he confesses, and sell condoms? Talk of a creator with a purpose for man would probably only elicit from him a bemused blank stare.

In place of God Branson seems to offer an ersatz humanistic religiosity.His business we are informed, is not for his children to squander in some playboy-girl fashion,dipping their fingers in his 'honey pot' empire for their personal pleasures.It is to serve a higher purpose,the community and environment.Perhaps he should come clean and admit that all those years ago when he was starting his empire the thing that motivated him was money fame and success,not some grim altruistic perverted philanthropic inpulse all entrepreneurs feel compelled to articulate these days, driven by some unwritten misguided politically correct ideology.

No one can say George Bush has not seen action in Iraq. He ducked those low flying Iraqi shoe missiles with all the aplomb of a true military professional. I was so impressed.Pity we cannot have another four years.Maybe some grandson of Lee Harvey Oswald is waiting in the wings to save America from the horror just around the corner.

There are about 10 million immigrants in the UK who have no business here at all and there should be a five year programme of shipping and flying all of these out of the UK and back to their country of origin.Only those who run lucrative profitable businesses should be allowed to stay,the rest are not welcome.A tiny island,we are sinking under the weight of alien hordes,creating a multicultural cesspit.Al queda operatives are walking our streets claiming job seekers allowance and housing benefits et al and the EU 'Human Rihghts' law renders us powerless to deport them.Only a country with a death wish would tolerate this state of affairs.

Murder Unavenged

The TV programme last night on the killing of Jamie Bulger by two 10 year olds a decade ago was chilling apart from the obvious reason of ten year olds going out with murder in mind in a cool detatched calculating premeditated cold blooded psychopathic fashion,but chiefly because of the way the judicial system handled the case which was nothing short of disgraceful and will be seen as a landmark case highlighting the moral abyss into which the criminal justice system has plunged.

There was no justice in this case as in so many others with the judiciary seemingly in the hands of people bereft of humanity who were hell bent on cosseting these two monsters and releasing them at the earliest moment possible after just eight years in the teeth of doughty opposition from the grieving mother who was no match for the liberal establishment of course who have given these two preternatural peices of human offal a whole new identitiy,and a brand new start in life with a legal order of silence imposed on the local authorities to maintain their anonymity.

It is clear that the only place these two belong is dangling at the end of a rope,but what can be said of the kind of people who run our judiciary who arrived at such a perverse counter intuitive judgement? For them there is no mitigating circumstances,no excuses,no exculpation,they stand condemned as moral delinquents,accessories to the fact, enablers of evil,facilitatos of gross injustice which cries up to heaven for correction.

State Educashon - Dumb and Dumber

Soon all children will have to stay in some form of education till they are 18- a sort of protracted illiteracy programme to keep them off the unemployment rolls. The dumbed-down curicula is plumbing ever new depths with the government's numbingly moronic proposal yesterday to scrap subjects like geography and history in favour of a politically correct miasma of studies in touchy feelyism,exploring emotions and Mickey Mouse soft social non-subjects to boost exam results and further erode the last scintilla of academic rigour in the sorry State education system.

Now why would any government want its subjects to be geographically and historically ignorant I wonder?

Welfare Reform Groundhog Day

There is only thing more perennial than Christmas and that is 'Welfare Reform'.How many times must we hear this mantra from Governments of every stripe -and why do they think anyone believes their feeble promises, more crumbly than pie crust? The Left need have no fear and trembling over this one.Hell will freeze over before any government takes any radical steps to end the welfare gravy train.Too many vested interests are at stake here and as they say,characteristics are reliable.

Economic Illiteracy of The Left

I wonder if Gordon took time off from his er, busy schedule to watch the excellent series about money on ch 4 by the historian Niall Ferguson. If he did perhaps he will take the clear lessons Ferguson draws about the folly of Welfare Statism and the economic fallacy it embodies.He cited the salutary lesson of Japan whose Welfare State appeared at first to have bucked economic reality only to see its whole shaky structure come tumbling down in the face of an unforseen demographic timebomb dynamic. Exposed for a gigantic ponzi pyramid scam the parallels with the British experiment of welfarism hardly need making.

A second example was Chile which was run into the ground by Allende the mad Marxist in the late 60's, early 70's only to be rescued by the Friedmanesque monetarist policies ushered in by Pinochet, the Left's bette noire.He turns out to have been a percursor of Thatcherism,eschewing centralist command economic Statism for free market capitalism which saw Chile go from the economic basket case of Central America to its bread basket. A timely message indeed for a premier hell bent it would appear, on taking this country on one of the greatest State economic binges in recorded history.

As the world watches Zimbabwe slide into the swamp of epidemic decay and death you you cannot help concluding that if this was a white dictatorship it would have been toppled a long time ago but because it is a black tyranny it gets a free pass from the bar of world opinion. Tony Blair's doctrine of benign intervention obviously does not extend to the black continent.

The question arises,can blacks self rule? The post colonial evidence across more or less the whole benighted continent of Africa is an unequivocal negative.Is re-colonialisatiion the answer I wonder? EU Goosesteps Ireland Into Another Referendum

Beyond shame, the morally bankrupt EU is to force Ireland to hold another referendum on the wretched Lisbon Treaty with the implicit threat that if it votes 'no' again -which it surely will if it has a modicum of cojones - it will place itself in non- communitaire purdah.

This totalitarian bully no longer feels the need to disguise its fascistic nature and is brazenly going about its business of strong arming Ireland into compliance with its dictatorial will.Surely now everyone can see the ugly soul of the EU laid bare in all its toxic putrescence and will arrive at the only possible conclusion about its hooligan insolence and anti democratic delinquency: its dissolution cannot come a day too soon.
